  1. Hi

I so want this contrib SEO 5 to work on my fresh OS install but it just aint happening!

When trying to access to admin is: Fatal error: Call to undefined function tep_get_version() in /mounted-storage/home2/sub001/sc17958-FIWR/my-store.co.uk/shop/backoff/includes/header.php on line 20

I have read and re-read the instructions. I have tried 4 times with no luck and each time re-installing OS.

    Any help appreciated. thank you!

Ps. Sorry in advance for my stupidity if a user error! (ps. I'm not such a newbie either!)

function tep_get_version is a new function in 2.3.1. are you sure that you have upgraded functions/general.php?

  2. Hey Jim,

Great contribution. I finally was able to install it after your 1.2.3 fix / file sorting. It works very well with the exception of the all_pages_title_string module. Just like Jack, I'm having an issue with this module. I had to deactivate it for the rest to work properly.

I also wanted to know if there was a way to include in the tags the model field. I sell car parts and I store the part numbers in that field. Customers find me by part numbers on my current site.

    Thank you.

I second that one, I sell electrical components and the model field would be a great addition

  3. Hi Jim,

I tried to install your contrib on a fresh 2.3.1, but I'm getting this:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ht_all_pages_title_string in /home/ccf23331/public_html/includes/modules/header_tags/ht_all_pages_title_string.php on line 13

This happens when clicking on "+ Install Module"

Any idea what it could be?

    Thank you.

PS: I removed all of the Header Tags modules prior to installation.

I am getting this same error. I will have a look tomorrow

  4. Thanks again, you are being a great help ( shame I didn't get this sort of help a year ago because this would have been released much earlier ).

I'll add links myself tomorrow see if I can find any issues.

I am not getting the errors any more with links manager. The only errors that I get now are all undefined index and undefined variable errors with all the add ons. I have rectified some of them to the best of my knowledge. The mystery "0" is still there though

  5. Looking good, thanks pdcelec.

    so we have newsdesk covered

    articles covered

links covered but with some error to be found.

I think that just leaves information pages.

Here is the information pages output. I would have posted earlier but I am having to convert everything to v2.3.1 first

  6. Yup looks good, the 0_1 looks a bit odd, wonder what the 0 is.

    Thanks for testing.

I am getting a couple of errors in links.php, which I will solve tomorrow. Could this be the mystery 0?

I have installed links manager also, but have not tested it yet. I will test thst one tomorrow

    Thanks for a great contrib.

    Should I be getting:

    http://www.electricalcity dot co.uk/newsdesk_reviews_write.php?newsdesk_id=1

  8. The page is loading correctly now and I am getting some correct URL's and some not

    Here are a selection below

    http://www.electricalcity dot co.uk/stickies-are-here-n-1.html

    http://www.electricalcity dot co.uk/images-n-3.html

    http://www.electricalcity dot co.uk/newsdesk_reviews_article.php?newsdesk_id=1

  9. The initial package complete with instructions is available for download by beta testers.

The url is the same as the old beta package but the package name is now: -

    Ultimate_Seo_Urls_5_PRO_packaged_r189.tar.gz

It would be good for this to be tested and commented on asap please if possible.

Also I note there there have been no beta test responses for the contributions supported at all .. these are: -

    • articles manager
    • newsdesk
    • links manager
    • information pages

Those have not been tested at all to my knowledge.

I am testing it with newsdesk at the moment. I have a problem with the new htaccess. The new version uses these type of rewrites

    RewriteRule ^(.*)-p-([0-9]+).html$ product_info.php?products_id=$2&%{QUERY_STRING}

    the older version used these

    RewriteRule ^([a-z0-9-/]+)-p-([0-9]+).html$ product_info.php [NC,L,QSA]

I cannot get the page to load with the new version.

Also, is there a rewrite for all_products?

  10. Packaging is going well .. albeit a long drawn out process to do it properly.

Currently I have instructions for and have tested each one:

    User options are: -

    • I am installing to a modified osCommerce RC2a or older ( no existing Ultimate Seo Urls present )
    • I am installing to a modified osCommerce RC3 ( no existing Ultimate Seo Urls present )
    • I am upgrading from Chemos original Ultimate Seo Urls version 2 ( including modifications by jackmcs to v22d_10 )
    • I am upgrading from Ultimate Seo Urls 5 by FWR Media

3 minute install to fresh osCommerce files. ( perfect for developers or those who want to quickly try out USU5 PRO )

    • I am testing/installing to a totally fresh, unchanged osCommerce

I don't think I have missed anything but let me know if I have.

    Hi

Just to be clear, when you say RC3 is that version 3 or version 2.3.1?

    Thanks

  11. okay now everythings really messed up. If anyones about who can help then please message me about fixing it. I did create a back up but wonderful cpanel didn't create one to restore a full back up!

You need to put the code into the correct places as per the instructions. I have checked yours and you have 2 meta descriptions, 3 Google tracking. You have a missing<?php around line 120. Notepad++ is a good software program to compare the files with

  12. line 177 should read

    $categories_content .= '<div class="link_column"><a href="' . tep_href_link( FILENAME_DEFAULT, 'cPath=' . $category['id'] . '_' . $subcategories['categories_id']) . '" class="category_link_sub">' . $subcategories['categories_name'] . '</a></div>';

(original has an extra" near category_link_sub">)

  13. HI

There is also a spelling error in admin, when installing the categories module

Control the appearance of the specials module on the front page. and Fload mode only)
