  1. I'm getting the following error despite the fact that the three .xml files are in the catalogue folder and are all chomodded to 777... did anyone find the fix for this? Oh yeah, it was also dropping the / infront of the .xml filenames (EG googlesitemapsitemapproducts.xml), but I managed to get it to insert that back on with some fiddling. Star_Products 1.5 Help

Hi Terry, Took a look at your site but couldn't see star product anywhere. Is this your problem or have you turned it off since posting the request for help? If you could show us what's going wrong, or maybe explain in a bit more detail it would make it easier for us all to help. Moving around featured item and star product is relatively simple. You "just" ;) need to edit index.php in your osCommerce catalogue folder which calls the different modules so that the spot that calls them is right for your layout. For example insert <?php include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_STAR_PRODUCT); ?> where you want star product and insert <?php include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); ?> where you want to have the "Featured Products for [MONTH]" cheers silentz

    [contribution] Star Product

OK... I *know* this should be super simple, but after an hour searching the forums / code I'm still trying to figure out how to adjust which corner image shows up in the corners of the star product box. I currently have it with the curved corner on the left and the square image on the right and I need it the other way around. So where does it define which corners the star product infobox will use? Thanks!
  4. Hi there! I noticed after installing the very excellent CCGVDC (gift vouchers) mod that when you send a gift voucher from the admin section and your oSc is set to use search engine friendly URL's that the gift voucher redeem link in the email they get doesn't work! Further poking around pointed to a comma in the URL after 'gv_no' that looks to me like it should be a forward slash (as it is in other URLs) in the following line of admin/gv_mail.php. $message .= HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . 'gv_redeem.php' . '/gv_no,'.$id1 . "\n\n"; changed to: $message .= HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . 'gv_redeem.php' . '/gv_no/'.$id1 . "\n\n"; Changing this over fixes the URL in the email, but being a bit of a n00b I wanted to check that this wasn't likely to cause problems with the SE friendly URL's before posting a "fixed" (?) file in the official contribution thread. So... does this look right to everyone else? Are commas necessary for SE friendly URLs? If all looks OK I'll go ahead and post the bug fix, otherwise feel free to let me know! Thanks!

Invision Power Board Intergration Into OSC

Agreed. This would be an awesome mod to have available. Just wish I knew enough to do it myself! :(

    paypal payments Australia

The standard Paypal payment module seems to work fine as far as I can see with AUD, just by selecting "Selected Currency" in the admin->payment modules->paypal options. I'm assuming that this is because we have our store's default currency set to $AUD. Either way, Paypal is registering the correct number of $ and says that it's AUD. Until AUD is integrated into the paypal module, this could be wortth giving a try if you're waiting.
  7. I'm looking at the instructions and it' says to set *Prevent* spider sessions to false (ergo spiders ARE getting sessions), but this seems a little bizzare from my limited understanding... Wouldn't this mean that all my URL's would show up in search results with a session and thus an osCid instead of assigning each visitor their own? I'm wondering if SEO sitemap strips them out itself or something...
  8. Hi there! I've installed SEO sitemap and it looks like it's working properly...except that I'm not seeing the engines drilling down any deeper than sitemap_products.html. When I look at the page with spider simulators all the links have an osCsid session on the end IE: http://www.raw-pleasure.com/pleasurecart/product_30.html?osCsid=85e4043eb212afe2280e552cec236144 Could this be affecting the spiders ability to follow the links?
  9. I'm wondering if I might be seeing the session ID's because I'm just using a spider simulator and because I'm not the spider itself... Would oSc's Prevent Spider Sessions block them for simulators as well, or are they just for a specific set of bots?
  10. OK... now they seem to be picking up sitemap_products and sitemap_categories but still not following the links in them (which show up fine when I look at them with the .js redirect disabled). Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated!
  11. PS. I'd got Prevent Spider Sessions in oSc set to true already.
  12. Hi there, I've been looking through the various news contribs for one that: 1) Will put one full (not abbreviated) news item up as the front page (TEXT_MAIN) and then rotate it each time a visitor comes (so there's always something new to look at). 2) (Would be great, but isn't vital) one that alternates between news stories and products from the catalogue. Anyone know of a contrib that fits the bill? I spent a long time looking in the contrib section, but the descriptions and install notes on the ones I looked at didn't give me any idea of where and how they actually show the newsitems. Thanks!
  13. Given Paymates bizzare insistance of charging of fees to buyers (usually 3%), I came up with the idea of discounting the order total of customers using Paymate to compensate (as we're happy to cover the fees). what I need is a basically some code saying if payment method=paymate then multiply the order total by .97 before sending it to the payment gateway. Anyone have any ideas how to do this and in what file?
  14. We're looking at getting a 2co account for our Australian business, but there doesn't seem to be anyone who's managed to get it running smoothly for non US currencies. There's a post from someone who posted a rough workaround, but that doesn't seem to have been finished from what I can make out. SO if ANYONE has managed to get 2co to work with their non US$ based business, how did you do it? There's so many semi-related posts about this floating around that I'm sure any answers would massively benefit many people here! Thanks!
  15. Working now... Had something to do with CCGV in modules.php file. I just replaced my file with the install one (as I'm not using CCGV atm) and it works fine.
  16. OK... I've installed a good number of mods before so this isn't a complete n00b question, but I'm finding that when I install *either* the Moneybookers by Mag or Moneybookers V2.0 payment modules they work fine in admin (yes I've chosen install) but then they just don't come up as a payment option when checking out. What on earth could this be? Thanks!
  17. Hang on... just found the bit in the instructions about needing CURL to run Moneybookers by Mag. I have no idea how to find out if I have this installed or not, although it doesn't say anything about CURL on Moneybookers V2.0 which also isn;t working. *sigh* Any ideas? Thanks!
  18. OK... I've got SEO sitemap working but I need visitors to the site to go straight to the SEO sitemap index.html and it's currently squirreled away in the store subfolder. I want to avoid unnecessary extra clicks or redirects and so want to pull index.html into the root folder. Naturally when I do this all the links / includes / requires break but they also stay broken when I add the store folder (/pleasureshop) to the start of each path. Any ideas? Silent Z
  19. Where are you sticking the: part to get it working in newsletters.php? I'm trying to figure it out, but the file looks pretty different from your mail.php example (which worked great - thanks!) Silent Z
