  1. thanks for your answers :) I am not really sure if I will try to combine these two files - let me explain why I thought about doing this: I have themed the files to look the same, so the customer starts off on index.php with the filter section on the left hand side, when he clicks on a filter he will get redirected to products_filter.php - it all looks still the same but with the filter applied. So that is fine with me, but I think it is bad for SEO purposes because the same page contents are available on 2 different URL's, which is basically duplicate content. It would be cool if all the filters would work in the index.php - attaching the filters to the URL. I am not sure if this is worth doing, especially because my knowledge is kind of okay, but definitely not good enough to do code changes that you describe as "lots of work" :)
  2. I used the old version products_specifications_1_0_2.tar.gz and coded it into my osC 2.3.1 store 2-3 months ago - now I see that yoyu released a version for 2.3.1 Do you recommend me to upgrade/change all my work? What has changed? Is it possible to place the code from products_fiters.php into index.php so you don't have 2 seperate files (and links)? Best wishes, Dominik

    EasyPopulate Question

sure, you can do that by exporting only the product model + description in EP. you get a csv file. Then you open it in Excel and use the search/replace function to the first description row and apply that to all the other descriptions. then you re-upload and choose "update only" in EP :)

Yeah it's really strange - if I set english as a default language instead of german - it will create english URLS containing /en/ in all sitemap files

thanks for the upload Robert, I replaced the index.php file but there's still the same data in sitemapCategories_english.xml as in sitemapCategories.xml >_<

Hey Robert, I upgraded to the newest version - everything is working fine, except the sitemaps. I have a store with german as the default language + english as the 2nd language. Sitemaps sitemapProducts_english.xml and so on get created correctly, but the URLs are the same as the default language (german) There is no /en/ in the URL and not the english version of the URL as well. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for that tip - you were right of course. Sometimes I'm thinking "Why did I not get that idea? It's quite obvious" :)

Okay that's fine of course - I will have to download a file merge&compare software then. I have a new question :) I was successfully generating the XML sitemap on localhost using xampp, now I'm online, browsing to that index.php - it does load for a small amount of time, then blanks (white). I guess this is normal behavior, but there is no sitemap created in the the root of my domain. What could be the issue here?

yeah, thanks for that :) would you please list the changes once you've upload the new version? Because I have made some small modifications to USU5 Pro and Kss MT and I don't want to overwrite them ;p

I have a small issue with the sitemap (bonus) I have an extra column in my categories table, setting the category status (1 = active, 0 = inactive). The categories sitemap lists my inactive categories as well. I changed the categoriesFullScan function: $sql = "SELECT categories_id, parent_id, date_added, last_modified FROM " . TABLE_CATEGORIES . " WHERE categories_status = '1' GROUP BY categories_id ORDER BY date_added ASC, last_modified ASC"; Now I get this error message while executing the index.php file 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND cd.language_id = 2' at line 1 SELECT cd2.categories_name AS pName, cd.categories_name AS cName FROM categories c LEFT JOIN categories_description cd2 ON c.parent_id = cd2.categories_id AND c.parent_id = cd2.categories_id AND cd2.language_id = 2, categories_description cd WHERE c.categories_id = cd.categories_id AND c.categories_id = AND cd.language_id = 2 [TEP STOP] Do you have any idea what's going on here?

okay, I understand :) How about the redirection to index.php when I switch the language. Is it likely to get fixed in a way so there will be no redirect? (customer stays on the same page after language change)
