  2. Hi, I'm running through a weird weird problem between osCommerce, PayPal IPN and the PayPal website, and I suspect it might have something to do with not having encrypted web payments enabled. When I confirm an order, it redirects to PayPal with no price order details, just the normal login (url: https://www.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/webscr). Funny thing is that if I hit BACK on the browser, and click on Confirm Order again, it redirects to PayPal, but this time with price order details (url: https://www.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_login-submit&dispatch=5885d80a13c0db1f059ee17e99acf19529de9a5cb8b345b6e847e9b5572143b9). I ran Charles Web Debugging Proxy, and detected a few errors when making calls to PayPal regarding SSL proxing not being enabled. Does anyone have any ideas why I'm getting this inconsistent behavior? Do you think I need to get a private key, public certificate, PayPal public certificate, etc? Thanks for your help everyone. Seb.

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

Hi, I recently installed an IPN module and I'm having a weird problem. Logged in with my PayPal Sandbox account, I check-out a product in my store, but it redirects to PayPal's login screen with NO ORDER DETAILS. (e.g. https://www.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/webscr <- no extra GET parameters If I then hit "back" and check-out again, once again it redirects to PayPal's login screen, but this time with ORDER DETAILS. (e.g. https://www.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/webscr <- with session parameters) Everything else here after works fine. Anyone knows what's going on behind the scene? I've been on this problem for days! I'll be happy to test anything, THANKS! Seb.

Store checks out to PayPal WITH NO ORDER DETAILS

I had a look, and I think you're referring to the Auto-Return URL. What I pasted above was the IPN Notification URL. If I've installed the PayPal IPN 2.3.4.7 module, is there any point in manually setting the IPN Notification URL + Auto-Return URL ? I read that this is handled automatically by the module. I'm STILL having the same problem, the store is going to https://www.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/webscr with no parameters. Anyone?!

Thanks for picking that up Steve, I'll amend that today and try again. Do yo think that might have something to do with this particular problem?

  7. is having a crash course in osCommerce with PayPal integration...

  8. Hi, I recently installed an IPN module and I'm having a weird problem. Logged in with my PayPal Sandbox account, I check-out a product in my store, but it redirects to PayPal's login screen with NO ORDER DETAILS. If I then hit "back" and check-out again, once again it redirects to PayPal's login screen, but this time WITH ORDER DETAILS. Everything else here after works fine. FYI, I currenly have PayPal IPN enabled with the notification URL set to http://www.janecurrypublishing.com.au/catalog/ext/modules/payment/paypal_ipn/ipn.php Anyone knows what's going on behind the scene? I'll be happy to test anything, THANKS! Seb.
  9. Forgot to ask, once I follow the installation instructions, do I need to disable my current PayPal Standard method, or remove the module completely? I don't want anything to interfere with the IPN module. Cheers, Sebastian.
  10. Totally agree. I'm used to neat and simple documentation, and this one (osCommerce 2.2 MS2 PayPal IPN Payment Module v2.3.4.7) is all over the place. So after I install the 20090206 version, is it ready to go or do I need to install anything else? Thanks, Sebastian.
  11. That's what I thought initially, so I actually made an attempt of installing PayPal IPN, but started getting some php errors in the osCommerce Admin > Modules > Order Total. I've followed the osCommerce Contribution article, but I found it a bit unstructured. Is there a better link or this is it? Also, once I install the PayPal IPN module, am I meant to turn off the Standard one, remove it? Any other things to keep in mind? Thanks for your help web-project.
  12. Hi, I'm using PayPal Standard as the only payment module accepted. When you order a book and confirm all the way, it redirects to PayPal's normal login, with no variables on the url and no price (e.g. https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr). Funny enough, when I press BACK on my browser, I go back to the shopping cart, and when I press Confirm a second time, it now goes to the right PayPal login with variables on the url and the correct price (e.g. https://www.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_flow&SESSION=o8aq5v8dyumzEX2heo2XTEm4ubWpvvvquJyaVk5YrHhhiExGQ4gUJHgob-e&dispatch=50a222a57771920b6a3d7b606239e4d529b525e0b7e69bf0224adecfb0124e9b5efedb82468478c6e115945fd0658595dbb4bda98e0c5f8e). Does anyone knows what's going on?
