    Links Manager II

Hi Jack, Thanks for the great add-on and appreciate the forum support! I have this working now but encountered a minor issue regarding displaying £ (GBP) on the links page under the products http://top-oils.co.uk/links.php They display perfectly in the rest of the site so am assuming that the character needs to be entered or set somehow in the Links Manager but no idea where or how.... please advise.
  3. Thanks for the swift response and the very useful add-on - I have not added extras although intend to do so next and will leave debug on until after completed testing but as this is set to default on install, respectfully suggest that this is mentioned in the install file ;-) Thanks again :-D
  4. Hi, I have just installed this add on at a dev site for testing and included the relevant tag into shipping, privacy etc., but when viewing these pages a box named KissMT Dynamic SEO Meta Tags appears in the footer which should not be there ... http://affordable-website-design.me.uk/oscommerce/shipping.php and http://affordable-website-design.me.uk/oscommerce/hardware-c-1.html I am not sure how to remove this, please advise.

Thanks Jack - Just to let you and anyone else encountering this problem know that I found the following sorted it out .. I turned Ultimate SEO Urls 5 off, then on again and reset the cache and it's working fine :-D

ULTIMATE Seo Urls 5 - by FWR Media

Thanks for the prompt response, but those links do not contain underscores. The links are all displayed on one page, not in categories and yes I did try the fix to see if it made a difference ... and it didn't. I also tried changing the setting private $installed = false; to true ... that didn't seem to do anything either :-( What is so frustrating is that everything works perfectly together on the dev site which is located in a directory ... and the sites are pretty much exact barring the colour scheme and the production site being in the root instead of a directory folder. Any clue as to what might be going on here? I know if I turn of Ultimate SEO Urls 5, the Links Manager works ... but I need to either get this to work or find a way to exclude the Links Manager page from the url rewrite as it doesn't seem to work. Thanks

I have found the following combination to work in conjunction with Ultimate SEO Urls but I guess it depends on your server / site setup. Google XML Sitemap Feed http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/3233 Sitemap SEO http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6459 hope this helps someone!

ULTIMATE Seo Urls 5 - by FWR Media

I have a similar problem and a post to the Links Manager 11 forum states that it is an issue with ULTIMATE Seo Urls 5 and to ask here for a solution. After installing the Links Manager, and fiddling around with it for awhile it soon became apparent that using categories was not possible with Ultimate SEO 5 turned on, but switching off this option in Links Manager enabled the links to display, however, the link sent to the submitter when clicked results in an error page (page can not be found FWR Media). Nor is there a reference to &lPath in the script files - I have checked for this and all the references are to lPath. The author states that the link the user receives in the notification email is correct but obviously something is wrong as all I get is the error page. http://top-oils.co.uk/links.php?lPath=1'>http://top-oils.co.uk/links.php?lPath=1 but the links are displayed here: http://top-oils.co.uk/links.php The weird thing is that the dev site (which is a directory called oscommerce) worked after turning SEO URLS off then on again - the same did not work for the production site which is in the root :-( The server / site is using php5 which is why I plumped for Seo Urls 5 instead of an earlier version as this is what you recommended in the contribution message ... but now I'm wondering if it will ever work with the Links Manager. This is my first oscommerce install and I have tried without success to get this to work .... I am no coder and yet have managed to successfully install several other contributions without any issues but now I'm completely stumped and confused.... please can anyone help??? Thanks

    Links Manager II

I have installed Links Manager ll on a site and after having issues with the categories, managed to get it working using this thread, however, the emails sent to the submitter contain the wrong link i.e., http://top-oils.co.uk/links.php?lPath=1'>http://top-oils.co.uk/links.php?lPath=1 which leads to an error page instead of http://top-oils.co.uk/links.php I have the same script installed in a folder on a dev site and that works fine. I have tried to use the same fix but nothing seems to work. I have checked and compared the files, I do not have header tags mod installed, but do have Ultimate SEO 5 - reading their forum, including a link from this forum was just confusing and I am unable to find a way to fix this.... I am not a php coder and very new to osCommerce.. and despite having read all 40 pages of this one have several times, have just ended up with a headache :-( has anyone had the same issue that could post the fix please?
