    Header Tags SEO

Google has finally started indexing my pages and keywords. However, there are two things that I'm scratching my head over: 1) I submitted over 600 URL's but Google seems to have stopped at 100. Is there a limit as to how many URL's Google will index 2) Looking at the dashboard in Google Webmaster, I see all the search terms that are indexed. But, I've discovered that a majority of those terms are index under Google Images, not Google Search. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

That was it, thanks Jack for a great contribution! It was the default tag that was set. I guess I didn't really understand how the default tag worked but I understand it now. Thanks again!

    Header Tags SEO

I just noticed that the titles on my products have duplicate manufacturer names. How can I get rid of this? I have tried different settings in the admin tool but I can't seem to remove the duplicate name. The duplicate only shows up in the Title, not the Description nor the Keywords. <title>Men's Colognes - Ralph Lauren - Ralph Lauren - CHAPS COLOGNE 1 OZ.</title> I would like it to just be: <title>Men's Colognes - Ralph Lauren - CHAPS COLOGNE 1 OZ.</title>

    Adding product specific meta tags

I figured it out. By removing all descriptions and keywords in product_info.php through the Header Tags SEO menu in Admin, it only displays the product names now. Thanks!

    Adding product specific meta tags

I've tried doing this with the Header Tags SEO addon but I can't seem to figure it out. Can someone point me in the right direction to make this happen?
  6. I have read the instructions as well as these message boards but maybe I'm missing something. I would like to be able to create a description and keyword only for the product that is displayed. Currently, when you bring up a product page, the description and keywords has all the keywords from the index.php page as well the product name which is added at the end. How do I get rid of all keywords from product pages so that it only inserts information specific to that one product? Here's what it currently looks like: <meta name="Description" content="Discount perfume, discounts on leading brands of women's perfumes, men's colognes, and skin care products. - Women's Fragrance - Nina Ricci - Nina Ricci - L'AIR DU TEMPS EDT SPRAY 3.3 OZ." > <meta name="Keywords" content="Paul Sebastian,Calvin Klein,Davidoff,Dolche & Gabanna,Hugo Boss,Juicy Couture,Ralph Lauren,Armani,Burberry,Disney,Guess,Nina Ricci,Prada,Yves St. Laurent,Gucci,Aliz, perfume, cologne, colgne, , Women's Fragrance , Nina Ricci , Nina Ricci , L'AIR DU TEMPS EDT SPRAY 3.3 OZ." > I would like for it to look something like this: <meta name="Description" content="L'AIR DU TEMPS EDT SPRAY 3.3 OZ." > <meta name="Keywords" content="L'AIR DU TEMPS EDT SPRAY 3.3 OZ." > The site is www.fragranceandhandbagboutique.com Thanks!

Thanks Jack, WinMerge is a nifty tool to have around. Using this, I found my mistake. Everything is working now. Thanks for this great contribution.

    Header Tags SEO

    According to the Install_Admin guide, I need to make the following edit to admin\categories.php: Around line 311, find these lines in admin/categories.php $description_query = tep_db_query("select language_id, products_name, products_description, products_url from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " where products_id = '" . (int)$products_id . "'"); while ($description = tep_db_fetch_array($description_query)) { tep_db_query("insert into " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " (products_id, language_id, products_name, products_description, products_url, products_viewed) values ('" . (int)$dup_products_id . "', '" . (int)$description['language_id'] . "', '" . tep_db_input($description['products_name']) . "', '" . tep_db_input($description['products_description']) . "', '" . tep_db_input($description['products_url']) . "', '0')"); } Replace with the following /*** Begin Header Tags SEO ***/ $description_query = tep_db_query("select language_id, products_name, products_description, products_head_title_tag, products_head_desc_tag, products_head_keywords_tag, products_url from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " where products_id = '" . (int)$products_id . "'"); while ($description = tep_db_fetch_array($description_query)) { tep_db_query("insert into " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " (products_id, language_id, products_name, products_description, products_head_title_tag, products_head_desc_tag, products_head_keywords_tag, products_url, products_viewed) values ('" . (int)$dup_products_id . "', '" . (int)$description['language_id'] . "', '" . tep_db_input($description['products_name']) . "', '" . tep_db_input($description['products_description']) . "', '" . tep_db_input($description['products_head_title_tag']) . "', '" . tep_db_input($description['products_head_desc_tag']) . "', '" . tep_db_input($description['products_head_keywords_tag']) . "', '" . tep_db_input($description['products_url']) . "', '0')"); } /*** End Header Tags SEO ***/ When I make that edit, I get "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CASE in C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\catalog\admin\categories.php on line 329" when I try to launch Categories from the Admin page. If I remove the } right before /*** End Header Tags SEO ***/ , then everything works fine. Questions whether this is correct or if by removing the }, I'm missing out on something. Thanks.
