    Automated FedEx Labels

john, looks like someone has bid it out http://www.freelancer.com/projects/PHP-Javascript/Fedex-Automated-Label-for-oscommerce.html i would really like to get this before May 31st... cheers, jake
  2. yeah, our store got one of these notices from authorize.net april 21st. this could seriously impact our sales if it is not fixed in time, although i just don't know to what extent it would affect us. is there any development effort to bring this contrib into compliance with this recent change in authorize.net / credit card company policies? i would really appreciate some knowledge of which way the ship is headed here. thanks for all the code, vger.

    eCheck via Authorize.Net: fixed

i wanted to have eCheck services via Authorize.Net, but that contrib ( http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2195 ) had some parts that didn't work. i got sample code from Authorize.Net and have fixed this contrib, so you can use eCheck through Authorize.Net. i'll add the new file after a few more days of the contrib being active.

well, turning "Safe Mode" back on fixed this issue. the rewriting of the "Buy Now" buttons became munged once the "Continue Shopping" button is used from the shopping cart.

have had this running for a bit over a week now and, for the most part, it works great. the G-report shows over 4500 rewritten URLs, which makes me happy :). however, there is a nasty little problem with the "Continue Shopping" button after customers add products to their cart and want to return to the previous page. it correctly returns to the previous page but the URL rewriting screws up and links on the page it returns to are all "degenerate" and read the same thing, but every link will deposit one or two items that were not selected into the user's cart. i am starting to pick apart the PHP right and would really appreciate help on this from the contrib author as i do a lot of business through this site. please PM me if you have some time to assist with this. fyi, i'm very reasonable with compensation. cheers, jake

powerdrive, do confirm you've installed the contrib correctly. check your server log for errors anytime you get a blank page, it will usually point you to a location where you've made a PHP editing error. i had the same problem with the URL rewriting too: this was b/c the .htaccess files weren't being parsed for apache config settings until i changed the AllowOverride setting in the main apache config file. see my earlier post on why you should put the Rewrite directives into your apache config file if possible.

a few things i've noticed about this contrib - using the .htaccess with mod_rewrite directives in it is a bad idea b/c you need to AllowOverride All for that directory; you should configure mod_rewrite for the directory you need in your apache config and not do AllowOverride All since it's needlessly insecure; if you don't AllowOverride you'll probably have trouble with apache parsing the config settings in .htaccess but this might be openbsd specific - if you use the paypal IPN contrib, make sure to use the G-Exclude list, remembering to turn Safe Mode to false, explicitly excluding the file ipn.php; had to copy ipn.php from catalog/ext/modules/payment/paypal_ipn to catalog/ to get it selectable in the G-Exclude dropdown; you probably want to exclude the various checkout_*.php scripts as well

storing CC info in customer profiles: does contrib exist?

nick, thanks for your advice about the PCI compliance. am reading through the other thread.
  9. i would like to allow our customers to enter their CC data once and have it saved in their profile for ease of use later. it would be optimal if this info were stored without the CVV data and only shows the last 4 digits of the card, similar to CCs added to a paypal account. would really appreciate a pointer towards a contrib that does this since i can't find one that does the trick. clues appreciated. cheers, jake

just installed v1.20 and despite mod_rewrite being enabled i am not seeing any rewriting of the optimized .html URLs to their corresponding usual osC links. keep getting the 404 "file does not exist" error when clicking on product links, so it's clear the optimized URLs are being generated successfully but no rewriting is occurring. explicit example: osC link: https://mysite.com/catalog/product_info.php...;products_id=42 SEO-G link: https://mysite.com/catalog/crushed-incense-100-grams.html the latter should be rewritten as the former and this does show up in the SEO-G Reports, albeit with 0 hits. clues or advice appreciated. cheers, jake

    Automated FedEx Labels

fixed this by forcing shipData array to hold the values i wanted at line ~256 in admin/ship_fedex.php: // force shipData[4] = 'Shipping Department' and index 4003 as well $shipData[4] = 'Shipping Department'; $shipData[4003] = 'Shipping Department'; hacking on PHP is fun =). cheers, jake

    Automated FedEx Labels

--need labels to not list our store name-- this contrib is great. we do tons of business with fedex and it saves a lot of time. lately a number of customers have requested that we ship our packages without our company name on the label. i've tried to do some quick hacking in admin/ship_fedex.php by replacing the STORE_NAME variable with our desired shipping company 'Shipping Department'. we have cleared this name with our fedex billing contact but it throws an error when we try this. here is the code: starts at line ~51 // get sender's fedex info from configuration table // (requires installation & configuration of FedEx RealTime Quotes) $fedex_vars = array ( 10=>'MODULE_SHIPPING_FEDEX1_ACCOUNT', // 0 498=>'MODULE_SHIPPING_FEDEX1_METER', // 1 75=>'MODULE_SHIPPING_FEDEX1_WEIGHT', // 2 4=>'STORE_NAME', // 3 5=>'MODULE_SHIPPING_FEDEX1_ADDRESS_1',// 4 6=>'MODULE_SHIPPING_FEDEX1_ADDRESS_2',// 5 7=>'MODULE_SHIPPING_FEDEX1_CITY', // 6 8=>'MODULE_SHIPPING_FEDEX1_STATE', // 7 9=>'MODULE_SHIPPING_FEDEX1_POSTAL', // 8 183=>'MODULE_SHIPPING_FEDEX1_PHONE', // 9 68=>'DEFAULT_CURRENCY', // 10 ); advice about how to go about doing this would be much appreciated. have searched the site but not found anything illuminating... the search function on here seems mentally challenged. cheers, jake

    PayPal IPN?

having a bit of trouble with the paypal IPN contrib when the customer comes back to the store after paying via paypal: they get a blank page (i.e. php error). customers can and have been able to pay via paypal just fine for several months but when they click on the link at paypal.com after the transaction is done, it links to e.g. NOTE: this is broken into several lines for readability https://speciosa.com/catalog/checkout_proce...ross=19.13& mc_currency=USD&business=OUR_PAYPAL_EMAIL&payment_type=instant&payer_status=unverified&verify_sign=ANTx-ojsa5sbcUNrors24tfEWogGA6WzC1CeCHKm7fqqmf4Wicom-YUI&payer_email=PAYPAL_EMAIL&tax=0.00& txn_id=0UV41507SS298345U&quantity=1&receiver_email=OUR_PAYPAL_EMAIL&first_name=FIRST_NAME&invoice=5399&payer_id=25CKPWF4LAYVS&receiver_id=AUUDEURA553AU&item_number=& payer_business_name=MY_BUSINESS_NAME&payment_status=Completed&payment_fee=0.85&mc_fee=0.85&shipping=0.00&mc_gross=19.13&custom=108&charset=windows-1252&notify_version=2.4& merchant_return_link=Complete+your+Order+Confirmation following this link does correctly update the order status to "Pending" on our site, however the customer gets a blank page and no "your order has been placed" notice. i have looked at the error logs for the PHP and it's some problem with a multiple include or multiple declaration of the class order_total [Thu Aug 2 10:29:44 2007] [error] PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class order_total in /htdocs/speciosa.com/catalog/includes/classes/order_total.php on line 13 i am not familiar with digging out errors from includes/redefinitions, so if anybody has already encountered this problem and fixed it, please cluestick me :). cheers, jake

sure thing, rianne. in catalog/includes/modules/order_total/ot_coupon.php there is a line commented out in the collect_posts function that sets the cc_id variable in the $_SESSION superglobal array. uncomment it as below (near end of function): $cc_id = $coupon_result['coupon_id']; //Fred ADDED, set the global and session variable $_SESSION['cc_id'] = $coupon_result['coupon_id']; //Fred commented out, do not use $_SESSION[] due to backward comp. Reference the global var instead. the first line should work when register_globals is on, but the second skirts that issue. additionally you need uncomment another similar line just below in the calculate_credit function (right at begging of function): $cc_id = $_SESSION['cc_id']; //Fred commented out, do not use $_SESSION[] due to backward comp. Reference the global var instead. $od_amount = 0; this now picks up the cc_id variable and allows calculate_credit to work correctly. cheers, jake

well, i tracked down the problem and fixed it. it ended up that the cc_id global variable wasn't being passed properly to the ot_coupon.php apply_credit function. storing cc_id in a $_SESSION superglobal fixed the issue. perhaps this is because i have the "register globals off" contrib applied... cheers, jake

greetings former exploratory spacecraft! your contrib has been working great for me for a while, thanks so much for your work. during our last sale a week ago i ran into a problem that i hadn't seen before: entering the coupon code on the checkout_payment.php page and clicking "Redeem" doesn't add the coupon discount on the following page, checkout_confirmation.php, but if you reload the confirmation page, browse back then forward to it again, etc, it correctly applies the coupon. i have been picking through the PHP for this contrib for several hours trying to figure out what is going amiss here and would greatly appreciate it if you could point me towards a possible cause. based on a reload applying the coupon correctly, i'm guessing some superglobal or session variable is not being set correctly and pointing me towards the relevant code is sufficient for me to figure this out. it is likely related to my having so many contribs installed on my store that i can't easily list them... regards, jake

    Payment method fee 2.1

fixed the problem. in includes/modules/order_total/ot_fixed_payment_charge.php note that $od_amount is only set equal to $od_am when the extra charge is set as taxable under the admin menu. moving the $od_amount = $od_am line down so that it happens for taxable and non-taxable charges fixes the problem.

    Payment method fee 2.1

having some trouble getting this contrib to work in conjunction with CCGV. have made the mods as described in install.txt and catalog/checkout_confirmation.php loads up without the COD charge that i've set in the admin area. the contrib shows up fine under Modules > Order Total > Fixed Payment Type Charge. fee payment type is set to cod:8.5:0 so that only COD orders get charged and it's a flat rate of 8.50 USD (what fedex charges us). however, this is not appearing on the checkout_confirmation page. after choosing "Cash on Delivery" the following shows up on the checkout_confirmation page: Sub-Total: $60.00 Free Shipping: (Free Shipping (2-4 Days)): $0.00 state sales tax: $3.75 Total: $63.75 i have added so many contribs to this store that it would be hard to list them all. i have made the edits exactly as suggested and believe that this charge is getting washed out by some component of CCGV. clues appreciated.

    USPS Click-N-Ship Stopped working?

i use this contrib to save time when using USPS shipping and it saves a LOT of time. has anybody got a hack to work around this?
  20. this instance of osC is heavily patched with contribs. if i were to use the original index.php, it would muck up my current live store. the join commands you list remind me that i did have to fiddle a fair amount to fix the mysql syntax for the SPPC edits since the way join commands are evaluated had changed. i have read another thread where you have commented on this issue. i'll take a closer look at these edits and see if i can straighten these issues out. is there a way to automate the application of the myriad file edits for contribs that will work on *nix? if not, let me know since i'm considering writing some C code to do this in the near future, as i find the manual editing to be very error-prone. thx for your suggestions
  21. i'm having a bit of trouble with the hide products from customer groups contrib. when i modify index.php as suggested in the instructions for version 2.01 of this contrib, i get mysql syntax errors when attempting to view product categories, e.g. view /catalog/index.php?cPath=21: 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'and find_in_set('0', products_hide_from_groups) = 0 and find_in_set('0', c.cate' at line 1 select count(p.products_id) as total and find_in_set('0', products_hide_from_groups) = 0 and find_in_set('0', c.categories_hide_from_groups) = 0 [TEP STOP] AFAICT, this comes from the concatenated mysql statements that the contrib adds in lines 205-250 of index.php: // BOF SPPC Hide products and categories from groups $listing_sql .= " and find_in_set('".$customer_group_id."', products_hide_from_groups) = 0 "; $listing_sql .= " and find_in_set('" . $customer_group_id . "', c.categories_hide_from_groups) = 0 "; // EOF SPPC Hide products and categories from groups i will try re-editing index.php as suggested in the contrib instructions even though i couldn't find any errors in my first editing attempt. the apache logs didn't show any PHP errors, so any further insights as to the problem would be appreciated. the admin interface does appear to be working. btw, i'm running mysql-5.0.21.

    eCheck via Authorize.Net: fixed

    cactustactical, i had problems with the curl code in the authorizenet2.php file. more specifically, i had to comment out the original code and add in code that i got from developer.authorize.net: $curl_opts = ""; while (list($key, $value) = each($gw_vars)) { $curl_opts .= $key . "=" . urlencode( $value ) . "&"; } $ch = curl_init("https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, 0); // set to 0 to eliminate header info from response curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); // Returns response data instead of TRUE(1) curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, rtrim( $curl_opts, "& " )); // use HTTP POST to send form data ### curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, FALSE); // uncomment this line if you get no gateway response. ### $resp = curl_exec($ch); //execute post and get results curl_close ($ch); $result = explode("|", $resp); $x_response_code = $result[0]; $x_response_reason_text = $result[3]; /* $curl_opts = $this->process_action_url; while (list($key, $value) = each($gw_vars)) { $curl_opts .= " -d " . $key . "=" . urlencode($value); } $handle = popen("/usr/bin/curl " . $curl_opts, "r"); $str = ''; while (!feof($handle)) { $str .= fread($handle, 2048); } pclose($handle); $result = explode("|", urldecode($str)); $x_response_code = $result[1]; $x_response_reason_text = $result[4]; */ this may have more to do with me running osC on openbsd than anything else. cheers, jake

    [contribution] Simple Template System (sts)

this contrib is quite nice. i'm having trouble figuring out how to do some CSS work since i can't find where the chunks of HTML that are included for, say, $content, originate. i need to add class tields to the tables that appear in the $content HTML. thx for reading
  24. i'm currently using the Authorize.Net AIM module and it works great. i would now like to add an eCheck payment option since i've just gotten my eCheck account approved through Authorize.Net. when searching for contributions that allow this, i found at least three contribs that are supposed to do this: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...l/search,echeck http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...l/search,echeck http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...l/search,echeck the second one seems like the best choice since it's got the most revisions, but this could be a bogus assumption. could anyone who is using a contrib for eCheck payment tell me about their experiences with any of these contribs? thx for reading
