    Those changes are admin side, so will work with any version of osCommerce.
    At least try it.

    Psytanium reacted to MrPhil in PHP and MySQL upgrade for 2.3.4
    1. Jumping code from PHP 5.4 to PHP 7.2 compatibility is a huge task. Even the bleeding edge Frozen and Edge work has barely started on it. They're both currently up to PHP 7.1, if you can roll back to that. If you want to do it yourself, I suggest you read https://www.php.net/manual/en/migration70.deprecated.php and for 71 and 72 as well. You might even have to take a look at 56, 55, and 54 migrations.
    2. Not really. The official 2.3.4.1 is merely 2.3.4 with the PHP 7 deprecated warnings turned off. Don't use it.
    3. No. The "upgrade" hits only a couple or so files, and is easy enough to do in-place. Just compare 2.3.4 and 2.3.4.1 files and you'll see. At best, turning off PHP 7 deprecated warnings will buy you a little time for a more permanent fix -- there's no telling what's not working right behind the curtain.
    One thing I hope you'll learn from all this is to keep your store on the current code base! This means carefully logging every single change you make to the files, what add-ons you installed, and very importantly, why you made a group of changes. There's no point in trying to replicate a bunch of code changes, only to realize half way through that Bootstrap responsive is already built in to the product! Whenever the pain of maintaining your current store's code base becomes too much, it's then easy to migrate to the latest and greatest, replicating all your new features without too much strain.

    Psytanium reacted to MrPhil in How can I sort by price when some items have Tax added
    Is there any time you would not need the without-tax price? You could just price it "with tax" and be done with it, I suppose. Or, add a new database column for "with tax" price, and use that always or on a selector of some sort (modified query)? Are tax rates going to vary by customer?

    I don't have time to play around with this at the moment but that should be possible.  If you're having trouble with the query have a look at the product query used to handle 'specials'. That  should give you a place to start.

    I changed the Subject from "Order Process" to "Company Name Order Process" in addition to adding -treturn_email as a parameter.
    This is how it worked, now Gmail accept order emails.

    Please try this. In the googlesitemap/index.php file, change this line
    if (defined('SEO_URLS') && SEO_URLS == 'true' || defined('SEO_ENABLED') && SEO_ENABLED == 'true' ) { to
    if (false) {

    I think I'm using a real hacked up version of this on a responsive version of osC.  I use a double opted in subscription routine so I don't have this issue but you can probably add some thing like Jack's new HoneyPot Captcha add-on to prevent bots from subscribing.   I think you'll find his code to be fairly easy to add to most forms.  If you are interested in taking a look you'll find it here.

    It is telling you that sometimes, for unknown reason...
    $text_array is not an array.  A foreach therefore...cannot work.
    Try this;
    foreach ( (array)$text_array as $key => $text ) { Which forces $text_array as an array.

    @Psytanium  If this is your live site, you really shouldn't output errors to the screen.  Send them to a file that you can check.

    That will work in most cases. It may fail if you have a GET parameter that is being changed, so that you end up with both the old and new values. I would spend some time testing this before using it in a live store.

    No, that isn't necessary. Once the search engines are aware of the maps they will look at them automatically. Just be sure you have added them to your google and Bing webmaster accounts. But if you want to click on the links, it won't hurt anything.

    Hello @@Psytanium,

    SOrry this is not yet possible from the admin page.
    However you could filter (search) by product ids/ranges in the database table and then delete multiple items.

    The sitemapindex.xml list all of the other sitemaps so that is what is recommended to be turned into google and the other search engines.

    Also, you should point to it in your robots.txt file as well.

    For http protocol:
    sitemap: http://your-domain-name.com/sitemapindex.xml

    For https protocol:
    sitemap: https://your-domain-name.com/sitemapindex.xml

    Take care

    @@Psytanium William is correct about the sitemapindex.xml being the only one you need to add. However, if there are errors, they are not easily found just with it. For that reason, I suggest adding all of the ones you want to use. If errors occur, they will show in those files. Also, google will show how many of the links are listed. This isn't anything you use but it is nice to see that they are working on the site.

    Something in your account is preventing the index.php from loading. Rename it to something else and then use the url with that new name.

    I know this has been said before, but can we please get rid of the ancient demo products? They may have been fresh and relevant 15 years ago, but now they just make osCommerce look old and tired.

    The community has donated a nice selection of new products that are available to use. If you don't want to use those, please find some modern products that you like and use those instead.

    The online update feature during the beta releases will overwrite any file that is changed between beta releases. This will change to only updating (overwriting) files belonging to the OSC\OM framework once the production ready release is finalized. Once that stage is reached, any updates we need to make to other files (eg, template files) will be documented and will need to be applied manually.

    A OSC\Custom namespace exists where core files can be copied to and edited (eg, OSC\Custom\OM\OSCOM, OSC\Custom\OM\Db, ..) - the online update feature will not touch these files so the changes must then be applied manually.

    Hello,

    I have the addon Wish List revision 4 for osCommerce 2.3 installed on my osc2.3.4
    But when I click the Add to wishlist button in my product_info page, it redirect me the wishlist page without adding the product to the list.

    Any idea what could it be ?

    Thank you

    My suggestion would be to make an official V 2.3.5 , where the only major change from 2.3.4 is that jquey ui is replaced by Bootstrap 3 to make it mobile responsive.

    This would give oscommerce responsive design in the current official stable version right now and then the development of the new 2.4 could proceed at its own pace.

    Hello @@Psytanium,

    Just replace your complete tep_redirect function, but keep this part of your original function:
        if ( (ENABLE_SSL == true) && (getenv('HTTPS') == 'on') ) { // We are loading an SSL page       if (substr($url, 0, strlen(HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG)) == HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG) { // NONSSL url         $url = HTTPS_SERVER . DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG . substr($url, strlen(HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG)); // Change it to SSL       }     } This has been updated I believe in 2.3.4 and is not updated in the SEO URL5 instructions.

    Its the same, has been updated in osc2.3.4, just use this for reference.

    Find:
    $prod_list_contents .= ' <div class="col-xs-6 text-right">' . tep_draw_button(IMAGE_BUTTON_BUY_NOW, 'cart', tep_href_link(basename($PHP_SELF), tep_get_all_get_params(array('action', 'sort', 'cPath')) . 'action=buy_now&products_id=' . $listing['products_id']), NULL, NULL, 'btn-success btn-sm') . '</div>'; Replace with:
    $prod_list_contents .= ' <div class="col-xs-6 text-right">' . tep_draw_button(IMAGE_BUTTON_BUY_NOW, 'cart', tep_href_link(basename($PHP_SELF), tep_get_all_get_params(array('action', 'sort', 'cPath', 'products_id')) .
