Thank you for the work around, I have since realized that my mom's account was not upgraded to a business account - which is what allows me to enter her business id email, and allows her to accept credit cards. I will await another ipn transaction to see if there are any changes, if not - I will do the edit above and get back to you. Thanks so much for all your assistance on this. I really like the look, feel, and flexibility of this module over the core teams.

Ok, makes sense - what of the paypal id? Any other ideas what might be wrong with the admin panel not being updated in either the customers/paypal ipn section or the status changing once the webshop has been notified back by paypal that the payment was processed? I don't think I'm getting a notification back from paypal at all.

I've been using firefox since beta - the edit button disappears after a certain time period. The admin have set this, as I run an ipb board and we have turned that feature off. pain to not be able to edit posts after say 20 minutes or whatever. For the paypal thing, I got another email and it's the same: Business ID: PayPal Transaction ID: 6NY5342765657210M I will check the status of my mom's account. I know that she accepts credit cards, but I'm not sure what kind of account she has exactly. Oh, and yes, she has been recieving paypal money for some time now via the ipn modules. //edit: Per paypal her account is Premier: this is from the start page after logging in. hmm, that edit button disappears too quick! I checked my mom's paypal account and she did not have any business information set up. I've added the basic info without upgrading her account. I am going to turn the debug emails back on, and I will report back here with the results of whether the Business id is populated now. Still stumped on that other id though...

Yep, it occurs in a previous transaction: Business ID: PayPal Transaction ID: 7HX0247515976262F *** Business ID: PayPal Transaction ID: 1SV47434PH7324049 *** I am not able to find anything before 12/4, as my webmail dumps deleted items at the beginning of the month. Also, the customers must be seeing some sort of error, it looks like they are trying over and over again. I get multiple debug emails for the same purchase just minutes apart.

From Greg: Thanks for the response, I'm just not sure what I'm looking for in the debug. Below is an example of a debug email (with x's replacing user info) - Also, in the admin panel under customers/paypal ipn - there is nothing listed. txn_type=send_money payment_date=04:37:25 Dec 02, 2004 PST last_name= Wxxxxxx payment_gross=20.75 mc_currency=USD payment_type=echeck address_street=36 Nxxxxxx Rxxx payer_status=verified verify_sign=Ak20Sj18QKfGDdCMWU7JqFT2.GTGA4xZMa-8PU7Dlf6RkKeZZDITWzyI payer_email=axxxxxx@juno.com txn_id=6NY5342765657210M address_status=unconfirmed first_name=Axxxxxx receiver_email=tykiediapers@sbcglobal.net payer_id=ZYCVSVQDP2W6Y receiver_id=ARZ92SNHKVAQQ address_city=Sxxxx Hxxxxx address_state=Mx payment_status=Completed mc_fee=0.90 payment_fee=0.90 mc_gross=20.75 address_zip=01982 notify_version=1.6 address_country=United States address_name=Axxxx Wxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------ PayPal Response ------------------------------------------------------ VERIFIED ------------------------------------------------------ Connection Type ------------------------------------------------------ curl: 1 transport: domain: www.paypal.com port: ------------------------------------------------------ Email and Business ID config ------------------------------------------------------ Store Configuration Settings Primary PayPal Email Address: tykiediapers@sbcglobal.net Business ID: tykiediapers@sbcglobal.net ------------------------------------------------------ PayPal Configuration Settings Primary PayPal Email Address: tykiediapers@sbcglobal.net Business ID: PayPal Transaction ID: 6NY5342765657210M ------------------------------------------------------

ugh, I am not able to edit my post - I wanted to add that I tried changing the ipn url in the paypal account, from catalog/ipn.php to sethman's suggestion - no changes. Still doesn't work. I can provide a debug email from osC if needed. I am also getting multiple debug emails for the same transaction.

rgloverd - I get the same errors. Haven't figured out a solution yet so I'm watching this thread.

Greg, I kept reading your previous post and it finally struck me that the paypal ipn table auto increment had started over at 1. I set it to 77 according to the orders table, but I'm unsure if that was the correct table to check/high enough number. Is there another table I can look at to see what number I need to set the paypal ipns to begin? I want to make sure I get it right. :) This is the only thing remaining from what you mentioned that could be causing the issue of customers not being able to 'pay' with paypal. (logs them out when they hit the 'pay' buttoon) again, thank you for such a wonderful contrib and ongoing support!

Nevermind. Lol I just found out that the customers had paid directly with paypal and not via the webstore. That's why there are no orders. Communication is everything, eh?

I've just finished an upgrade to 2.6a and now my admin/customers/orders screen is not updating. Has anyone come across this? Is there an easy fix?

edard, I had errors similar to yours. What I ended up doing was getting a fresh copy of the affected file from a new OSc download, and then follow the install procedures for the IPN contrib again - double checking that everything was done to the letter. I found that I hadn't completely deleted the paypal directory and my affected file was also corrupt. I'm not real familiar with the functions of php, but my guess is that this directory doesn't exist on your side? DIR_FS_CATALOG_LANGUAGES

Ugh, I can't edit my post above. I had a closer look at my ipn.php as I recalled changing the filename of it previously. Sure enough, I was still using a 2.3 version of the ipn file along with my mom's paypal account pointing to the older version. I am hoping that switching it to the 2.4 version did the trick. Any input on the issue is welcomed as I'm interested in knowing if this is the cause or whether it could possibly be a paypal or end user issue/error. Thanks! //edit: ah we must have been posting about the same time. Lol thank you so much for the feedback! I will try the upgrade in a week or so, she is stocking on Saturday and I'm afraid that I might mess things up again - so I don't want to create an 'emergency' so to speak. :) Again, I appreciate your support!

Yes, I am using 2.4 I believe. You had helped me with installing it previously and did a wonderful job! I cannot seem to replicate the issue that the customers are experiencing more than one time. My sister had the same issue when running a test, but only had the issue once. What happens is, when they are at the paypal site, it requests them to login. Then they are redirected to a Paypal page that asks to submit payment. When the submit button is pressed, the customer is redirected to a page that says they must be logged in. The order shows up as 'pending' in the OsC admin panel, but payment via paypal is never recieved. My mom ends up sending a direct bill through her Paypal account and has the user to check out using the money order option. (updates her inventory that way) Could this possibly be an IE Temp file issue or browser issue on the end user's side? Or possibly a Paypal webpage error? As it seems the issue occurs on the Paypal domain.

yep, only our customers are telling us that the paypal page logs them out and they can't check out at all. Then in the admin panel it shows the payment as pending...
