this is almost always a sort order problem, as at times the OSC modules do not like to have the same sort order as others. Be sure it does not have the same sort order as anything else. And also be sure it comes before the total, or else it cannot work.

newest version works fine on php 4.3.8 also I can't access the URL you PMed me. I'd love to help, but again, I can't possibly help when I'm metaphorically blind.

is it possible you could PM me a URL? also, what version of the contrib. are you running? Make sure you are on the newest version.

1st what version are you running (are you on the latest version)? and 2nd it is not "finicky" and there is nothing magical about getting it to work. If you understand how it works and set it up correctly, it is very simple. I have always been able to correctly set it up in a matter of minutes for people who can't seem to figure it out.
  7. I didn't really read or look at that other contribution, but sure. It is now in version 1.101 (uploaded and ready for download). works like this: If you set the LAST country to "All Remaining Countries" (1st choice in list), it will use the region 1 tables for shipping to any remaining countries. You must leave the region 1 regions for that last country blank for this to work as well.
  8. what are you using to unzip it?
  9. Hi, in case you are wondering in the new version just change countries to 2 and regions to 5 (the last 2 for the USA just leave blank and they will be ignored).
  10. And they were. So there's nothing to be changed in catalog/includes/modules/shipping/mrmt.php? Just in the language file? Also, in order to add more regions, I just need to change the number of regions for 3 to whatever I want and then add the defines in the language files? Tks for your help. :) No there is nothing to change in the `catalog/includes/modules/shipping/mrmt.php` file. The only reason you should ever have to edit that file is to change the number of regions or tables (or now countries), which are defined at the top. I just tested with a 3rd table in region 2 and with the defines in the language file, it worked fine and I got no errors. You may want to try the version I just put out.
  11. Version 1.100 is now released and supports multiple countries http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2374
  12. I have just expanded it to dynamically allow multiple countries like it does for regions and tables. Give me a minute to finish packaging it up and upload it. :)
  13. But then I get the error I looked into catalog/includes/modules/shipping/mrmt.php and that line is the same as the prior for region 1. What am I doing wrong? it is working fine for me. those defines should go in the module's language file.
  14. no, it says it is an example of how to get flat rate out of the table. you don't have to have it be flat rate... it was just an example.
  15. osCommerce by default adds 3 pounds weight to each order. You have to turn this off in configuration if you do not want to use it.

URLs and the configuration parameters are always helpful... otherwise I am just shooting in the dark, and I'm not doing that.
  17. the default install just shows an example. All tables can have multiple rates based on the method chosen for that region (price, count, or weight). FYI, reading the readme doc always helps ;)
  18. if you can access your database with phpMyAdmin (if unsure ask you host if you have phpMyAdmin), it is the `configuration` table in your database. You will have to edit the `configuration_value` field and change its type from varchar 255 characters to text and remove the length restriction.
  19. Ok I have uploaded a version that fixes the problem with selecting a country. As to the length of string you can input, this is restricted by the database, and you would have to go in and change the type of field that it is, as I believe the current type of field it is can only be 255 characters max.
  20. I'm working with the last version, 2.2. Yes but there are many variations on the 2.2 version. Are you running MS1, MS2, or something from the development CVS? If not sure, you can look in `includes/application_top.php` and towards the top will be a PROJECT_VERSION define that tells what exact version you are running.
  21. what version of osCommerce are you running?
  22. no it is not coded to do that
  23. from the osCommerce admin, if you goto Locations/Taxes -> Zones; there will be a list of zones with their code as well. For the US it is the 2 letter state abbreviation.

I think that means that PHP does not have sufficient permissions to open the file. Check the chmod value of includes/modules/dynamic_mopics.php. Try something like 755.

hello Jenn. See that weird thing in front of define in the error? There is some weird character in the file (probably hidden from text editors) causing PHP to choke it looks like. Try this: Place your cursor between the "d" and "e" of define in that line. Then hit the left arrow key once so that you know you are directly in front of the "d". Now hit backspace a few times. For good measure, it would probably be best to hit backspace until you take that line up the end of a previous line, and then hit enter to re-make the line endings. Hope that helps
