    Ebay auction manager for OSCOMMERCE

Hello I share your doubt - but the right place to put the question must be eBay - if they don't care OK - if they don't approve the way this contrib. grab data this contrib. has to be removed because it's a violation against eBay copyrights. Sincerely Cornelius

Hello updmike I have noticed this: When setting up at www.paypal.com/profile/instant payment notification preferences I get one order mail if I set Instant Payment Notification (IPN) On and Instant Payment Notification (IPN) URL: None If I set Instant Payment Notification (IPN) On and Instant Payment Notification (IPN) URL: myshop/ipn.php I get two mails. That's the only difference - all other facilities auto return included are working as they should in both cases. Sincerely Cornelius

    eBay Auction Sales Manager 1.0

Anthony It's OK to ask again - this is important - I have no idea where the $20 come from - I have never specified a shipping cost on my ebay auctions because I use a special system - the item in question looks like this on item level in SAP: http://www.cornelius-hansen.com/3279328550_before_list.jpg - $0 in shipping costs. Sincerely Cornelius

Anthony This is a huge surprise! There's no sign of any shipping costs on this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcIS...item=3279328520 ??? It look's like this in SAP: http://www.cornelius-hansen.com/3279328550.jpg - not even a mark in shipping - that's mean all is 0 like it say on the auction. I can't set it more to 0 than this. On product level before listning actual shipping costs is set to $0. I have never used eBay's shipping system because it can't handle the calculation of my shipping fees. Yes - I'm terrible sorry. All other e-mail functions (order e-mails) are working without problems Sincerely Cornelius

    eBay Auction Sales Manager 1.0

Hello Anthony No comment - I only use the osc shipping module. My eBay prefs is set to: (from eBay) Shipping and handling: See description above or contact the seller for more information Buyer pays for all shipping costs Will ship worldwide. I guess I don't have to do anything? I have turned the e-mail functions on - what could be wrong if this contr. not send e-mails or bcc e-mails ? Any other functions are working perfect except the automatic move from checked out to completed (but only when paid via paypal! - I guess this will be solved in the next version when a better integration with paypal is established. Sincerely Cornelius PS. Thanks for all your work - I guess no one can imagine how complicated this must be to maintain - Your efforts are really apriciated.

Anthony Sounds like a good solution to catch the costumer who has an account or want to register for one. Could solve another problem - if a costumer use auction_finder and browse around your site (without an account) - take a break and come back to the computer 30 minutes later has the osc session timed out and the cart is empty. If the costumer want their auction items back in the cart they have to enter via auction_finder again. Sincerely Cornelius

Hello Nopie Yes we do and it's not the costumers problem (at least they do no recognize it as their problem) and therefore it's our problem!!! The only thing you can do is to make your auction_finder page very simple and with only the buttons needed to check out. Some problems occurs if a costumer instead of entering the e-mail address and click continue goes directly to "catalog" from auction_finder. They look a little bit around in your shop (and have completely forgotten how they entered your site) find "check out" and click it and get the normal osc login - even if there isn't any items in their cart. The login will not accept their e-mail address (because they haven't registered yet), they even try to get a password using the "I forgot my password" on the osc login. Now the costumer is really confused - refuse to log in again via your mail (they believe they have tried that 1000 times -which they haven't). Only one thing to do - send them an ordinary ebay/paypal invoice directly from the item on ebay or one of your own old invoices. Check them out manually and forget all about it. Give the costumer a reason (or several) to use your check out. You can take a look on my own humble try here: http://www.cornelius-hansen.com/catalog/au...tion_house=ebay It's finish now. You can make all the changes you want in catalog/includes/languages/english/auction_finder - between the ' ' where the present text is you can enter text and html. There's a natural reason to avoid your auction check out if you want to pay via paypal. It's because it's so easy to pay via paypal directly - if the costumer use paypals auction finder they can even manage all their auction purchases as an account. Their address and shipping addresses are already there - all they need is to click a few buttons enter their password and their purchase is paid! I believe we must respect that if we not can give them an easier opportunity - they are our costumers and we want them to come back. If I read some of Anthony's replies right is he working on a way to match the direct paypal payments with your non checked out auctions. :) (If wee treat people as cattle they won't behave as cattle) :) Sincerely Cornelius

Anthony In order to finish my http://www.cornelius-hansen.com/catalog/auction_finder.php layout I would like the dropdown box removed because I only sell on ebay. Could you please advise how to change the code in auction_finder.php. Thanks in advance. Cornelius

Anthony From this forum page 20: This functionality seems to have despaired somewhere between ver. 1.2 and 1.5 - right? - or could it be something I've done wrong? Sincerely Cornelius

Greg I have a major problem after upgrading to 1.7 - the paypal process are working as it should but the orders are not generated in osc. It's indeed very strange to experience that all the test orders made in 1.7 are generated (with errors) after downgrading to 1.6, where everything is working as it should (also the osc part). Do you have any suggestions to what I might have done wrong? I have follow the instructions and changed catalog/ipn.php, catalog/includes/classes/paypal/cart.php, catalog/includes/classes/paypal/ipn.php. At paypal IPN is set to on and url to none. In my adm auto return is set to 1 and url behavior is set to 2. Sincerely Cornelius

Anthony Again - thanks for this contrib - it's working better and better after the improvements you have made. A few suggestions to next release: 1. After several experiments with auction_finder I can (humble) recommend it's totally clean of objects/buttons/links to click on. There should only be two buttons to click on and that's auction house and continue. All other objects are confusing and if clicked bringing the costumer away from the main check out - then they are confused because their won items not are in the cart. Afterwards (after a clean check out in auction finder) the costumer will experience all the shop options. I guess it will also help Auctionblox users to stay on ""good foot" (Danish expression) with eBay. I'm not completely finish with the design yet, but now mine looks now like this http://www.cornelius-hansen.com/catalog/auction_finder.php (by the way - where do you set the color in the main text ? - I guess it's in style sheet, but I can't figure out where). Now I have the highest rate of success auction_finder users. 2. Please make it possible to sort the items in not checked out after e-mail address - it will help in the cases where you have to check a costumer out manually. Sincerely Cornelius
