Lets say I have an item. I am just trying to figure out how to place individualized unique keywords on that item. That way I can target the search engines for certain high traffic results on certain individual items. Thanks, Don

Basically Here is my question When I place keywords in an individual item. Do I have to have the item name before each keyword to make sure it gets attached to the proper item? Don

    Header Tags SEO

Sorry for so many posts, It now works. But here is a question. If I want keywords for an item: Apple Laser Writer II IINT IISC IINT IIF keyword 1, keyword 2, keyword 3 I noticed when I did this that the item name and keyword appeared in each section. Is there a way so that we can get the keywords to show up without the item name as a precursor for each meta tag? Thanks, Don

As I look at this further, it appears I have answered my own question. It appears the item name has to go in front of every keyword. Is that correct? Don

    Header Tags SEO

Hello, This can be Jack or anyone to answer this question. Initially I posted a question on the main oscommerce forum that asked if there was a contribution to change the meta tags and SEO information on a item level basis. A few people answered and said this was the contribution. Now that I have this contribution working properly, I do not see where I can click on an individual item and change its information. I see you can get down to the catagory and sub catagory level. But I do not see in the tree the individual items listed. What am I doing wrong? For me this would do enough as is. But my marketing guy wants to control each and every item individually. i guess he could do this on prostores...a store he used to work with at some time in the past. Thanks Don

OK, Thanks. So there really is no tool for use on modifying the home page easily from an oscommerce contribution then. I had seen your contribution and thought it would work. I have been using Adobe Dreamweaver, but that is also butchering things and coming up with errors as I try to copy and paste the text code portion from dreamweaver into the index.php portion for text. I appreciate the help. Don

    TextMaster

Jack, I did not get any errors when I did an edit using TextMaster on the privacy.php file with the default virgin install. However I cannot modify the default index.php file without the errors. Any ideas on how to resolve this so I can use this cool tool. Don

Hello Jack, Thank you for your quick reply. I did get rid of the session errors. However I got new errors. So I have spent some time to go and play with this on one of my test sites. I created a fresh virgin install of oscommerce using the Simple Scripts program from my host provider. From there I added the contribution. On moidifying the index.php file on the virgin site I get the similar errors as on my live site. here are the errors I got from making a text change with the TextMaster Contribution. Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 17 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 17 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 17 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 17 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 24 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 24 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 24 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 24 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 25 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 25 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 25 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 25 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 25 Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 25 Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home6/coorshom/public_html/coorstest.com/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 25 I have downloaded the latest version of TinyMCE from the link you gave us in your text file. TextMaster

Hello, I downloaded and installed the TextMaster contribution today. It looks very promising. However, when I go to make a change on the home page text I get te following error when I try to go out to the site and view the changes I made to the index.php file. Fatal error: Call to a member function add_current_page() on a non-object in /home3/twotonel/public_html/includes/application_top.php on line 344 This is the code on line 344 of my application_top.php: $navigation->add_current_page(); I have looked over the files, but the error message relates to a file that I did not modify for this contribution. When I tried to update the testpage.php it said it completed, then when I tried to open the page on my site I got the following error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home3/twotonel/public_html/includes/languages/english/testpage.php on line 17 I don't need to have the testpage.php error fixed, but I included the message in case it somehow relates to the problem when I try to open my home page. Thanks in advance for any insight you are able to offer for this error message. Don

Thank you for your swift reply. The fill tags and page controls now work if run manually. However they are not showing up in my admin panel. I do have this code below installed in the admin/includes/languages/english.php at the bottom of the page before the ?>. /*** Begin Header Tags SEO ***/ // header_tags_seo text in includes/boxes/header_tags_seo.php define('BOX_HEADING_HEADER_TAGS_SEO', 'Header Tags SEO'); define('BOX_HEADER_TAGS_ADD_A_PAGE', 'Page Control'); define('BOX_HEADER_TAGS_FILL_TAGS', 'Fill Tags'); define('BOX_HEADER_TAGS_TEST', 'Test'); /*** End Header Tags SEO ***/ To my knowledge, this should put those fields on the admin panel. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help. Don
