  1. You've been snagged by a code change in oscommerce - listing_values[ has changed to listing[ As in: while ($listing_values = tep_db_fetch_array($listing)) { is now while ($listing = tep_db_fetch_array($listing)) { so therefore lines such as $listing_values['products_price'] = $customer_group_price become $listing['products_price'] = $customer_group_price hope this helps.
  2. I have it working on a couple of MS1 sites. You just ahve to look out for listing_values in the code. ie. $listing_values['products_id'] needs to be $listing['products_id'] Other than that, it works great.
  3. Thanks, Obewanz - I've been off on another project, and just getting back to this. I've been pondering a seperate table solution, and certainly at first glance, what you are saying makes sense. I'll have a look this weekend, and let you know what I come up with. Jeff
  4. Have a look at the data in the customers table, and verify that the info in customers_group_name and customers_group_id are correct.
  5. Updated this contribution to include using the Buy Now button for individual products, and a seperate file updating Ian Wilson's Product Listing in Columns contribution to MS1 and include Attributes and quantity. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1098
  6. You won't be able to have the button at the bottom of the page and also have a Buy Now button (and still pick up the attributes). That would set up a nested forms scenario that just wouldn't work. No problem though, having either one or the other. Just install the contrib as is, then replace your Buy Now code in product_listing.php as outlined in this thread: http://forums.oscommerce.com/viewtopic.php?t=38536 Make sure that you only have one or the other selected in the Product Listing options in Admin. I will be packaging it all up together as an update to the contribution, but I'm looking a couple of other enhancements, so it will be a couple of days....
  7. It seems I had a bit of leftover code from a modificatio I dis for someone else. If you use the entire listing, you will have to make a minor change: Replace the PRODUCT_LIST_NAME section. The code is correct in the install text. case 'PRODUCT_LIST_NAME': $lc_align = ''; $lc_valign = 'top'; if (isset($HTTP_GET_VARS['manufacturers_id'])) { $lc_text = '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_PRODUCT_INFO, 'manufacturers_id=' . $HTTP_GET_VARS['manufacturers_id'] . '&products_id=' . $listing['products_id']) . '">' . $listing['products_name'] . $cID . ' </a>'; } else { $lc_text = ' <a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_PRODUCT_INFO, ($cPath ? 'cPath=' . $cPath . '&' : '') . 'products_id=' . $listing['products_id']) . '">' . $listing['products_name'] . ' </a> '; } break;
  8. There are two lines in application_top.php that add the product to the cart. One is commented, the other isn't. Uncomment the one you want, depending on whether you want to increment the quantity of items in the cart, or overwrite the quantity in the cart.
  9. Adds a column to allow attributes to show in the product listing, as well as allow quantity entries from the listing as well. Currently, it's an all-or-nothing affair. Next version will include a toggle to use the Buy Now button for each item in the listing or the Add to Cart Button at the bottom of the listing.. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1098
  10. Based on a post and some code for product_info.php by MaxiDVD in another thread, I'm going to add 50 fields. It will probably be released in several stages, with added administrative and search functions in each stage. First, though, I'll just make the necessary changes to the core code and the database. What I see it being eventually: enable/disable fields in admin name fields in admin (multi language) enable/disable fields in product listing if enabled in the admin function add fields to general search enable/disable fields in advanced search choose order to display in product_info Any other suggestions?
  11. I'm partway through a contribution to add custom user fields to the products table, and need a bit of feedback before going any further. Any thoughts on how many fields to include? What I have now is adding 6 new generic fields to the products table. I looked at the possibility of a seperate table for the extra fields, kinda like attributes, or product_description so that I wouldn't be stuck with a fixed number. It would probably involve touching fewer core files, but I couldn't see an easy way to administrate those properly or perform searches on them easily. I'm also looking to customize the field descriptions and enable or disable the fields either through the admin panel or by checking the categories.php language file. Probably the latter for ver.1. Any thoughts would be appreciated, especially if you think I'm heading off in the wrong direction here.

    version 1.4 -- NewsDesk released!

    boy, I feel stupid - my fix is not a fix at all. The bracket is in the right place - I tested without uncommenting the offending code - of course it worked!! Doh :? Off to have another look.....

    version 1.4 -- NewsDesk released!

    Here's the fix: if (($categories['categories_image'] = 'NULL') or categories) { } else { $print_echo = "tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES) . $categories['categories_image'], $categories['categories_name'], SUBCATEGORY_IMAGE_WIDTH, SUBCATEGORY_IMAGE_HEIGHT)"; } a missing right bracket after (DIR_WS_IMAGES
  14. Quite a mouthful, but I think that nails it. That would give absolute control over all aspects of discounting. Of course then we would have to throw in the option of offfering percentage discounts as well as absolute prices.... :wink: Is this something you are actively working on, or is it in the far off future?
  15. Still thinking it through, but I'm looking at mixing product_id for sure, for this particular application, but I can see the usefulness of throwing attributes into the mix as well. Work in progress (still very ugly, I'm playing with stylesheets, backgrounds and various looks) at: www.villagecraftandcandle.com/catalog (This is also the MS1 site where I have QC 5.1 and ASC 5.1 running. I'll try and package up the changes I made and send it off to you...)
