  1. can iframes be used with STSv4? If yes, what naming syntax should be used for the content file it reads. Or can sts_users_code be modified. Or is it a matter of creating a page to be placed in the content folder of the template. any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance _Matt
  2. Can we use iframes with STS? If yes, what naming syntax should we use for the content file (or can we modify the sts_code file? Any input is appreciated. -Matt
  3. Im in the homestretch! thanks again for all of your instruction and info, btw. One last hurdle! I have a set page size and the content area is fixed and i would like to make the shopping_cart.php and the create_account.php pages to scroll when the height limit is hit. I have tried wrapping the tables on the shopping_cart.php with a div that allowed for overflow scrolling, but to no avail. I tried making a content page similar to product_info.php.html and using it from the content folder (as i can make the template for the content area only using this feature) Does this mean i have to create a module for STS to use a content template for shopping_cart.php.html? (and of course the other content output pages i need to have scroll) If yes, what are the variables i need to make such a module. After reading through the doc file in the contribution download, and finding it a bit vague on such a creation, i was hoping for more concise parameters so i can get this puppy launched. my highest regards for any assistance i can get on this FINAL :P issue _Matt
  4. The $ tag is everywhere it is supposed to be, as is the <?php DEFINE ('STS_CONTENT_END_CHAR', '$'); ?>, however the product_info page is still breaking the feature.
  5. Hello again! (and thanks again for the kick in the right direction although i have hit a few walls but bounced off them nicely and kept moving forward :) ) anyways.... new and seemingly small issue: upon adding the $loginofflogo command to an area on both my sts_template.hmtl and index.php_0.html, in which case the graphic and link switch work fine...and on all other pages. ALL EXCEPT when you go to a product page (product_info.php.html (content template page). Then the command syntax shows in place of the gif image/s and of course the linking doesn't work. But once you leave that page it works again. I immediately thought it was something that was missing from the sts_product_info.php page (modules/sts) or the product_info.php (modules/sts_inc)? a variable that wasn't captured from the base index templates? Well before I get ahead of myself, I will wait for your insight and hopeful fix for this. much appreciated! _Matt
  6. Ive cleaned up and got everything working pretty good. Now i can get back to design work :) . I had a quick question though. After looking through as many pages as i could and even trying to refine a search.. can we have custom template pages for account, account creation , contact, etc? if yes, is there a list of the palceholders need for said pages (or do we gather them from the oscommerce core pages and add them to the template layout in the appropriate areas) Thanks again for the link clarification earlier. thanks in advance for any info on this new question. _Matt
  7. Thanks for the quick response. Yeah i was wondering if that method was not supported in the newer version of STS (links) thats for the link. I wasn't overwriting the old sts or using it at all on the newer install, the only thing i copied from the older install was my template files (gfx and layout things). The sites are completely separate installs. So i guess the only thing remaining is making sure the STS tags are up to date in the template, which doesn't have too many STS tags in it atm, so that will work out well. once again thank you for the response and info. Will keep you posted. _Matt
  8. I have a problem with content breaking. I have 2 stores, 1 using OSc/MS2 an older version of STS (some "coder" has hacked many things to pieces for whatever reason) and the other installed clean with OSC/RC2 and STS 4.5.8. Anywho...i initially tested my STS template under the old cart, and got most things to format and appear correctly. (some text css and such were needing to be tweaked etc but nothing to major so far as I can tell). After I installed the clean RC2 and STS 4.5.8 on a separate dir and essentially copied over my template files to the includes/sts_templates/mytemplate, things got screwy. page formatting broke (yes i updated all links to files and css so that wasnt an issue). direct catagory links dont work anymore (custom catagory images linked using index.php_X_X.html format that was also used on the other site and worked) another issue was the content being displayed on the main index, and where that info is gather from (or what tag in what file tells it what to display) i have removed the /TEXT TO DISPLAY/ blah blah from the /includes/languages/english/index.php and now it shows "whats new" parsed output. i will track that down im sure. The MAJOR things that i dont get where they are broken is on the product_info.php.html content page that i created. It worked fine and is the same template file i used from the other site, as are the sts_template.html and the index.php_0.html. CSS for both are the same (well except for the paths of course, lol) The product info page on the ew site breaks the page and has the appearance of of the col_left and col_right flipping sides and a few other things being pushed around. Images used and the same as are the template files, so i can only assume there is a variable in one of the new STS scripts, that is affecting page output, but i cannot track it down. This is really holding me up. Yeah, i could just clean up what i can on the old site, but I want to use not only the updated OSC cart but also STS, along with other contributions that have a RC2+ req. For feature reasons and security reasons. Going cross-eyed looking at file comparisions. Any insight into possible content display breaking related to STS (or where i might look) I will do whatever is needed to get this fixed so i can get back to designing and also make my customer happy :) Thanks in advance for any info you can lend! _MATT
  9. Very interesting, both in the error and the heads up of the non standard function call .... this contribution led me to root out all kinds of evil (not evil of my doing of course) /SIGH the cleanup continues... as i remove the function calls in error, the boxes return but without their new corners showing...with the exception of the main index, so i will use that as a base as to why they other pages aren't utilizing this new contribution...what a mess, lol....some people. But my customer will appreciate it in the end, as the last person working on this blundered his way through it all, apparently. Thanks again. _M
  10. I was referring to modifications previous to easy graphical borders contribution install... not post install... nothing else outside of the 3 areas indicated in the install.txt were modified during or after the upload. regardless...you are right, this may be a trash entry that has no business being where it is and not related to the contribution (unfortunately i inherited this cart from the customer to refit, so i will task it as part of the trash left behind and still needing to be rooted out) and a convenient matter of timing coinciding with the install of this contribution. thanks for the info, reagardless _M
  11. This happened right after the install of the Easy Graphical Borders version. no other modifications were made to the site after or during this installation. install instructions followed to the letter. this contribution caused this error. I would like to keep the contribution, but cannot find the reason for this break. but, if nothing comes of a solution, backups can be restored and i can find another solution. This seemed to be a good solution
  12. Slap! wrong area!! move on nothing to see here ! lol
  13. First off, great contribution...excellent install instructions (may have missed one thing, hence the post,lol)...will save me a load of time hunting down and replacing things to shape basic functions and visuals. one problem cropped up after following instructions: Fatal error: Call to undefined function tep_draw_heading_top() that appears replacing the boxes for main index box, new products, specials, account, and contacts....essentially all boxes.... on a side note (no pun intended) the left column stuff is all round cornered, but nothing else (main boxes) is. thanks in advance for any info you can lend on this. _M
