    Does This Contribution Exist?

Hi, I have tried searching but haven't quite found what i'm looking for. I'm hoping to find a contribution that lets me create different administrator levels for managing the admin area. I would like to give selected read and/or edit permissions to administrators of my store. One user might be able to view customer details, but not change them while another can read and edit the details. I hope this makes sense, thank you in advance. Regards, Fish

    Does This Contribution Exist?

Hi, The contrubtion you have seen in CRE Loaded software is Administration Access Level Accounts 2.0. This is an excellent contribution, but is not what I am looking for. This contribution lets you decide which administrator can view what pages, but it doesnt let you assign read or write permissions to the pages each administrator can see. Regards, Fish

[CONTRIBUTION] Google XML Sitemap Feed - by Chemo

Hi, For people who have had good results from this contribution, have you noticed anything diferent about the new pages that Google has indexed? I have submitted sitemaps for 2 osCommerce sites and it seems that for all the new pages, Google isn't indexing any meta content, page title, or infact anything from that page. It is following links on each page though, but again not indexing any of the content. When I do a site:www.mysite.com (with safesearch = off)seach from Google, it shows all the previously indexed pages with title, and description, but all the new pages are only listed as URL's. Has anyone else had this or any diferent results? Regards, Fish

[CONTRIBUTION] Google XML Sitemap Feed - by Chemo

I did both methods and the latter option seemed to work best for me. Create an account with Google and submit it that way. You'll only have to do it once. I've had amazing result thanks to this contribution. Before submitting the sitmap, google had indexed 40 pages. Today, its up to 317. Its clever stuff. Cheers, Fish

    Basalt, In sitemap.class.php on lin 272, change the entire line to $filename = './' . $this->filename . $type; Cheers, Fish

[CONTRIBUTION] Google XML Sitemap Feed - by Chemo

Basalt, I think I've seen this problem before and it was because I was on a windows server. Instead of using an absolute URL in fopen(http://www.cybersystem.be/shop/sitemapcategories.xml), try using a local one instead - probably fopen(../sitemapcategories.xml). I'm not too clever with PHP but it looks like you'll need to look at the SaveFile on line 271 in sitemap.class.php. If you look at the variable $filename, you'll see how it works. Perhaps for a quick fix, you could 'hard code' '../sitemapcategories.xml' into the class. It might work. Also, who did the design on your site? It looks fammiliar. Cheers, Fish

FAO: Basalt, Add another category and see if you still get the same problem. I had problems because under development, I only had 1 category. Regards, Fish

[CONTRIBUTION] Google XML Sitemap Feed - by Chemo

Hi again Hans, I've fixed the problem I was having. My store is still under development and I only had 1 category and 1 product. I added another category with 1 more product and now the contribution works a treat. This had me stumped all day. Hope it helps you too. Regards, Fish

    Cost Price + Margin

Hi, Does anyone know of a contribution that will allow me to enter my cost price into the database and then let me set a percentage margin so that the customer sees the cost price + margin? Ideally I would like to be able to set a diferent percentage margin per category. Many thanks, Fish

    Custom Computer Creator v9 Support

Are there any plans to release a more stable version of this software? It would seem to be a great piece of kit if not as buggy as made out. Thanks, Fish

    Custom Computer Creator v9 Support

Hi, If anyone has this working in a live store, can you let me know the URL so that I can go and see it in action. I am thinking about implementing it in my store (www.stsonline.tv) as I'm currently using product attributes to let people configure their PC's. Regards, Fish

    On-Screen Dynamic Price Update??

Hi, I have a site which has products listed with various attributes. When someone selects one of the available options eg 16mb model instead of the standard 8mb Model, the price on the screen stay the same. Does anyone know of a contribution that would instantly update the on-screen price of a product, if an upgrade option was selected from the drop down list. I would immagine it would require some clever Javascript but since I know very little about said language, I am pretty much stuck. My site is www.photocartridges.com if you want to go and have a look to see exactly what I mean. (Go to the 'complete systems' category). Regards, Fish

Does HSBC module require mhash & mcrypt?

The module called 'HSBC Payment Modile' (note typo) requires MHash and MCrypt to be installed on the server. If you call phpinfo() it will tell you whether or not its installed on your server. This is by far the easier of the two HSBC modules to use. Its what I've used before and works nicely. Cheers, Fish

One quick and simple paypal question

Hi, I phoned Paypal UK today and they said that within the next week or so, they'll be introducing a system called 'wax or wacks' (i'm sure thats what she said, was a quiet line). It will allow your customers to go straight to a page where enter their credit card details etc all in one simple page and dont have to sign up for a Paypal account. Cheers, Fish

One quick and simple paypal question

Thanks to those who replied. I spoke to Paypal and they said: "I am very sorry, but at this time this feature is not available outside of the United States." I dont kow why this is but it really sucks. I suspect people are losing a fair bit of business when their customers cannot be bothered signing up to paypal to make a payment. I'm going to contact paypal again to see if there are any plans to to make this a non-USA specific feature. I'll keep you all posted on this thread. Regards, Fish

    Credit Class/Gift Vouchers/Discount Coupons 5.10

Hi, i've installed the lastest version on 2.2ms2 and everything is working fine except that I'm using BTS1.2 and I cannot get the modifications to catalog/includes/boxes/shopping_cart.php to function. This is because of the way BTS works and no longer uses the $info_box_contents array. Has anyone found a way round this problem or can anyone help me out a bit. Any help is much appreciated. Regards, Fish
