    Multi_Vendor_Shipping new thread

    Hi All Just working with MVS 1.3 and installing to osCmax rather than osCommerce, but I think the issue would be the same. 1060 - Duplicate column name 'vendors_email' Checking at line 214: $vendors_query = tep_db_query("select vendors_id, vendors_name, vendors_email, vendors_contact, vendors_phone1, vendors_phone2, vendors_email, vendors_send_email, vendors_status_send, vendor_street, vendor_add2, vendor_city, vendor_state, vendors_zipcode, vendor_country, vendor_country, vendors_image, account_number, vendors_url, vendor_add_info, handling_charge, handling_per_box, tare_weight, percent_tare_weight, max_box_weight, zones from " . TABLE_VENDORS . " where vendors_id = '" . (int) $_GET['vendors_id'] . "'"); and sure enough the field is repeated, and again at line 444: $vendors_content_query_raw = "select vendors_id, vendors_name, vendors_email, vendors_contact, vendors_phone1, vendors_phone2, vendors_email, vendors_send_email, vendors_status_send, vendor_street, vendor_add2, vendor_city, vendor_state, vendors_zipcode, vendor_country, vendor_country, vendors_image, account_number, vendors_url, vendor_add_info, handling_charge, handling_per_box, tare_weight, max_box_weight from " . TABLE_VENDORS . " order by vendors_id"; and then if I fix those up, I get 1060 - Duplicate column name 'vendor_country' revisiting the same two lines, 214 and 444, reveals vendor_country is repeated. Removing the repeated field values allows the Vendor Manager admin page to run.

    SiteMonitor

Hi Jack I am working with v2.9 Site Monitor and I am wondering why you store the to / from emails and the directories in the SM configure when they are 'in theory' already available from the configure files or the db for the site. Specifically $to = 'some_address@your_domain.com'; //where email is sent to $from = 'From: some_address@your_domain.com'; //where email is sent from $start_dir = '/home/username/public_html'; //your shops root $admin_dir = 'http://www.yourdomain.com/admin'; //your shops admin cheers Tony

    Canonical tag implementation

Hi Hold that thought. [sCRIPT_URI] is not consistently supported on all servers / PHP combo's. For that matter neither is [REQUEST_URI]. More work required.

    Canonical tag implementation

Hi Conceptually this is excellent. One issue is that the current code does not cope with catalogs that are not in the root directory. // starts canonical tag function - www.webshoptimizer.com function CanonicalUrl() { $domain = substr((($request_type == 'SSL') ? HTTPS_SERVER : HTTP_SERVER), 0, -1); // gets the base URL minus the trailing slash $string = $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; // gets the url $search = '\&osCsid.*|\?osCsid.*'; // searches for the session id in the url $replace = ''; // replaces with nothing i.e. deletes echo $domain . ereg_replace( $search, $replace, $string ); // merges the variables and echoing them } The issue is that the HTTPS_SERVER/HTTP_SERVER variables are from the configure.php file and include the domain URL and the directory in which the catalog is installed. The $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] also includes the directory where the catalog is installed. Consequently if the catalog is in a directory instead of the root, then the directory name is doubled up as a result. The solution, I think, is to take the same code and use different variables. function CanonicalUrl() { $string = $_GET['QUERY_STRING']; // gets everything that is a variable to the right of the ? $search = '\&osCsid.*|\?osCsid.*'; // searches for the session id in the query string $replace = ''; // replaces with nothing i.e. deletes echo $_SERVER[SCRIPT_URI].ereg_replace( $search, $replace, $string ); // uses the script_uri instead and appends the revised query string } The configure.php settings are not required. Just use the QUERY_STRING which is everything to the right of the ? in the URL in the replace process. Use the SCRIPT_URI which is the server/directory/script name, or everything to the left of the ? and add the QUERY_STRING dropping off the osCsid value. Hope this helps.

    PDF Catalog v.1.5

Hi All Another issue with timeouts. 3000 + items in system so the timeout via the browser is a certainty. In fact I messed with v 1.x of this contrib about 2 years ago and gave up due to lack of time. But it is now an essential for me. Running from a command line is not using Apache => Register Globals being enabled via the .htaccess file is ignored. As a result I am using #php pdf_catalogue.php to execute from the Linux command line BUT I get FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it! How can I get around this? I do not want to enable globals on the server as it messes with my other apps.

    PDF Catalog v.1.5

Hi All PDF Catalog v2.0.6 downloaded tonight. Selecting the PDF Introudction (pdf_define_intro.php) from the Tools menu I get a pink error message on the page ERROR_FILE_NOT_WRITEABLE. Checking in pdf_define_intro.php line 123 ERROR_FILE_NOT_WRITEABLE language variable not defined. Error occuring as $file is null value Hence a) why is it null b) need to handle a null value with appropriate error c) need to add ERROR_FILE_NOT_WRITEABLE definition No time to fix tonight, but cannot see that anyone else has this issue. Am I alone?
  7. Hi All Aside from anything else, its about time these 128 pages of info were put into their own forum which would make it a whole heap easier to review. On to my question, I am trying to install the latest SPPC, with QtyPriceBreak and Hide 0 Price add-on. As a foundation I am using 2.2 nov 05 release with Register_Globals patch. From reviewing the three, installing SPPC with Register Globals already done is easy, but after that there is some confusion for me. When comparing product_info.php across the three add-ons I find some subtractive variations as well as additive variations in the code. With SPPC its ok, but with the QtyPriceBreak it appears that some of the SPPC code is moved or changed, i.e. both files have additional code but in different places as if the QPB add-on is based in a different version of SPPC. So my question is "is the current file for QPB (and Hide 0 prices add-on) based in SPPC 4.1.5 or earlier ?" i.e Can I safely copy the preconfigured files for these two add-ons over the top of SPPC or do I need to manually insert changes ? TIA

    RSS File Contribution...

Hi All I have been trying to get this contrib up and running but I am not getting any response from the rss.php script. It appears to hang somewhere before it even tries to give a response to the browser. There's no error message. The Postnuke RSS block is not working but I am assuming that if the rss.php will not return a page of xml values, then the RSS block is not going to either. Any ideas please. cheers Tony

    Category Specific Meta Tags

Hi I tried this contrib recently and found a clash of variable names with the default Quick Find search utility. Both the default config (2.2MS2) and the contrib us the variable name $keywords. This results in the Quick Find box being populated with the meta_tag keywords data. A simple change of all occurrences of $keywords to $metakeywords in the meta_tags.php file fixed this. My update showed 3 changes. I also changed $description to $metadescription as it seemed likely to be used elsewhere. Other than this issue the contrib seems to do what it is meant to do. The addition of sub-category and admin control will make it a great contrib. Thanks cheers Tony
