  1. Noel, Did you install 6.1 complete, 6.1a complete, or 6.1b? I tried looking it up by contribution #, to no avail. Thank you in advance, Lisa
  2. Noel, Do you have any idea if USPS Methods (contribution #487, v6.1) is compatible with the STS (Simple Template System) Module? I'm running v2.2 with STS.
  3. Thank you again, Steve! I downloaded and installed Winmerge, but I have no idea how to use it--so I'm attempting to make changes to my files manually. I'm currently modifying admin/modules.php. I'm having a heck of a time finding: $contents[] = array('text' => '<br />' . $keys); The closest string I've been able to locate is: $contents[] = array('text' => '<br>' . $keys); Is that close enough? I have STS in my store. Could that be why there is a difference? Thanks again, Lisa
  4. Thank you, Steve! :) After I install "USPS Rate V4 Intl Rate V2 - v.1.7 - FIX," will I then need to install "ADD-ON USPS restrict Methods by Product?" I have backed everything up--and I'm ready to take the plunge--just want to make sure I do everything in the proper order. :sweating: Thanks again, Lisa
  5. I read over all of the posts again--and discovered I had not downloaded the latest "full package," so I downloaded that. I still need to know how to get into the database, however. Thank you again, Lisa
  6. Don'tcha just love the USPS? I called them last week and was assured the calculator on my site was the latest version--then was informed of it not working after midnight--by a customer. From everything I've read, I first need to "remove" USPS from my Shipping Modules. Then, via FTP, I need to copy the new "categories" php file over catalog > admin > includes > languages > English. and also copy the new "categories" php file over catalog > admin then copy the new USPS php file to: catalog > includes > modules > shipping Assuming all of the above is correct so far, I need to "perform a small query" on the database. How do I get to the database to make changes to it? Do I FTP to it--or do I access it from my admin? I apologize for asking questions that are obvious to the rest of you. I'm an old lady and am still learning. Thank you, in advance, for any help any of you can offer me. I, too, am in a panic because USPS is my only shipping method. Lisa

    [Contribution] STS v4

P.S. I'm not certain I posted in the correct thread. My store is running on osCommerce RC2a and STSv4.6--if that helps. Thank you again, Lisa

    [Contribution] STS v4

Hello, The front end of my store is working fine, but my admin tool is running very slowly. The tech support representative at my web hosting service said the following errors were showing on the server: [sat Aug 14 02:47:02 2010] [error] [client] File does not exist: /home/lisassti/public_html/admin/includes/javascript/tiny_mce/plugins/codeprotect, referer: http://lisasstitchingpost.com/admin/categories.php?cPath=17 [sat Aug 14 02:47:02 2010] [error] [client] File does not exist: /home/lisassti/public_html/admin/includes/javascript/tiny_mce/plugins/ibrowser, referer: http://lisasstitchingpost.com/admin/categories.php?cPath=17 He said I should share the above errors with those of you on the OsC community forums and see if you could give me any directions that he might be able to assist me with. Thank you in advance, Lisa
  9. Hi again Greg, Thanks for your order (lol)! Because of the error message I received when I changed your checkout warning text, I had to revert back to your default text until I could work on it again (which is why it was working when you placed your order). I just finished working on it again and.....ta-dah!!! YOU WERE RIGHT! I was using apostrophes without putting in backslashes! I am very much a newbie at PHP and didn't know that needed to be done. Many of my customers are LOLs (little old ladies) and some of them have never purchased fabric online before, so I have been getting lots of incomplete orders. Can't wait to see if they're able to follow the instructions in the warning! Thanks a million, Greg. You're a life saver! Lisa Peden Lisa's Stitching Post
  10. Hi Greg, When I make a purchase from my store and complete my Paypal payment, I get a window that says something about waiting to be redirected to my site--or to "click here" to reload if it takes more than 5 seconds. When I tried to edit the message that is inside your box with the stop sign (with Dreamweaver), I received error codes during checkout. Could you please share the code for this message so I can change the wording? "define('TEXT_PAYPAL_WARNING', 'Note: You are about to be directed to PayPal\'s website to submit payment. Once you have paid for your order, you <b>*MUST*</b> click the <b>Return to YOURSTORENAME</b> button on PayPal\'s site to complete your order. Your order WILL NOT be received unless you follow this procedure!'); define('TEXT_PAYPAL_WARNING_CONFIRM', 'Yes I understand this, I will follow these instructions after payment.')" Many thanks to you, Greg, for creating this contribution! Lisa Peden Lisa's Stitching Post
  11. Greg,

Thank you very much for your contribution! I can't wait to see if it solves my inventory control headaches.

  12. Hi Craig, I spent the last 6 hours installing Greg's add-on but, like you, the warning did not show up during checkout. I added "_standard" to "paypal" and now it works beautifully! Thank you for posting your fix!! Lisa Lisa's Stitching Post
  13. Hello, I have an OsC store running with STS. I was able to make Google Analytics work, for the most part, by installing code within my footer template. I installed additional code into the checkout_success.php file. However, Google Analytics does not seem to be tracking conversions. Should I have installed that second bit of code into one of my templates instead? Also, I would like to include a link (at the end of some of my product specifications) to a .pdf file which includes additional photos and information about the item. My question is: Where do I upload the .pdf file so that the customer has access to that product information when they click on the link? An example of an item page I am needing help with is here: http://lisasstitchingpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=3_10_56&products_id=296. Where it says, "Click here for pattern back," I want the customer to be able to view a .pdf I have uploaded. I would appreciate any suggestions any of you can offer to either of the above problems. Thank you in advance! Lisa
