  1. I have been having customers report that they are getting "****** is unable to ship to this address" in a red banner when choosing paypal.

I have been onto paypal and there is an issue with OsCommerce causing this this to happen some times.

@pandrei I have pm'd you the response so you can see.

    Anyone else had this issue?

  2. Has anyone written or worked out a way to do "call for payment"?

I get a large number of customer that want to pay over the phone so want a module/plug in where once they put their order together they put their number in and I get it my end a message to call for payment.

  3. Hi All,

Can anyone suggest a solution.  I have made some new categories in menu and deleted some. The new Categories show in the Admin area and look to be ok, but can not get them to show on the website, and even when editing the theme they do not show 😕

    No.

    Here are the steps:

    1. Install Cron Scheduller app

    2. Add to CPanel cron job the main job of Cron Scheduller (it is displayed in the botton of Cron Scheduller page):

    3. Then add the standard job:

Thank you for that, did not notice that I needed to scroll down the page to find that.

  5. I know this might seem a silly question...

I have installed the notify module, and the cron extension. I have gone into cron manager (sorted the errors - wget, php path, prod_open). I have install the standard cron job 'Add Standard Job -> Products -> Notify back in stock' and then assign.

Is it as simple as that?

    Thanks for right answers!

CronSheduler allows to send such emails automatically or manually. It will be available as soon as new version is released.

Is there any news on when the update will be ready to send the emails, even if it just manually the same way it did in the old version 1.0.7.5 Phoenix I used to use?

  7. I can not find what I am missing, I have found the section where there 7 different address layouts in the admin area and can move different aspects of them around.

What I can not find is where I use them so the addresses are in the right layout on different pages of the website E.G. website footer, My account; and admin area E.G. packing slip, invoice

    What have I missed?

The following modifications have been performed on a standard WATCH OSCV4 original theme.

After creating two new product categories, each one with a subcategory (with one product each) and turning off all the default sample categories that were initially present, as shown in this picture:

    image.png.5bd889ed48eebaa77d01e9953a47de11.png

the whole homepage layout is mangled without even touching the "Themes/Customize" button, as follows:

    1) the new categories with their subcategories and products do not show up on the website homepage

    2) only two products show up while all products were actually showing before turning off the above sample categories

    3) the "featured products" tab which was present before turning off the sample categories has disappeared

    4) the "discount products"tab which was present before turning off the sample categories has disappeared

    5) all the sample products belonging to sample categories have disappeared and will not return even if their respective sample categories are turned back on again

    6) the "Best Seller" product list on homepage has disappeared.

All the new categories plus their subcategories are actually present and enabled in all the menus where they should be present.

Anybody has ANY idea WHY all the above is happening, despite the very latest OSCV4 version?

    Thank you

Think II can help with some of this.

To get the categories show you need to go to "Design & CMS" -> "Menus" and then add the menus to the Main category.

The layout should then work (hopefully)..

Best Seller will disappear as you have no sold products.

Give this a go, hopefully sorts most your issues :D
