Of all the stuff I tried and tried, the one thing that I completely missed was to remove and reinstall the module, operator error. Everything is 100% now, thanks a million. Just curious. When did they change the 1st-Class option? I last updated the module for my friends store, before the fix file from the 14th, around the first of the year changes and he was still getting 1st-Class quotes as late as Sept 12th, looking back at past orders.

I give up I guess. Why do they have to "fix" what isn't broken? This was working fine before the USPS changes, using the default weights of 0 and 70 in every column and with the handling charges to cover extra options that are included in every shipment like tracking. But I tried it without any weights, tried changing it to a max of .8125 the max weight of FC, tried removing the handling charges, everything I can think of. So here is my output. I'm at a loss. I have First Class selected in admin, it seems to be passing to and from the server, but it doesn't show as an option on the site. For domestic only three options are used First Class, Media and Priority. with FC being the most used. I'm only showing Media and Priority in store. I'm stuck, usually I can get my way out, but this is stumping me. I was trying to give it an email address direct in the commented line so it would go to me rather than the store owner, but am not getting anything. The link above goes to the upsxml file from Jan 2012, is that what you were referring to? I installed the update to USPS Rate that was released Nov 14th. EDIT: I got the email working, was forgetting quotes :(

So, I implemented the fix file from a couple pages back. Everything seems to be working fine again, with one exception, I no longer have an option for domestic first class. Is there something I missed? I tried to un-comment the line to get an email from USPS, but I get nothing in response when filling out the proper email address. Any tips anybody can give?

Thanks, I tried that and still got all the same options I had before for international. I reverted back to the default shipping module and got the first class international option to show. But in reverting back to the default module I also lose my media mail options for in country users. Media mail will be the primary shipping method for the states, and FCI will be the only method being used for international customers. Now that I'm back to square one with the shipping module I may try the methods 4.3.0 and see if I have any luck with that. But the last time I tried the alpha module the form in the admin panel just filled every box with the word "ARRAY." I guess if I could find a way to add media mail to my array, and then comment out the rest of the international options I would be just as good as anything for now.

Anybody ever find a fix to this? I'm having the same issues with a current install. Using 4.2.1 changed to 'First Class Mail International Package' still getting no option for this method, and it's the only method I want to use for international.

I have tried the search feature here and found it to be less than useful when it comes down to actually finding things of need. Anyway. I'm having issues with this modules' international options. My client really only wants/needs one option for users from other countries that is first class international. I have tried the verbiage changes, removing the dash and adding "Package" to the name,with all options checked in the admin panel I get every option but first class international. I read somewhere that a change needed to be made to two files, I changed the usps.php as recommended, but in reading 28 pages of the help thread for the module I couldn't find any reference to the second file that needed to be changed. I have changed the first class line in the usps.php to indicate a package, which is the only way he ships overseas. For the record I have tried an address in both Scotland and Canada for these transactions and still no option available, the test item in question has a weight of 1 pound. This is the email I get from the report, I don't see any errors in it. The domestic first class report gives an error that the package is under 13oz so it's FCD isn't available.
