2.3.4 Bootstrap admin - too many redirects

I was able to use the network recorder in Chrome Dev Tools to see that the issue was the login.php file. Somehow the catalog version of this file had replaced the Admin file. All is good now.

2.3.4 Bootstrap admin - too many redirects

This code is also in the catalog level .htaccess file:
  3. I installed the Bootstrap 2.3.4 version on 8.23.18 and got everything working, including configuring SSL. In the last week something has changed (possibly with my web host, although they deny it) and now my Admin site is unavailable. I get "too many redirects" from Chrome and Firefox, I think I have somehow gotten in a loop. The Web Host help desk tried to help but was unable to....they did modify 2 files and I had to try and undo their silly changes. .htaccess code in Admin, intended to rewrite to www and https: the admin config file: I am not super familiar with the .htaccess changes, I followed suggestions made in similar threads to get it to work, but I don't know if the webhost made a change to that file.
  4. Thanks! That fixed it, and I was able to take the same fix to the other 2 jquery rows as well. WhyNoPadlock now tells me I have no mixed content (but they see an SSL cert problem I don't understand). Most of the console warnings are gone. Thanks so much for the help!
  5. While completing a new install of 2.3.4.1 CE I noticed that the version check tool isn't recording the results to the DB. Anyone have any idea why not?
  6. @John W This gives an error: jQuery is not defined at jquery-ui-1.10.4.min.js:6 (and also for the other file)
  7. Thanks! That appears to have resolved the issue with that call. I have these as well, but the format is different so I wasn't able to apply the exact same treatment: orders.php:1 Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.mysiteURL.com/admin/orders.php?page=1&oID=4736&action=edit' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script 'http://www.mysiteURL.com/ext/jquery/jquery-2.2.3.min.js'. 9. @jcMagpie the URLs don't exist in that manner, the calls being made are building the URLs out from the Config files etc
  10. That error was one of many related to the CSS/jquery. I have this in my admin/template_top.php. I'm not sure how to make the change you suggest: <base href="<?php echo ($request_type == 'SSL') ? HTTPS_SERVER . DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN : HTTP_SERVER . 11. I am trying to fix my new installation to use SSL everywhere. I get mixed content warnings. I get warnings about: I edited the site config file to be: define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.mysiteURL.com'); define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.mysiteURL.com'); define('ENABLE_SSL', true); I also edited the admin>includes config to have: define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.mysiteURL.com'); define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.mysiteURL.com'); define('ENABLE_SSL', true); define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', ''); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', ''); define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/admin'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/admin'); define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.mysiteURL.com'); define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.mysiteURL.com'); define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); ### I tried true here as well I edited the .htaccess file in the root folder with this at the top: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L] RewriteCond %{HTTPS} on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.(.*)$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L] I have verified that the SSL certificate is installed correctly, and it appears to work on the main site but not the Admin site. I also tried putting the same .htaccess code in the Admin area but it made no difference. The only place still throwing a warning is the CSS/jquery on the admin area...if I don't ignore the warnings the site is ugly. Why No Padlock says my main site is not SSL secured but I get the padlock in Chrome. The Admin site fails for all sorts of stuff like the error at the top of this post. please help!
  12. I too am getting a blank page, with the same error. I want to understand the source of the error, and I would really like to get this addon working for my site. What should I look for? I verified that the codes was exactly as specified....twice
  13. I installed this hack and I get the following error on the product image: Warning: opendir(osCommerceimg_cache) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /hermes/bosweb/web132/b1329/sl.wiremybi/public_html/includes/functions/general.php on line 1313 I don't have my site in the Catalog folder, but rather in the root(if this makes a difference). I tried every version I could think of, and the only difference i found was changing: define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'osCommerce'); to: define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', ''); At which point I would get a blank screen with the error At the leat one pair of size is 0 Anyone able to help?
