    The Payment Module Showdown Thread

I'd like to get a thread together compiling all of our experiences and opinions regarding the payment systems and module's that interact with them. Since just about all of us use our stores differently, we would be able to compile a wonderful FAQ for all the new shop owners who are setting up. I guess I should start with myself to get the format straight. My products: High performance car parts and motorsports safety gear. Value of orders: High ($1,000+ USD per order is the norm) Quantity of orders: Few (10 per month for the most part) Payment module: Vger's Authorize Net AIM module (GPL) My thoughts: I just got all the paper work filled out with my bank and Authorize. I'll update this when I go live.

    [CONTRIBUTION] Authorize Net AIM module

you should be able to actually if you don't mind digging through the code to do it. just get the source from that contrib and start using "Find" to find the actual contributions code. I use Gedit in linux to do that. i'd recommend a programming oriented text editor to do that kind of work because it makes it easier to see what you're doing and where you need to be.

    Customer Information Manager?

do any of the current contributions for authorize.net work with the Customer Information Manager service? from what i've learned via speaking to their reps it seems to be the way to go to simplify PCI compliance.
  4. I'm curious as to what your recommendations are for a payment gateway. 1) I'm in the USA 2) I sell high performance car parts (fewer orders but much higher dollar and profit purchases) 3) I'm looking for something i have a fair deal of control over 4) I need to be able to get the money somewhat quickly if its for something that is made in house. 5) My main bank account is with security service credit union. 6) I could manually process all payments. I'm not anticipating having the kind of volume to require other solutions.

    PCI compliance?

thank you, i'm using a third party hosting provider, but i'm still at a loss regarding a payment gateway.

    PCI compliance?

I'm curious as to what your recommendations are for a PCI compliant payment gateway? I'm in the USA, I sell high performance car parts (fewer orders but much higher dollar and profit purchases), and I'm looking for something i have a fair deal of control over but still possesses PCI compliance and the ability to process CC's, and I need to be able to get the money somewhat quickly if its for something that is made in house. I'm using the latest version of OSC as well, and my main bank account is through Security Service Credit Union.
