  1. Why anyone would use any SEO URL's module other than Chemo's Ultimate SEO URL's on an Apache server escapes me completely.

I can see the point of the module which works on Windows servers, but for Apache servers there really is only Ultimate SEO URL's that I would use.

Never had any problems with using them with any payment module.

  2. If your site uses SSL (shared or full) then it already transmits the data as encrypted data - so in that case you don't need to do anything with those settings.

If you don't have SSL then read the Install Guide that comes with the IPN module, because it provides links to the information you need.

  3. Although I no longer provide support for CCGV(trad) here I will make this comment about what "Open Source" means.

If there is a home for "Open Source" then it is "Source Forge". At Source Forge the only people who can update a project are the Developer or Team of Developers providing it.

Because something is Open Source (GPL) it means that people can take it, redevelop it how they want and pass it on to others. That doesn't mean that anyone and everyone should have the ability to screw up the original source files by posting idiotic "fixes" or "updates" to them.

Unfortunately that's the way things work here - and that's why support and development for it has been moved.

  4. If you have copied and pasted from a non-plain text editor, which applies formatting, such as Wordpad then you'll get non-sgml characters entered, and one of these is Windows own version of an apostrophy (not recognised except by Microsoft programmes).

  5. The IP address to give to Protx is the servers shared ip address - even if your website has its own dedicated ip address.

Protx knows which site it is by the 'vendor name' supplied.

  6. It's Tom you need to thank. I posted the original but Tom has been the one keeping it up to date since then - except for the "No shipping address" fix I posted this past week.

  7. If there were any particular changes you had to make, either to STS orCCGV(trad) then can you post them here? I can then add them as a help file to the next update of CCGV(trad).

Just to let anyone else who uses STS know, I got this working and both contributions work fine together.
  8. With CCGV(trad), provided you added the My Account option during the install, then you can send the Gift Voucher to someone else from My Account.

There is no 'Redeem' button any longer in CCGV(trad) so either you are using an old version - or else you are using CCGV which I don't support here.

  9. It's IE7, and I have javascript enabled. What I meant was that if I typed in something that didn't match any search term the page did not appear to do anything. People are used to having to hit a "Search" or "Go" button to get results - and I didn't even notice that it was doing anything and barely noticed a result (0 out of 0) posted underneath.

I'd make the '"Results" a bit more noticeable.

  10. The latest version of CCGV (trad) doesn't have that problem - because I removed the 'Redeem' button on the Checkout Payment page.

The problem previously was that there were two 'forms' nested in that page and it wasn't possible to seperate them.

If you clicked the Redeem button before selecting a Payment method then you got that error - which you would get anyway if you tried to proceed without selecting a payment method. By removing the Redeem button then all you have to do now is to click 'Continue' and it works fine.

  11. You have a VERY VERY nce website - and I don't often say that!

    Vger

@Babygurgles - you are correct but I am not ..

    Tom

Many thanks, replacing the code (with correct bloody spellings) has made me fully functional (although very unsightly to the user at the mo) once more!!!

    Hooray ...

Seriuosly, if you need any linen, mail me what you like on the site and I'll look after you in a trade kinda way

  12. The major problem still being suffered by people seems to revolve around the redirects from the old URL's not working. I would advise anyone to use the new URL's to get around the bottle neck caused by the failing redirects.

  13. On an aside, purhaps a download history of the project should be made available, allowing new comers to download pre-RC1 snapshots?

I couldn't agree more. Also the PDF download of the Knowledge Base for MS2 has been replaced with the Knowledge Base for MS3 (which hasn't been released and is years behind).

In the meantime you can download osCommerce 2.2 MS2 from sourceforge.net

I am not going to update CCGV(trad) for a development version of osCommerce. Only last week I downloaded and installed phpBB RC3 and it underwent major changes within days to become RC4.
