    Datacash

This is only second hand information, so don't take it as gospel. Apparently Datacash were not interested in supporting the modules development in any way citing a small market of osCommerce stores as the reason. Small??? Compared with what?

    Datacash

A client is interested in switching to Datacash for their online payments. Couple of questions: Has anyone had experience with using datacash? Has anyone integrated osC with Datacash Would anyone be interested in co-sponsoring the development of a datacash module? I suppose I should also add to that list: Would anyone be interesting in developing the module if sponsorship was raised? Haven't done a payment module myself, but would be willing to give it a try if no-one else stepped up.

    Unusual shipping requirements

A customer of mine has a pretty complicated shipping requirement, that I cannot see a easy way to implement. I wondered whether anyone had any ideas as to what the best approach would be to doing this: Here are the requirements: 1. Several regions, each with their own weight based shipping (as per table rates). 2. Low order charges for any orders under a prescribed value. The above is straight forward enough, and is how it is currently set up. However, they require the following additional rules to apply only to customers in the UK: 3. Have 2 subsets of products that are instead charged on a per item basis (say, 1.99 per item for subset A, and 9.99 per item for subset B. 4. Low order fees will not apply to items in these subsets. Have been playing with a couple of approaches to this, but can't really see the best way forward. Anyone got any ideas?

    Actual Attribute Price V1.0

Does anyone have this working with on new versions of OSC? Works fine using set price attributes, but doesn't cope at all with attributes that either don't effect the price (price of the item ends up as 0), or with a price adjustment (base price + 2.00 will give a total cost of 2.00). Would really like to get this one working, as we have edited over 3000 attributes to be in line with this set-up.

    Shipping question

Using zone rates for shipping on a site at the moment, and the owner wants to add free shipping for orders over a certain amount. The catch is that this amount varies per zone. For example, domestic shipping will have price based on weight (as per usual zone rates), but free shipping on orders over 200 Euros. Zone 2 will have different rates based on weight, but offer free shipping on orders over 300 Euros. Zones are currently set up perfectly & work fine, but I am not sure of the best way to go about the free element. Looked through the contribs and can't see anything that will do the job, so wondered whether anyone had done something similar.

    coolMenu

Posting a problem here seems to have an amazing impact on my ability to solve it myself! If anyone else is suffering from apostrophe problems, here is the solution I am using: around line 151 of /includes/coolmenu.php find the line: and replace it with simple

    coolMenu

Been using coolmenu on a few sites for a while, & love it. Currently adding it to a multi-language site and having a problem that I have not encoutered before. The french category structure contains lots of apostrophes (e.g. a category Mat?riel Pour l'Evaluation ), which it appears stops the menu displaying. I've seen a couple people comment on this when using english names ending in 's & wondered whether anyone had a solution other than to remove the apostrophes

    Business Post Shipping Module

    Business Post Shipping Module

The module was really designed to meet the needs of one client, rather than for wider use. That client had a per item agreement with them, which is why it is designed that way. Imagine that it would be pretty easy to change it around to be by weight though. The main job of the module is to determine with UK business post region the customer is in.

    Business Post Shipping Module

Sorry for the slow reply. Must have accidentally unsubscribed to this topic. re the "me toos". Just help yourself from the link above. Installation: There are only two files, so it is pretty easy. They should unzip to roughly the right locations, but if not then one goes in includes/languages/english/modules/shipping and the other in includes/modules/shipping (or there abouts) Once they are uploaded just go to shipping administration, look for the module "Business Post", click it then click install. Once it is installed you can edit the rates for each of the UK business post zones. The rate entered is multiplied by the number of items. Hopefully that makes sense.

    Business Post Shipping Module

I've uploaded it as a zip file. Should probably put this up as a flaky contribution, but this will do for now: http://www.brit-net.com/offsite/osc/ In the back of my mind, I am sure that the zoning is not perfect (I was being given bits of the list at a time, so it is pretty messy), but I have not seen a wrong calculation of zone yet. Hope that it is of at least some help. Let me know if you improve it at all. Mat
  12. Hi All, I've just completed a module for the UK based courier Business Post (http://www.businesspost.com/). It's probably a bit too customer-specific for contribution at the moment, but provides a reasonable starting point for anyone who uses this courier. If others are interested in using it I'd be happy to try and tidy it up a bit for general release. Just reply to let me know.

    coolMenu

Flancrest, The size of the box is determined by an image in /catalog/includes/boxes/coolmenu.php Play about with that and you should get your menus back.

    coolMenu

Please ignore my message above. It works fine with margins, but not borders. Solution :: Use margins instead of borders !

    coolMenu

This isn't a show stopper or anything, but I thought that i would mention it to see if anyone had any ideas. I've been playing with a non-live store of mine trying to come up with a look that is a little less "osC" in appearance. One thing I have done is to set margins on the body style. Under IE Coolmenu still looks..., well cool. NN calculates position with margins differently though, so while IE moves the menu over properly, NN leaves it where it would be without margins. Just really wondering if anyone knows an easy way around this. With most CSS stuff I use the glish.com fix for this problem, but I got myself a bit lost trying to apply something similar to Coolmenu. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.
