How to install a new template for newbies

I'm using one of these templates too... If you're a newbie (like me) I strongly suggest that you go with a paid one. In fact I may be doing that myself today. I finally got the template up and running you can check mine out here: http://www.americanmusiccentre.net/mall but now I've been having a million problems with it. Including that if you click on one of my subcategories it says that there are no products when there are. Also if you try to check out you get an error. I really don't think it was worth it. Free doesn't always mean that it's a good quality. HOWEVER, if you still want to give it a go here are the easy instructions: http://www.websitetemplatedesign.com/oscom...osc_install.htm Good luck!
  2. The images for my products are all different sizes, I don't want them to all be the same size because it makes it look horrible, but for some reason OScommerce seems to only allow one image size and it changes all my thumbnails to that one size. Does anyone know how to change this? it there a module or something? Please help. I'm not having a very good experiance with OsCommerce. I gave it a go, but I'm seriously considering going to Zen or Cubecart. I have been having a lot of problems that seem to be unsolvable. I might be throwing in the towel :(
  3. I get this error whenever I try to perform a test checkout on my website: Call to undefined method shipping::get_shiptotal() in mall/includes/modules/shipping/indvship.php on line 53 I just finished installing the individual shipping mod. Does anyone know how to fix it?

    I have a template...Now What?

I really didn't understand anything in that post. But thanks anyways. In response to Sam, that doesn't really help considering that I don't have the contact info from the person who made the template, and if I DID have it then obviously I wouldn't be here on the OsCommerce forum asking other people for help. but thanks for your suggestion anyway.
  5. I am very new to OsCommerce (like today new  ) and I need help! I have a template that I would like to use for my store, but I don't have the faintest clue as to how i install it on OsCommerce. The readme file wasn't helpful at all, so I was wondering if anyone on here would be able to give me a step-by-step of how to do it. FYI: I am using Cpanel, and I already downloaded OsCommerce via Fantastico, I don't know if I should have done that already or not since I was told that this template was actually the entire OsCommerce application, not just a template. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance!
