  1. Just curious, will the original UPS module still work after installing UPSXML ? Just would like to know.
  2. Someone made a purchase for Next Day Air. OSC returned a price of about $43, but using my worldship software yielded $49. Anyone got an ideas? Also the module price already includes a $7.00 markup. I have OSC 2.2 MS2 but it is from 2003. I am confused though - 4 years later the current download version of OSC is still 2.2 MS2?? Is that right? Anyway, any help for the UPS module is appreciated. Thanks
  3. I never merged them, I just have two versions of the admin section, one with a set of certain contribs and another with another (small) set Since then I have found a few OSC packages that include numerous contribs, and I have used them since on new install..
  4. I dont know if this has been brought up, but with this mod, a particular product can end up having several different unique pages that point to it, essential looking like multiple copies of a page to search engine spider - a big SEF no-no. Has this been fixed? Regardless, good job. I personally made my own SEF mod last February through April that is very similar to this Nimmit one as the only other ones available at the time required the catalog be located in the root. Mine though is very extensive and requires changes throughout many many files. Being a novice with PHP I didn't try to make it simple lol.. Anyway here is a sample of a site with my work: http://www.maxlang.com/cufflinksandstuds.com/ There have actually been numerous fixes since the version in the above site that have have not yet been implemented (the above site is not live). Also that site is based on the CRE Loaded version of OSC... As for making this mod public, that is debatable as it is a pretty cumbersome mod and I don't really want to support it lol.. -John M
  5. Ok I needed a Search Engine Friendly solution that works in an OSC install in a subfolder. In my case, www.somesite.com/catalog So, I went ahead and made my own SEF contrib. It is not as elegant as the one by Silencer, but it appears to get the job done. My version only makes links to categories and products SEF enabled, as those are the only ones of importance to me. I made it for MS2. Not sure how it will work with other versions. As far as I can tell it works with and without cookies. "Prevent Spider Sessions" in the admin needs to be enabled if Force Cookies use is turned off. If not, the sid will appear to search engines even on SEF links. Anyway, you can get it here. I would love to have some people test it first before I add it to the contributions section. http://munsey.net/oscommerce/SEF_from_John.zip
  6. I really need to get the Attribute Sorter and Copier copontrib working with the Option Type contrib. I have managed to merge the admin files the admin section working well with both contribs functionality. Unfortunately I cannot get the data to display in the catalog. The file product_info.php in the catalog looks next to impossible with my knowledge of PHP to merge. What a mess! Beyond compare list 42 SECTIONS as different between the two base files. If ANYONE has these two base files merged and working please let me know. If I cannot get them merged I will just abandon the option type functionality all together, but it will really hinder my store. Thanks in advance, John M
  7. I dunno, a jumble of about 50 lines of code. Total PITA. I imagine it will take me a good while to figure it out with beyond compare. I also have header tag control and big images/3 images installed, and then a bunch of custom stuff thrown in.. Could you give me your copy of it? I use am using the lastest Milestone release. Please e-mail to [email protected] Thx
  8. Alternatively, is there a way to make a stand-alone Attribute_Sorter_Copierv5?
  9. Attribute_Sorter_Copierv5 & Option Type Feature I read some posts about how these two do not mix well. Is there anyone who has them combined? I DON'T want to deal the the Shoppe Enhancement dealio. I already have a heavily customized OSC and it would take too much time and effort.. If anyone has any knowledge of those two contribs installed and working correctly together, or an alternative, please let me know. Currently I already have the 3 images mod, Option Type mod, and several others installed, not to mention my own mods.. Thanks John M
  10. I take it back, the categories.php in the admin folder needed some modification, and it doesn't appear to be related to EZ Populate. It may just be a bug on my end. So, ignore the post..
  11. ok the easypopulate file I had previously shared was not completely modified correctly. Editing a product using the standard OSC admin product edit would delete the medium and large image paths in the database. I have a fixed version. E-mail me if you want it or the fix. I don't want to post anything until I test it some more.. -John M
  12. Thanks I found it right after i made my post.. I don't knw why I didn't notice it before. It seems the searches here return a whole bunch of results and it is easy to miss what you are looking for..
  13. Bueller? Bueller? Anyone? Anyone? Essentially I want to add some product attributes that allows text field input.. This is very critical for me or OSC becomes useless !
  14. Hey that server has some DNS issues so you can get a new one at another server. Someone asked for this file here was my reply: Sorry my DNS got modified for that server - u can get i here: http://www.munseymedia.com/temp/easypopulate.zip This is a newer version. The part of easypopulate that let you download your product list did not contain the image mod fields, so I added those, but they are not commented as of yet(do a file compare). I also tweaked some TIMESTAMP issues but I can't get the thing to take a manually entered time/date.. Otherwise it seems to work ok, though it does seem to add a single product with empty data unless your excel text file for input is just right. I have not thoroughly tested it so it might have some bugs. Consider it beta.. Good Luck John M
