  1. MERGE BETWEEN CCGV AND REFERRAL 1.1 Hi guys, I'm actually looking to merge the refferal 1.1 mod and ccgv. So far the two mods looks compatible to a certain point but the refferal mod is using the customer table to add referral points and than calculate the amount to use only at the order_total. I believe that to hack a bite the referral mod in order to add the referral points into the coupon_gv_customer shouldn't be a big problem but I can't see where to start. Did anyone allready done something in this way?

    Wishlist 2.0 Support Thread

Hi guys, There is a long time I'm thinking about doing some hack to this contrib to make the wish list avaible to third people (I think it is the main purpose of it) and I need some help to make right. Here is how I was thinking to do it: 1. to make avaible to the others, add a field with the customer ID if not logged in. so people who are receiving the wishlist by email will be able to see it. and if it is the owner of the wishlist, to grab automaticly its Customer ID. 2. Add a line for the email saying " to see this wishlist use this code:XXX" 3. make a little hack on the wishlist page as the shopping cart that if the third party is buying the stuff the wishlist will change its status to a little phrase saying " this Item has been baught by one of your relative".and if the customer doesn't confirm his order the status will remain the same. I think the button move to the shopping cart + the wishlist ID could help it. I guess this hack doesn't need a lot of work but as far as I can see, this needs to now the code well (not my case). Can anyone help or suggest? <_<

OZ, you are correct The allow products doesn't give you the opportunity to set the commission off. But my main purpose was to disallow the affiliate to advertise for a specific product. as far as I have checked the "variable commission products" I'll make the hack to disallow the affiliate commission and to finalize my contrib... Thanks Bud!

    Infobox Skin Manager v2.0

Hi there, I noticed the infobox skin manager only works with infoBox. I tried to make it work with contentBox but obviously it looks harder than I thought. Did anyone allready made this little hack to make it work to any boxes?

helohelo, Of course you can make any cross check you'll like and make shure the affiliate will not be able to be credited... Now, even if it looks easy it take a bite of time to do it...To be honest I don't need this feature so I will not spend time on it... But maybe other guys on this forum will do it... who knows...

helohelo, The affiliate will be credited... But he has to subscribe as a regual client to be able to do this trick... anyway I don't think we can avoid such of things. even if we put some kind of check on affiliate e-mail or what ever. If your affiliate is willing to trick you, he will do it on this way or another. Let's say we put a check on the email. Ok, great, your affiliate will not be able create a regular client account and than we just make affiliate account as a regular account that will not credit it's own sales. Here we go! But guess what, he will go on yahoo and make a new email account and than subscribe as a regular client! Boooh! He will be able to do it anyway! Believe me, you cannot avoid this! I prefer to consider it as something like some kind of special discount for my affiliate even if the person is not really honest to do such of things... Put it in your lost & profit account ;)

Kevin, I don't see your point!!! First of all the links are not on your site but on your affiliate site... I guess you did your search by giving your domain name so it is pretty normal to see your affiliate links in this case... Then, even if you did not so, your positionning on search engines is related to the links they found on your and other websites. So, what's the deal if you pay commissions for your affiliate when you have an exellent positionning... in fact, you have the best return value you will ever have cause you are paying your affiliate for sales and you are gaining on your search positionning. Some webmasters are dreaming on that...Believe me it is a pretty good deal. As I said, if somebody is clicking on your affiliate links, it is kind of correct to pay for. In fact, this affiliate did his job, by being placed on the search engines... whatever, if you feel to be screwed up by this method I can't do anything for you.

Hi guys i did a little hadd-on to improve the OSC Affiliate mod. This one allow you to choose what products shoud be available for your affiliate when they are building links I did this because I didn't want my affiliate to be able to build links for gift vouchers... of course if they are displaying a regular banner and the refferal choose to buy a gift vouvher it won't work but at least they cannot advertise on that... you can find it at: ;) http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1858

Oliver, You should try to make a hack of the existing mod "Control Login" as far as I have seen, the setup of affiliate account is not much different than customer and moreover you decide to allow affiliate to be part of the programm
