  1. I updated one of my osc2.2 template to 3.0 but I used the default template as a base for it can someone recommend a tutorial on what changes need to be made so it can be recognized by the admin as a separate template?
  2. i fixed the header issue i just accidentally downloaded the header from an earlier template I don't think the tree template uses it , but my girlfriend designed that and she was working off one of my templates so its possible ivy I would try uploading the index.php file again
  3. not sure what you mean , post a link to the site or a screenshot
  4. not sure what you mean but try it and see what happens ;) its probably an image as the background, look in the images folder at the images with "bg" in their file name
  5. that might just be a mistake on the readme, as I modified the default install more I made changes to those files, but this being the first one I designed you might no have to change them
  6. lol, no but if you want I can send you the png file so you can do it yourself
  7. i should have said the "images" folder there is a folder in the "images" folder called "infobox" where the corners are
  8. I pm'ed him and asked him to stop copying my stuff and design his own images this is his response
  9. sure you just need to figure out a way to have it print the code for the flash on the product pages oscommerce just outputs html in the end, anything that can be done on a html page should be possible
  10. My girlfriend and I have designed a bunch of oscommerce templates and released them I know that that people are free to pretty much do what they want with them, but what about people pretty much copying them and releasing them as essentially theirs on the this site like this guy http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6110 he releases this template http://red.theme.bathingape.co.za/ which looks surprisingly a lot like a the orange Julius template I designed awhile ago http://e-themes.info/oscommerce3/ I know people can take the templates and do what they like with them on their own sites, but isn't it kind of lame to strip someone credits and kind of pass off someone else's images and styles as your own? I mean couldn't he at least use his image editor to make the images a little different? he has copied two so far, but I am assuming he will continue to do this Is this lame, or should I be proud that someone likes my work so much they copy it and pass it off as their own?
  11. just right click on the image and look at the properties some of those are right in the images folder
  12. just put a hunting or whatever picture for the header and then change the colors to match in the style sheet
  13. you could play around with categories.php , or just create a static menu in the header.php file making a static menu might be easier
  14. is there a rule against free templates?
  15. http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5895 Demo : http://e-themes.info/oscommerce2/ Thank you
  16. those images should just be in the template images folder, if I remember correctly
  17. First try at making an oscommerce template, kept it kind of simple http://e-themes.info/oscommerce/index.php I noticed in order to really change the look of the software I might have to make edits to the main files such as index.php etc, the files in the root of the installation, is that just how its done on other templates?
  18. I design free wordpress themes and was thinking of designing some themes for oscommerce, but I wanted to know what the policy is on submitting contributions to the site, or more importantly if I design some templates will I be able to upload them to the oscommerce site for download? I know it sounds like a dumb question but I designed some templates for phpbb and basically phpbb hasn't accepted and displayed any new theme submissions on their website for like a year and a half. Is the contributions section on the oscommerce site active and accepting submissions?
