    Marketplace Category/Version Cleanup

The next update will be pushed out this month and takes care of that 👍

There's also Relevancy and Last Updated sort options. Relevancy is the default.

Sorry, it's not the % search, it's fulltext search.

It's the standard MySQL % searching. One of the next updates will move the searching to an Elasticsearch server.
  5. The class constructor has a syntax error which is why the Apps Marketplace did not accept the upload. Here is the class constructor of includes/modules/header_tags/ht_jcm_owl_carousel2_js.php: function __construct() { $this->title = MODULE_HEADER_TAGS_JCM_OWL_CAROUSEL2_JS_TITLE; $this->description = MODULE_HEADER_TAGS_JCM_OWL_CAROUSEL2_JS_DESCRIPTION; if ( defined('MODULE_HEADER_TAGS_JCM_OWL_CAROUSEL2_JS_STATUS') ) { $this->sort_order = MODULE_HEADER_TAGS_JCM_OWL_CAROUSEL2_JS_SORT_ORDER; $this->enabled = (MODULE_HEADER_TAGS_JCM_OWL_CAROUSEL2_JS_STATUS == 'True'); } } global $oscTemplate, $category_depth; if (basename($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME']) == 'index.php' && (isset($category_depth) && $category_depth == 'top') && ! isset($_GET['manufacturers_id'])) { $oscTemplate->addBlock( '<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/OwlCarousel2/2.3.4/assets/owl.carousel.css">' . "\n", $this->group); $oscTemplate->addBlock( '<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/OwlCarousel2/2.3.4/assets/owl.theme.default.css">' . "\n", $this->group); } } Either the constructor is closed early before the global statement, or a function name is missing. Either way, it's good now that the Apps Marketplace can detect such issues 👍

    Forum Changes

@JcMagpie I've moved the topic to the Add-Ons forum channel. It should now be selectable at the Apps Marketplace.

    Forum Changes

@Gyakutsuki the forum channels for development, v2.4, and v3.x have been vaulted and are no longer publicly accessible. The v2.4 channel may return in the near future. The v3.x channels will remain vaulted. The v2.x Bootstrap forum channel will soon be merged to the v2.x General forum channel. The whole OSCOM v2.x forum category will be moved to a club in the near future. Each major version series and community edition release will have their own Club section for discussions to be held in. (OSCOM v2.x and Bootstrap CE will be held in one Club)

    Forum Changes

@MrPhil thanks for the feedback. Our next announcements will address some of the points you have risen. @JcMagpie the topic must exist in the OSCOM v2.x -> Add-Ons forum channel. Could you confirm the location of the topic you're trying to link to?

    Forum Changes

Hi All.. The forum was down for maintenance today for backend work and to streamline the forum structure. Many of the support forums have been merged (eg, OSCOM v2.x support, installation, upgrades, tips and tricks, ..), and some have been vaulted (eg, OSCOM v3.x, development, ..). The encyclopedia sized forum rules have also been streamlined and now point to the policies on our main website. For a test run, the Clubs section is being shown more prominently on the front page of the forum, showing the last 3 active clubs. This may change again in the future where all discussions are held in Clubs to further streamline the forum structure, and to experiment with entirely new forum front page experiences. Announcements will soon be made regarding the following: v2.x Community Editions Apps Marketplace New Me Website OSCOM v3.x New channels for v3.x discussions will be added to the forum when the announcement is ready to be made. On a personal note, I apologize for my lack of presence in the forum - I have been focused entirely on coding. Many thanks to the moderator team keeping the community civilized. My resources now allow me to do both, so watch out 👀😃 and catch me in the Public Chat area again from this week on.
  11. Harald, please, please, PLEASE, can you re-desing the addons area were we can find the following?

    • A warning with very old addons...
    • A good starting point:  https://es.wordpress.org/plugins/

If you can't do it, please ALLOW to do it by the rest of this OPEN SOURCE comunity.

Forum Software Update (31st July 2018)

Forum Software Update (31st July 2018)

Hi All.. The forum software has just been updated to the latest software version, and there are heavy duty tasks still running in the background that will probably take until tomorrow to complete. This includes reindexing all topics and postings (searching will not work until this is complete), reindexing status updates and activities, recounting statistics, and merging the German forum postings into the new German Community club. The user accounts from the German forum have successfully been merged into this community. This is a start to adding international support to this forum using the Clubs feature of the forum software to separate foreign communities from the main English content. As the forum software update included changes to the user account integration with our main websites, logins and new signups were disabled during the downtime (preventing App Marketplace downloads, sorry) and are now fully functional again. Please post here any quirks you may experience regarding the forum software update or user account issues from our main websites. Thanks! PS, I'm fine. Thanks to those who contacted me in the past. Announcements will be published soon.

    Progress Update

Hi All.. A quick progress update regarding what we've been working on recently. A new Community Team is being formed to help moderate community submitted content and to help with community relations and issues. This not only helps the developers in the team to focus more on code development and less on moderation, but also broadens the voice in the team when community related issues arise and are addressed. This new approach to the team is being ironed out and we'll be glad to invite more active users in the community to help out once everything is running smoothly again. For the curious, those we have initially invited can be seen on the forum staff page. An internal build of v2.3.5 has been in testing and this weekend will be spent fixing the known issues. A majority of reported issues and pull requests at Github have been addressed and will also make their way into v2.3.6 (the Community Bootstrap edition). These releases are planned to be the last in the v2.3.x release series to place all resources on v2.4/v3.0. Accommodations will be made if the community wish to continue working on v2.3.6 for future v2.3.x releases. More information about this will be announced with the releases. The next test builds will be made available to Ambassadors for a wider testing audience. Both releases will be officially pushed out this month. The forum software has been updated to the latest release series and introduces a new Clubs section to the forum. We've moved our partner announcements forum channels to the Clubs section where our partners can customize their own club sections further with logos and additional discussion channels. We're planning on adding multilingual Clubs in the near future, and also community requested clubs (eg, for community release editions). The upgrade of the forum software version was originally postponed due to changes made with user accounts and the integration we have with our main website. This also plays a role with the marketplace integration in v2.4 where user accounts are required. An online update for 2.4 will be pushed out soon to test the marketplace integration and user account logins/creations with. Release dates for v2.4 will be provided when the marketplace integration online update has been pushed out. Two new websites were planned to be launched in Q4 but are being pushed back to Q1 2018 to push our next releases out first. The new websites are for a proper commercial support inquiry / job marketplace website (to replace the not-so-user-friendly forum channel here in the forums), and a new user profile website (for Ambassadors) to highlight ones profile across all of our websites (submissions from our forums, live sites, and apps marketplace websites), with the focus on the person behind the screen name. Hope everyone has a great festive season!
