Has anyone had any success integrating this into osCommerce version 3.0a5? Any problems encountered? (I considered posting this in the v3.x forums but there doesn't seem to be much activity over there yet...)

I came here to ask the same question. I actually contacted UPS asking how this will affect third-party software and got a complete non-answer at first, and then another answer that said, "If you are using a third-party provider, please contact your provider to determine if they are in compliance or if you will be affected by the upcoming changes."

I'm still having this problem, I just installed it on a brand new store and I'm having the same issue. If I try to update any one individual item, it fouls up the discount on all the other items by 5%. Any help?

I'm building a store for a client and they only just told me that they're planning on shipping large, pallet-size orders out, using their UPS freight account. I don't yet see any shipping module contributions that do this, and it doesn't even look like there's a UPS Rates & Services tool for that anyway. They're also planning on shipping smaller, package-sized orders, and I'll use the UPSXML Rates & Services module for that, I've installed it before and it works fine. But what should I do about their large orders? They will absolutely NOT switch to FedEx, though I know there's a FedEx Freight contrib somewhere out there. What are other people doing in situations like this? I've seen some old threads with a similar question but no answers.

I installed this on a store a few months ago and it seemed to be working fine, and then I left it alone for a long time while the client had me working on other things. The client wants ALMOST every product in the store to be 20% off so I set everything to be 20% off and then removed the discount on a few select items. Now when I go into Specials by Category and try to change an individual product's price, either by checking "Full Price" and hitting the "Update All Products" button, or by changing the "Special Price" for that item and clicking "Update All Products," it does change the price of the item in question -- but then it also takes an additional 5% or so off all the other produts! Almost everything is at 20% off, and if I do "Full Price" on one item, all of a sudden all the other products become 25% off. Why would this be happening? Using the top section, applying a percentage to all items by category, still works fine and doesn't cause any problems, but why can't I update an individual item properly? What code should I post that might help someone help me? Thanks for any advice anyone can provide.

I've Googled and searched this forum, and seen a lot of references to the fact that GoDaddy makes you go through a proxy to use cURL, but I really seem to be missing something. I installed PayPal WPP (US) Direct Payments and PayPal Express Checkout (the official ones that came with the latest version of osCommerce, not a downloaded contribution) and after reading a bunch of these threads, I changed the "cURL Program Location" from usr/bin/curl to http://proxy.shr.secureserver.net:3128 in the admin area, but I am still getting hung up when I click "Confirm Order" and it tries to go to checkout_process.php. I don't get an error message of any kind, it just hangs for a long time and then gives up. Is that not the right place to set the proxy settings? Is there something in the paypal_direct.php code that I need to change instead? I'm using the sandbox as the transaction server, and I've been trying to make test purchases using a fake name and the "4111111111111111" credit card with a fake expiration date and CVV2.

Did anyone ever figure out how to get this to work three levels down? I sent a message to the guy who said he had done it, but he hasn't been around for several months and I don't know if he's checking his messages. It would be great to get this working for multiple levels of sub-categories.
