    Who's Online Enhancement 1.4

Is support for this addon now defunct? Nobody seems to be answering any questions! However, in the hope that eventually someone will come up with a suggestion or two, I'd really appreciate some help to sort out the problems. I've installed the latest version 3.6.5 and the results are not helpful. It just shows "Guest" for anyone on the site. Also, for example, it shows "Region: Surrey" for someone connecting from Herefordshire and, of course, the town is wrong. Similarly for any other guest to the site, the region and town are wrong. Furthermore, it says "Referer? Not found" for every guest. It also shows me when I'm looking at it in admin as being in California! The shopping cart always shows empty even when there are products in it. Does anybody have this version working properly please?

That didn't fix it for me I'm afraid! The latest version seems to have already made those corrections. Any other ideas please?

    Who's Online Enhancement 1.4

I've installed this enhancement and double-checked that the /includes/functions/whos_online.php is correctly uploaded. Checked the database table and all the required fields are there. However, I still get Referer? Not Found. Also Region and City are blank and no positional information shows on the map. Help please? Ken

I've just downloaded 3.6.7 but there are no installation instructions. Is the instruction file included in 3.6.5 Full OK for the latest version? Ken

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

Ah yes, of course. I missed the implication. Been so involved in settings for two carts accessing the same Paypal account my mind was pre-focussed. Ken

I totally agree with what you say Martin. However, isn't it strange that one site was showing the split screen? I'd have thought that if "Paypal Account Optional" was 'off' then neither of his sites would have seen the split screen? Ken

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

I've now tried this with two live sites accessing the same Paypal account and with the variables "reply" and "notify_url" properly passed from each site. Absolutely perfect - no confusion. Both return to the correct checkout process and orders are correctly allocated and the shopping baskets cleared. Hope this helps. Ken

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

There is no file paypal_ipn.php anywhere on the site. Yes, that's all in position. There isn't on the two test sites I've set up using the full installation as downloaded. According to paypal, if the calling program sends return URLs in the variables "notify_url" and "return" these will override the default return URLs set up in "Profile". This seems to work ok in paypal sandbox test environment for the two test osC sites I'm playing with at the moment. As to "teaching granny to suck eggs", no problem. I'm always happy to learn from anybody with more experience than I. I hope you don't mind me pursuing what seems to be a bit anomalous.
  10. Testing Website Payments Standard seems to work fine on both CC and PP transactions in the Sandbox environment. However, if the same client, after returning to the store, decides to buy another item, osC seems to send the same invoice number because PP complains that the invoice has already been paid. Any suggestions about how to stop this please?

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

Whoa - stop right there! In osC2rc2a there is no such code file as /includes/modules/paypal_ipn.php! So, having installed paypal website payments standard, I appear to have everything set up? All I appear to need to do is set up my profile to return to catalog/ext/modules/payment/paypal/standard_ipn.php? Ken

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

I'm a bit confused. osCrc2a has a Paypal module (catalog>ext>modules>payment>paypal>standard_ipn.php). Isn't this all that's needed for IPN? Ken

    Secure Trading

For some reason checkout_process.php is redirecting my callback to the login.php page. My callback text is as follows:- url1 http://www.(my site name).com/catalog/checkout_process.php This is exactly as specified in the Secure Trading STability Payment Module MS2.2. The first function called in checkout_process.php is invoked as follows: // if the customer is not logged on, redirect them to the login page if (!tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) ...etc The first line must be returning true but why? It must have returned false before activating the payment page otherwise the system would never have got to ST for payment! I've been chasing this around for two days and I'm desperate for some help please?

    [Contribution] Linked Products

Thanks for your interest. I've spent a lot of time searching contributions with no luck. If you manage to come up with something I'd be grateful to hear about it. Ken

    [Contribution] Linked Products

Sorry, I didn't make it very clear. e.g. We offer jewellery rings but the sizes are defined differently in UK; USA and Europe. We want to ensure that if an American selects US ring sizes, neither the UK nor European sizes can be accidentally selected as well, otherwise it could cause confusion in Sales. I think that perhaps a drop down list of UK; USA; European is initially visible and, when one is selected, then another list appears with the sizes relevant to that selection. Hope that makes it clearer? Ken

    [Contribution] Linked Products

A small digression if I may. Would it be possible to set up links so that if one of 3 links were selected, the other 2 would be unavailable? In other words, options would only be available for the chosen link - e.g. links to US, UK or European where the options for each are different. Ken

    Exclusive links

Would your contribution enable me to set up a master product with 3 optional links so that if one of the links is selected the other two are not available? Ken
  19. We already have auto-update-currencies contribution installed. Will this still work if we install Display Currency Flag Images instead of Drop Down Box?

    Auto Update Currencies

    Ah, fairy nuff.

    Auto Update Currencies

It seems odd that I have three currencies to be updated. Sometimes the script says that two have been updated and one has not because it has been updated within the last time period. Since all three are subject to the same cron and script they should all either be updated or all stamped as updated at the same time shouldn't they? Ken

    Auto Update Currencies

Hi Jack I've made the code change you suggested (return $nhours; instead of return $ndays;). I have 'HOURS_BETWEEN_UPDATES' , '12' and the Cron job set to 4 hours. It still seems to be unreliable in updating currencies. Sometimes updating and other times claiming it was updated within the specified period when I know it was not. Ken

Is there a contribution somewhere to enable me to create a slide show to appear in the "What's New" box instead of a single product? Sorry if I've missed it somehow! Ken
