  1. Support thread for OllaCart Point of Sale (ocPOS) for osCommerce Easy to use, no changes needed to osCommerce files, no database editing needed. Uses osCommerce database natively, so there is no need to worry about regular customers/products/order synchronization. It's all in the same database. Updates done in either ocPOS or osCommerce are instantly visible in both ocPOS and osCommerce. Installer takes care of needed database changes, files are completely separate. Formerly commercial, now GPL. The known issues/bugs are documented in README.txt As-is. No developer support available at this time. I may or may not have time, so please don't get upset if I don't answer promptly (or at all). Attribute support, including a mode for QT Pro. I am not the original developer. I purchased full rights to this several years ago, and have been developing it off and on since. It is now being opened fuly to the community. Download: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/9320.
  2. What this contrib does: ========================= This contrib allows customers to add comments to their own orders, even after the order has been finalized. There are many reasons why you may need to email your customers and await feedback from them. There are other reasons why your customers may contact you directly. The purpose of this contrib is to allow that communication to happen directly in osCommerce; thereby removing the need to copy-n-paste communications into the osCommerce admin tool. ***IMPORTANT***: This contribution is very simple to install, but requires you to do a little thinking. When the customer submits an update, this code will change the order status. You can either have it change to an existing order status, or make up a completely new status (mine is named Customer Update). You can have the code update the order status to whatever you want, but you have to decide, and then edit the line below, as I've marked it. It is currently hardcoded to 13. To find the numerical value of your order status in the osCommerce administration tool, do the following: 1- Admin > Localization > Orders Status. 2- Click on the order status you'll be using for this contrib 3- Note the URL in your browser. It will be http://YourDomainName/admin/orders_status....age=1&oID=XXXXX, where XXXXX is the order status number. Again, the code is hardcoded to use 13. What this contrib does NOT: =========================== This contrib does not allow the customer to modify their order in any way other than add comments. It does not allow them to select the new order status. It will set the order status to the same "Customer Update" (as described above) every time. It does not allow them to add/remove products from their order. Again, they can add comments. That's all. Additional uses: =========================== I find it useful to link to the account_historY_info.php page (which requires a login) on the contact_us.php page. This has really cut down on email that asks what the order status is, or if they can have it shipped via SlowBoat rather than Next Day. Allowing customers to put these questions directly into their order means that I don't have to read as much email. Disclaimer: =========================== This contrib has been designed for and tested with osCommerce 2.2 MS2. While it should easily work, perhaps with minor modifications, with other versions of osCommerce, it has not been tested as such. 3. Grep tells me that neither php_network_getaddresses nor getaddrinfo appear on ocPOS code. Are you successfully running other PHP applications on that same server? If this were my server, I'd create a file called aaaaa.php with the following contents: <?php phpinfo(); ?> Then save, upload to the ocPOS folder, and try to access it in your browser, just for a sanity check. I think that the problem is likely something other than ocPOS directly. -jared
  4. Is this for a version you downloaded here from oscommerce.com, or an earlier version?
  5. I'm glad you figured out the problem! I was just going to post something similar to what you already figured out. -jared
  6. Emma, I just emailed you on this. Please let me know via email if you need any further assistance, and I'll be happy to help. -jared
  7. Harvey, This is a feature not (yet?) included in ocPOS. I realize that it's a pain, but I just never got time to update the pricing functions to have an option to include VAT in pricing versus list VAT separately. -jared
  8. That appears to be a bug in 2.5. I do not believe that 2.1 has that bug. I just haven't had the time to squash it in 2.5 yet. I had thought that issue only appeared in OSC mode (as documented in README.txt). Apparently not. <sigh>
  9. Try setting OSC_ATTRIBUTES_MODE to NONE. -jared
  10. could be a PHP version issue -- I have run it for a while on PHP 5.5 but not tried on 5.6. Even if that were the case, I wouldn't expect your symptoms. If you feel comfortable giving me HTTP+FTP access to that folder I could remote in and see if I can figure out what's going on. -jared
  11. You get all of that in your browser? That's not normal -- it should be interpreted by the PHP engine server side. Try creating a text file, name it whatever you want, with the following contents: <?php phpinfo(); ?> and upload it to your server. Now access it in your browser. Do you get a nicely formatted page, or something full of text? This is strange -- Do you have other PHP applications working on that server? -jared
  12. The pastebin error includes both a code snippet and an error message. I'm guessing that the actual error is this: Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: No such file or directory in /var/www/xn--pizzalg-v1a.dk/public_html/pos1/includes/functions_values.php on line 21 Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: A link to the server could not be established in /var/www/xn--pizzalg-v1a.dk/public_html/pos1/includes/functions_values.php on line 21 Warning: mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /var/www/xn--pizzalg-v1a.dk/public_html/pos1/includes/functions_values.php on line 21 correct? Did you enter the database details in db.php? Did you run install.php? -jared
  13. All Customers Report v1.0 - March 22, 2005 written by Jared Call at client's suggestion some code nicked and modified from /catalog/admin/customers.php Released under the GNU General Public License What this contrib does: ========================= This contribution simply generates a list of all customers and their mailing addresses, alphabetized by last name (surname). Depending on several things, it may take several seconds to generate. The resulting data can be easily copied/pasted into spreadsheets for mailing list labels, importing into other customer management software, etc. Downloadable from http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3045 . Disclaimer: This contrib has been designed for and tested with osCommerce 2.2 MS2. While it should easily work, perhaps with minor modifications, with other versions of osCommerce, it has not been tested as such. 14. Support for many osC add-ons, including that one, can be added to by anyone to ocPOS but are not built-in. There is nothing ready-made to activate, you'd have to locate the parts of the code that figure out pricing and add in logic to handle that alternate pricing structure. I don't have any external repos for this, github or otherwise. Feel free to branch it! -jared
  15. There is no template for sending mail, HTML or otherwise, but you could create your own. For example, in the MailCustomerReceipt function, you can see the HTML mail headers being set. A quick Google search will return numerous examples of sending HTML email via PHP.
  16. I like the look and flexibility of that new layout. Nice!
  17. @@motorcity: Thank you for the kind words and support. You're a good friend. @everyone_else: 2.1 is the "stable" version. 2.5 is in use in a few shops, but has more warts (and more features). I am neither an accomplished nor professional PHP developer, as you can likely see in the product. It's more than just a few lines here and there, and I've put many many hours of work into it, but 2.5 isn't as polished as I'd like, as you can plainly see by perusing README.txt. There is even an alternate layout (look at in index.html and NEW_LAYOUT_index.php) that I was working on, but didn't finish (theme?). I may or may not be successful finding time to help out, make fixes, etc. I am nearly certain that I won't have time for enhancements, but time may tell us all otherwise. ocPOS was a huge help for my wife's shop years ago and has made a big difference for others. I hope it is useful for you. -jared
  18. ocPOS is now an add-on, free and open. http://forums.oscommerce.com/topic/407813-ollacart-point-of-sale-for-oscommerce-ocpos/?hl=ocpos -jared
  19. uploaded v2.5, with support for PHP 5.4. removed functions deprecated post PHP 5.2. NOTE: This version uses functions deprecated as of PHP 5.5, mostly mysql vs mysqli stuff. See README.txt and CHANGES.txt for additional detail.
  20. New Products Icon 1.0 Dec 04, 2004 Authors: Jared Call, Bobby Credit to Chemo (Bobby) for showing me how to condense some of this code What this contrib does: ========================= In both the New Products listing and the regular catalog listing, this contribution adds a "new" icon next to the product's name if the product was added to your store within the past 30 days. Disclaimer: This contrib has been designed for and tested with osCommerce 2.2 MS2. While it should easily work, perhaps with minor modifications, with other versions of osCommerce, it has not been tested as such. BACK UP FIRST! Downloadable from http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2690
  21. Simple Admin Access Control 1.0 Dec 07, 2004 Authors: Jared Call What this contrib does: ======================== This contribution very simply adds the ability to limit sub-admin users to access only certain areas of the osCommerce administrative area. It assumes that you have already created these users in your host's control panel, requiring login to the /admin area with one of these usernames. Disclaimer: This contrib has been designed for and tested with osCommerce 2.2 MS2. While it should easily work, perhaps with minor modifications, with other versions of osCommerce, it has not been tested as such. 22. More Category Boxes 1.0 June 29, 2005 Author: Jared Call Dignified Contributor: Gregory Baboolal (devosc) This contribution can be downloaded from: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3327 What this contrib does: ======================== This contribution adds the following features: - Add up to 10 additional category boxes to the left column, each of which can contain up to 25 admin-selectable top level categories. - Each new category box may be enabled/disabled. - The default categories box may be enabled/disabled. - Each new category box has a customizable name (infobox heading). Caveats / Known Issues: ======================= - Each category box is updated independently in admin. When you click the "update" button, you are updating that box ONLY. - You may only select parent categories to display at top level in each infobox (i.e. this contrib does not alter the standard osCommerce category tree structure). - This contribution does not yet support apostrophes in infobox names. - Categories still follow the same sorting order specified in the osCommerce Admin >> Catalog >> Categories/Products NOTE: The customer for whom this was written wanted to use up to 50 categories per category box. If you want to do this, use the files with -50 in the name. For example, instead of using more_categories.php, rename more_categories-50.php to more_categories.php and use that one instead. NOTE2: The includes/boxes/more_categories-50.php file also includes the CategoriesBox Enhancement contribution code. It should be easy enough, with a diff utility (Beyond Compare, WinMerge, CompareIt, WinDiff, etc) to see the differences between the includes/boxes/more_categories.php and includes/boxes/more_categories-50.php. (all of this and more is in the readme.txt in the contrib download)
  23. TrustCommerce Payment Module v2.0 Dec 24, 2005 Contributor: Jared Call This release adds: - postauth transaction in osC Admin - credit transaction in osC Admin - view TC transaction status in osC Admin - link to TC Vault in osC Admin - TC transaction history in osC Admin Download this contribution at: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,127 This is the support thread.
  24. Which USPS module? Some modules use curl to connect to connect. Look at admin/server_info.php and search for "curl". If it's not enabled, curl functions wouldn't be available to the shipping module and it'd fail to communicate back with the USPS server(s). -jared
