Sorry, continuing my lonely soliloque, can't seem to edit posts? Anyways, I managed to get the percentage discount working. However, not the percentage is taken from the subtotal without taxes. I want to it to be reducted from total with taxes. This is what my order total shows: Subtotal of items with taxes VAT tax (included in the above subtotal) Discount X%, shown in Euro (but taken from subtotal without taxes which is not even shown here) Postage COD fee Total So the problem is how to make this contrib reduct the discount from the subtotal with taxes. Anyone know a quick fix or which line I should be attacking, please?

Ok, I got the installing dilemma sorted out on my own. Still trying to figure out where to place the discount text, but I think I will get the hang of it. It's been a while since I stared at PHP code. A couple of more problems which have been referred to in this thread, but I don't think these features have been implemented in the current version of the contrib: First, the 'a' option is not coded in, is it? I mean percentage discount that some people asked about. A solution was sort of offered, but I would appreciate someoneshowing the exact code changes required. Another item is that the discount isn't showing in the shopping cart with the current code. Again, this thing was discussed and apparently solved? Can anyone tell me what changes/additions are required, please? I did seach this thread but I am still uncertain what's be best way to complement these. Thanks in advance.

And a follow-up question: Where exactly in the nested and product sections does the echo statement go?

Sorry for the stupid question, but about installing this contrib: do the files go under /includes/ in the admin folder, or the /includes folder in the root?
  5. Hi, I installed the 1.55 version and it works fine, except for a slight problem: I use COD module which charges every COD order 3,15?. This shows in Monthly sales & Tax as Gift vouchers and the sum of it is not added to the total sales. Any hints for how to fix this, please?

I'd like to add thumbs in articles which popup to window with a larger picture. Would that be possbile?
  7. I'd like to add that I changed the language id of the query that fetches the link lists (in catalog/links.php) to =1 so that I get the english list on both languages. A temporary solution at best while I am trying to find a better fix. I also noticed that the table links_status only has three rows all of which have language id =1 which means they won't show in the Finnish version of administration (or the add link in the catalogue I think.) Could this be the reason why adding links won't work on the Finnish side? And would it be fixed by adding double link_status options with language id=4 (which the id number for Finnish on my database?) Anyone?
  8. hi, has this contribution been properly tested for multi languages? I have a bit of problem with the links manager 1.01: Everything seems to work fine when I add categories in administration, and it still seems to work when I add links but when I take a look at the links in the catalog, they only show on the English pages (I have a bilingual site set up.) The Finnish side shows only the categories. I see that at least adding categories is multilingual but what about adding links themselves? On my setup this doesn't work. I have installed the contrib according to the instructions and I get no errors anywhere. My OSC version is 2.2 MS2. Does anyone have this contrib working on a multilanguage store?

Rob, continuing with my idea, I made a short bit of code: <html> <head> </head> <body> <table> <?php require('includes/application_top.php'); $lauseke=mysql_query("select topics_id, topics_name from topics_description where language_id = '1'"); while ($listaa=mysql_fetch_row($lauseke)) { $tulos=$listaa[1]; echo "<tr><td>" . $tulos . "</td></tr>"; $klause=mysql_query("select ad.articles_id, ad.articles_name, ad.articles_head_desc_tag , a2t.topics_id from articles_description ad, articles_to_topics a2t where ad.articles_id=a2t.articles_id and a2t.topics_id='" . $listaa[0] . "' and ad.language_id='1'"); while ($artikkelit=mysql_fetch_row($klause)) { echo "<tr><td><b>".$artikkelit[1] . "</b></td></tr>"; echo "<tr><td>".$artikkelit[2]."<br></td></tr>"; } } ?> </table> </body> </html> This seems to do what I want to accomplish but in a very simplified way and using non-OSC code, so to speak. I have made a few feeble attempts to integrate this into OSC but the OSC structure if a bit too complex for me. Could you guys lend a hand here, please? I am having especially hard time making correct mysql queries, I always end up with an error. Obviously there's something about the functions I don't understand. As you said, Rob, the finished code should go in place of 'default page' but am I right in assuming that I can also remove most of the main page code before that?
  10. hey, me too! :o I assume the code provided by the said banks isn't too difficult to implement into OSC but pointers would be nice anyway. Oh, and Tappara sucks! Ilves rocks!

Rob, I put my 'articles' link in a box which also contains 'news', 'forum', 'FAQ' and 'links' -links. I simply removed all the subcategory stuff and the authors box and added the other links. I made the 'articles' link from 'all articles' link just by changing its name. I also have a 'latest articles' box on my main body. It lists the 5 latest articles (just like in the latest news which I also have.) I wanted to simplify the articles category structure as far as possible. That's why I also would like to have a simple listing of all articles by topics when you click the 'articles' link. About the code, I am thinking that I should divide the sql query in two parts. A bit like this: query first topic list the topic query articles under this topic list the articles query second topic list the topic query articles under this topic list the articles ...etc. The article query & list part is there already but I need to figure out how to get the correct topic first before the articles and keep looping this until all topics are covered. That's why I suggested using an additional while loop around the original which would handle the topics. I am learning PHP slowly but steadily, so I should figure out this eventually but I certainly could use some pointers, and pelase do let me know if my reasoning is faulty here. Cheers!

hmm, would it that hard to modify articles.php in your mod to do this? I mean, it's quite easy to order the articles by topic and date as it is, just by editing the 'ORDER BY' in the query. After that all I had to do would be to come up with a routine that lists the articles under each topic title. That way I could get rid of the topic name listed for each article on the right side of the page. I might also add that I don't use nested topic categories, just one level of them. Plus in the articles box, I have only All Articles listed. What do you think?

    Article Manager v1.0

Hi Rob and others, I've also installed this ecellent mod and like a lot, so thanks for coding it! I'd like to modify it a bit, and could use some pointers: I want to change the articles.php so that when I click All AArticles link, I get a listing of all articles, sorted out according to their topics. In this manner: Topic 1 Article Article Article Topic 2 Article Article Article How would you make this, with an additional while loop or something?
  14. So how about it? I am also trying to put articles contribution over OSC + STS. Any advice how to do it, please? This sort of thing should really be documented in the articles contribution info, since many of us will try to use STS and add other contributions afterwards. After all, STS is such an excellent way to start modifying your OSC. :( So please, can you clarify the matter some more? Cheers, Juha
