  1. You can do a test transaction on the live server though, I think there's a setting for it.
  2. I have different credentials for the test server. I use it on my test site. @Dan Cole Bark Bark Bark, Woof Woof Woof. Now for the rest of the humans. As long as the module doesn't specify a particular SSL version like some of the older versions of A.net, you should be fine. The php curl info recomends not setting a specific SSL, which will allow the version A.net chooses. However, you can put a line in to force TLS 1.2 I know you have TLS 1.2 because you've tested it with Paypal, correct? I'm still going to run a test transaction and void it during the first time period they specify just to be sure. Chance favors the prepared. The people I think will have a problem are on older OS versions of say Redhat or Centos. I I'm not sure if version 6 supports TLS 1.2 for Redhat or Centos. I'm running Centos 7.4 64bit. Softlayer basically forced an upgrade to 64bit in December 2016.
  3. I received the email below, so I imagine everyone using A.net received this too. If you are unsure whether you can use TLS 1.2, you can go to https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/ and test your server to check what level your server/site supports. As you may be aware, new PCI DSS requirements state that all payment systems must disable earlier versions of TLS protocols. These older protocols, TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1, are highly vulnerable to security breaches and will be disabled by Authorize.Net on February 28, 2018. To help you identify if you’re using one of the older TLS protocols, Authorize.Net will temporarily disable those connections for a few hours on January 30, 2018 and then again on February 8, 2018. Please refer to our TLS FAQs for important details. Based on the API connection you are using, on either one of these two days you will not be able to process transactions for a short period of time. If you don’t know which API you’re using, your solution provider or development partner might be a good resource to help identify it. This disablement will occur on one of the following dates and time: · Akamai-enabled API connections will occur on January 30, 2018 between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM Pacific time. · All other API connections will occur on February 8, 2018 between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM Pacific time. Merchants using TLS 1.2 by these dates will not be affected by the temporary disablement. We strongly recommend that connections still using TLS 1.0 or TLS 1.1 be updated as soon as possible to the stronger TLS 1.2 protocol. If your current Virtual Point of Sale (VPOS) is an Authorize.Net product, please call Authorize.Net Customer Support at 1.877.447.3938 for assistance in updating to TLS 1.2. Note: If you are not using a current version of a web browser, please take a few moments to upgrade it now. Browsers released prior to 2014 may not support TLS 1.2. You can check your browser's TLS support by visiting https://www.howsmyssl.com/. If you have any questions about this email or the upcoming TLS disablement, please refer to our TLS FAQs. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for being an Authorize.Net merchant.
  4. Well, I have fedex as my shipping option, but I modified it to work with the packaging routine from UPSXML, so it quotes pretty well. It quotes dimensional weight, but most of my items are pretty light. The problem is fedex and UPS are so expensive, but I'm stuck with fedex because of my partner only ships fedex. For air freight, they have been dimensional weight for a long time, but all boxes since 2015. Last year they changed the dim factor from 166 to 139. I stopped using UPS quite a while ago and the fedex WSDL module works pretty well as long as I have my item and box dimensions in order. It's not as easy as it used to be. Until yesterday, Smartpost billed at actal weight. This is a bummer for one of the farms I use.
  5. I don't know if anyone uses this option or not, but as of January 22nd 2018, dimensional weight now applies. So, a box that is 24 x 12 x 12 inches will bill at 25lbs if it weighs less. One of the farms that ships product for me was blindsided by this today, and myself as well. Dimensional weight has been a problem for me since 2015 when they (fedex and UPS) started applying it to all boxes. Used to only be oversized boxes.
  6. Another part of Florida. My friend took this pic yesterday Kayaking. They think it was at least 10ft.
  7. I checked the weather up there and it shows -23 for @Dan Cole! I can't even imagine what that's like for you guys. However, I'm going play poker wiht friend's tonight and I think I'll have to put on long pants becase it's getting down to 50. Probably need a long sleeve shirt too!
  8. @Dan Cole It's going to be 67 today for the high. What I know about cold is I would die living where you live! This is the best time of year in Fl with mainly sunny skies and nice days. Stays green all year long, which I also like. No changing of leaves, but I sense that's overated! Personally, I like wearing shorts all year round, so I'll stay here. I think the coldest I've been in is the upper teens back in Louisiana. I built a snowman in 1974 when there was snow on the ground In La. Sorry, didn't mean to make you jealous. Well, maybe a little!
  9. @clustersolutions, I'm in Winter Park, which is basically East Orlando. Talking to one of my customers today about Sebastian Inlet and the fishing there. I used to live in Tampa/Clearwater, then Ft Myers/Cape Coral. Did a lot of fishing in both of those. Lot of lakes in my area and the coast is not too far. @burt, The tax in Florida is supposed to be where the buyer lives also, but I just charge where I am. For any state outside, I don't charge tax, which is the bulk of my sales. The California peeps have pretty good weather, but Florida kind of shines right now for weather. It's actually cold right now in the 50's, but most of our days in winter are 70's or even 80's. I imagine the UK is pretty cold right now. A lot of the US is very cold right now.
  10. @ArtcoInc That's a big difference from FL to CA, because I think the highest in FL is only 7% but I'm not sure about the Miami area. CA has state income tax also, doesn't it? No state income tax in FL either. Overall, it's a good state to live in.
  11. @clustersolutions Wow, sales tax in CA is 9%!!!!!!!!!!! While OSC has always shown Florida sales tax tat 7%, that is wrong. It's 6% state sales tax with counties having additional tax. In Orange county, it's .5% for a total of 6.5%. I do like the way you show that. I notice on Amzn and some other large ones they show it then have a subtraction line for it.
  12. You wouldn't want it to be absolute, but you could strip out the white spaces and create two search terms. Where it would work on the My Dog to MyDog term, there are others that it won't work because you need the space character. So, create a second search term and then have it search for either.

    Chase Payementech

I use Chase Paymentech with Authorize.net as my CC processor. I've been very happy with them and whole heartedly would recomend them. I noticed at the beginning of November that there was a 9.95 credit to my account that I couldn’t figure out, but I didn’t pursue it hard. I just got my end of the month statement and it’s listed as 3954301 - GOODWILL ADJUSTMENT - HURRICANE RELIEF It’s small, but I feel good that they did this without me asking for it.
  14. I haven't had a duplicate order since it stopped a few months ago. I'm having failed/incomplete orders where it shows "Preparing [PayPal Standard]" this week, which also come in spurts. I don't know if they just bail becasue of shipping costs or what. No customer I've ever contacted has responded and they are new customers. I've never had one of them contact me either asking about the order, so I assume they are bailing.
  15. You can find the addon with it's info https://apps.oscommerce.com/z6l1O&upsxml-version-1-5-for-oscommerce-2-3-x
  16. Looks good. Just track it and make sure you don't have any 404s that you shouldn't.
  17. @nafri You should correct this soon because it's going to affect your ranking. Off hand, you can make redirects in your htaccess like this. Redirect 301 /spidered-link-p-865.html /oscommerce-link.php This will be labor intensive to do by hand, but you can get a list of failing links at webmaster tools. You can use a tool like regexbuddy or an editor and write a simple regex to capture the original link and create these rules. If you don't know what i mean, post a couple examples of your old link and oscommerce link and I'll show you.
  18. I was getting duplicate orders as well as payments. Been over a month since it's happened though.
  19. That's how one customer described it to me. Most were not aware it happened. In every case I got two emails from PP confirming payment. For me it stopped as suddenly as it started and has not happened again. I thinnk it's a PP issue.
  20. The duplicate order problem went away and hasn't happened again. Paypal ran pretty well for a while but in the last week I've had 4 failed/incomplete orders.
  21. Well, without me changing anything, the duplicates seem to have stopped. However, I had another failed order, which I didn't have any when the duplicates were happening. I'm going to enable both PDT and IPN like you did and see if that helps. I think Paypal servers are glitchy though. They're probably a huge target for DDOS and various attacks.
  22. I'm in Winter Park, which is in the Orlando area, so we just lost power with a lot of tree trash to clean up. As long as a tree doesn't fall on the house, we're good and we didn't have any damage. However, there are people still without power. It wasn't nearly as bad fof us as in 2004 when Charley came through for my area, but pretty bad for the state. Winter Park has about 25k trees and there were only about 300+ down for Irma. For Charley, there were 8,000 trees down and it was a mess for many months. I used to live in Cape Coral near Naples and that house I'm sure went under water. The way the power companies help each other is how life should be. Those linemen work their ass off and deserve the money they make. It's a lot of hours for the. It doesn't even freeze normally where I am. It was 80's in the house though with 80% humidity though with no power.
  23. I've noticed some days that the Paypal site is glitchy. My server is in Houston, but it didn't drown and I haven't had any problems other wise. A.net is near perfect for me. I was down Sun-Wed over here from Hurricane Irma.
  24. Thanks Dan, I'll try it that way and see if it solves it. My customer base likes using Paypal, but it's been problematic at times for me.
