  1. @wHiTeHaT The link is not valid Henry. Dan
  2. I think this is a great idea and probably something that needs to/should be built into the add-ons area to ensure all new add-ons have the basic information required to simplify the install/removal process. If you can get other developers on board beforehand that would definitely help in determining what is needed and how it can be improved. Good idea @piernas Dan
  3. @ArtcoInc Malcolm...I'm not certain. There are times when I'm under the impression that Gary is going to include it but other times when I don't think so. In any case it is really up to him. Hopefully it'll get included at some point. Dan
  4. @Demitry Demitry...good question. I couldn't remember so I went hunting....this code was only used with the alternative checkout option and therefore was moved to that module. Dan
  5. Humm.....let me just say that it might be a bit older than that. Dan
  6. Sorry I'm not running the same version of the PayPal APP, or Curl for that matter, so any test I can do won't be very relevant. Dan
  7. Based on your post above it looks like your version of cURL is not using the correct version of SSL which is why I was suggesting that you contact your host about updating it. Dan
  8. I'm not sure if you were asking a question or providing some information but if it's the former I think you need to contact your host about upgrading cURL. Dan
  9. Did you happen to back up the images before you changed them? If you did, you should be able to just upload them again. Dan
  10. I would have a look at how one of the images is currently set up in the database table...make note of that and then update it in the normal manner using your usual product page within the admin and see how it is handled, what changes are made to your database table and whether that solves your problem when you view it in the store...ie the error you are seeing goes away. If that works you can then edit the names using phpMyAdmin or by doing it one at a time in the usual manner using the product page. What you did sounds like something I might have done. Dan
  11. Did you change the image names in your products_image database? Dan
  12. @C1ta Is it the Responsive version and are you using the PayPal APP? See this thread regarding the hosted solution. It might help...there is reference to the Host Solution on page 8. John or Jack will likely chime in if post there. Dan
  13. @burt Gary I'm not certain how this is done, or if it is always done the same way, but based on the many posts I see on here and the occasional attack I've seen, I think that bots are often used to abuse these forms. I was hit twice recently via one of our out of stock add-ons and given how quickly the emails were generated it had to be accomplished using software. In response I added Jacks honeypot contribution and noted in the process that the action recorder could help with this too. If you limit how frequently the form can be used ie once every 15 minutes or once an hour or whatever that should certainly help. If someone is legitimately using the contract us form they are not likely going to submit it more then once. That would certainly slow the bots down if they could only send one message an hour. A human would soon tire of that too. Dan
  14. @C1ta You might want to provide a little more information....see this post on how to get the help you need. Dan
  15. If you are now using the latest version (in which Jack has already done this) this will no longer be an issue. Dan
  16. Looks like you could use the compatibility add on or change those constants to the actual file names. Dan
  17. @leatherdealer Flo....fyi...bumping is not permitted on the forums. Please refer to the guidelines and in particular item 3. under Posting. It is also not appropriate to 'like' posts hoping someone will visit the forum. Dan
  18. I'm sure Tom will clarify but I think his point is that smarter bots, or perhaps AI bots, might be programmed to recognize traps like that, where the names were so obvious, and might skip the input. An interesting point and one that might become obvious over time ie. you'll know about it. Dan
  19. Did you try installing the PayPal App? Dan
  20. Very nice John...I just installed it on a site running on the GOLD version. It was a pretty easy install and does exactly what you described above. It will certainly bring some organization to those category pages where the products seemed to be listed randomly. It is definitely a must have add-on and one that I'll be using on an ongoing basis. Well done! Dan
  21. I haven't read through it recently but there is a PayPay APP guide here that might help. Dan
  22. I think I'm using a real hacked up version of this on a responsive version of osC. I use a double opted in subscription routine so I don't have this issue but you can probably add some thing like Jack's new HoneyPot Captcha add-on to prevent bots from subscribing. I think you'll find his code to be fairly easy to add to most forms. If you are interested in taking a look you'll find it here. Dan
  23. With this add-on or MailChimp? What are you looking for a solution to? Dan
  24. I was thinking the same thing but your module makes it easy to take things a step further. Thanks for taking the time to both develop and contribute it to the community. Dan
