  1. Not yet. I would love to have the UPS code. I just started a new project and would like the client to pay a retainer fee... the gift voucher in this case will be the equivelent of purchasing 8 hours of my time :D
  2. i wonder if the old 3.2 ot_gv.php is compatible with the new GV 4.0...
  3. What would happen if we turned all shipping options off? Like in the case for services only? I'd like to use the Gift Voucher to sell not only gift certificates but support contracts, consultation time, upgrade and maintainance services, etc...
  4. Hi Ian, Has there been any progress made to allow people to purchase Gift Vouchers without being charged for shipping in the new release? If this can be accomplished already without modifying the Gift Voucher contrib I would love to know how. I've set weight to 0 but this doesn't work. Maybe it's a bug with OSC? I see a few people have been able to do this. I got some code from Kim Elliott that you wrote to accomplish this for an older snapshot in shopping_cart.php and table.php. If I could extract the code could it be applied to disable UPS, other shipping methods and work for newer snapshots? http://www.bird-e-toys.com/osc/catalog/def...lt.php?cPath=74
  5. That might be a bit problematic at the moment. I upgraded Ian's release to current cvs and had to drop some of the contribs in admin/categories.php due to conflicts with the new cvs commits. At the rate things are moving in cvs I'm going to lay low for a couple of weeks until the smoke clears
  6. I never checked our cookie output before. We use PostNuke for content management and I see it generates a session number in cookies. Is this what's throwing off google bots in OSC? The PostNuke session ID never seemed to affect our indexing status with google.com in the past. I just added Ian's session remover code to be on the safe side. Since we use PayPal to process all orders cookies have to be enabled so the search engine safe URL option will not affect us. Need to post a comment at the sign in page to have "cookies enabled". Here's what our cookie file looks like now with both oscommerce (Ian's code added) and PostNuke data: www.mountainwatersspa.com FALSE /catalog FALSE 1040913873 email_address greg%40mountainwatersspa.com www.mountainwatersspa.com FALSE /catalog FALSE 1040913875 first_name Gregory .www.mountainwatersspa.com TRUE / FALSE 1038926728 POSTNUKESID 088c8254e59c0586633edfbe38fd0515
  7. Thanks for bringing me up to date. This really helps :) I suppose I can live with trade off of functionality for search engine indexing for a little while. It's very important to get our new catalog indexed. Our web site is already well indexed on google.com. I'll use Ian Wilson's fix until a better solution is implemented. Warm Regards, Greg
  8. What about using Search-Engine Safe URLs option to strip the sid out of the pages? It seems to work fine... no sid in the code that I can see. http://www.mountainwatersspa.com/catalog Anyone know when this feature was implimented. I found it by surprise in a 101402 snapshot. I was so excited to see that it worked.
