where is the template for the product descriptions located? is there a blank one that can be viewed as an example of how to set up that template?

i have a quick question, i think this is more related to OSc than STS, if im posting this in the wrong area please let me know where would be appropriate. how do you change what is displayed on the main page? right now it shows the "whats new here" header, with an icon, the "welcome guest" login text, and the small text i modified for in the php file. it also displays the "new products for the month" box. but how do i change the overall style? what if i dont want that box to be displayed like that, can i change its style and title? if so, how? also, is there some way to turn off the icons being displayed in the headers? thanks! aha! thank you! now i get it, but i have 1 more question that i dont know if its related to sts or osc itself: how do i change the style sheet, where the headernavigation class is? thank you again!

PLEASE HELP! is there any place that i can find a simple tutorial that explains how to set up a template from scratch? i know html and have the page design, i just dont know how to set up the code for the links, or how to modify the look of the boxes to fit the template style. i know this is supposed to be simple, but i'm totally lost. please, any help you could provide that points me in the right direction would truly be very appreciated, ive been banging my head against this wall for too long.

the link i saw just brings me back to to the sts thread in this forum, am i missing it? that thread is huge, i dont seem to see what i'm looking for but i cant say ive been able to go thru all of it. what do you mean you included a blank template in the test folder? what test folder? i'm still very confused, isnt this supposed to be "simple"? ;)

seriously, i cant find any info on this! doesnt ANYONE know of a tutorial or something that can walk people new to STS thru creating a simple template?

hi all, i'm new to using OSC and STS, i was hoping someone could help me out or at least point me in a direction. below is a comp of a site im working on for a friend, its to sell crafts. here are the questions i have: 1) how do i set up the links at the top? is there some way to hard-code the links for those buttons, or maybe some way to modify the category box code to display like that? 2) what about changing the look of the infoboxes i want to display? is there a template i need to modify that handles those? does anyone maybe have a tutorial for making templates for STS from scratch? any and all help would really be appreciated, thanks! hi all, i'm new both to osC and STS, so please bear with me. i'm having trouble installing sts, i followed the installation directions however when i go to the index page i get the following error at the top of the page: // START STS 4.1 '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_MODULES, 'set=sts', 'NONSSL') . '" class="menuBoxContentLink">' . BOX_MODULES_STS . '</a><br>' . // END STS 4.1 i also get a whole bunch of errors involving the footer.php file at the bottom. i dont know what exactly i did wrong, is there maybe a more verbose step-by-step tutorial out there someone could recommend for getting a new install up and running? any and all help would really be great, thanks!
