    Feedmachine

    Hi, I'm trying to add the manufacturer name to the start of the item name in my feed. So, instead of just "cornflakes" the item name will read "Kellog's cornflakes". I image this is a pretty simple edit to feedmachne_config.php, but can't seem to make it work. Can anybody help please?

    Happy to help, but you're going to have to be more specific with your question. What is it you're trying to do? RC
  3. Hi, I'm running a tools and hardware shop and many of the items I'm shipping are fragile, have irregular shapes or have some other peculiarity. This is fine for domestic shipping (I've just set up a lot of complex rules) but international shipping is proving next to impossible - there are just too many variables. What I'd ideally like to achieve is an ad-hoc shipping process which goes like this: Shopping Cart -> Select Shipping Method -> As the customer's address is overseas, the only option available is "request quote" and their order is stored for processing Shipping is calculated manually -> Using the Order Editor contrib, or similar, an ad-hoc shipping cost is added to the customer's order. The customer recieves an email notification that their order is ready to be processed Select Payment Method -> The customer is able to return to their updated order and complete their payment. Can anybody think of a crafty way round this, another contrib which can be repurposed, or even offer a pointer in the right direction? NB - The "Request Quote" contrib is part way there, but requires payment to be processed manually, outside the website. Any ideas would be very gratefully received. RC
  4. Never mind - figured it out!
  5. Hi, I've seen a couple of older posts on a similar topic, but nobody seems to have posted a solution yet. I'm trying to display the manufacturer, along with the product name on the product_info.php pages. So, the URL would read: /manufacturer-productname-p-123.html?... I think I've narrowed it down to the parse_parameters function in seo.class.php, but can find a way to call the make_url function which includes both product and manufacturer info. A snippet of relevant code pasted below, to show you what I mean... function parse_parameters($page, $params, &$separator){ $p = @explode('&', $params); krsort($p); $container = array(); foreach ($p as $index => $valuepair){ $p2 = @explode('=', $valuepair); switch ($p2[0]){ case 'products_id': switch(true){ case ( $page == FILENAME_PRODUCT_INFO && !$this->is_attribute_string($p2[1]) ): $url = $this->make_url($page, $this->get_product_name($p2[1]), $p2[0], $p2[1], '.html', $separator); $this->ValidateName($url, "p", $p2[1], $connection, $separator); break; case ( $page == FILENAME_PRODUCT_REVIEWS ): $url = $this->make_url($page, $this->get_product_name($p2[1]), 'products_id_review', $p2[1], '.html', $separator); $this->ValidateName($url, "pr", $p2[1], $connection, $separator); break; case ( $page == FILENAME_PRODUCT_REVIEWS_INFO ): $url = $this->make_url($page, $this->get_product_name($p2[1]), 'products_id_review_info', $p2[1], '.html', $separator); $this->ValidateName($url, "pw", $p2[1], $connection, $separator); break; default: $container[$p2[0]] = $p2[1]; break; } # end switch break; case 'cPath': switch(true){ case ($page == FILENAME_DEFAULT): $url = $this->make_url($page, $this->get_category_name($p2[1]), $p2[0], $p2[1], '.html', $separator); $this->ValidateName($url, "c", $p2[1], $connection, $separator); break; case ( !$this->is_product_string($params) ): if ( $this->attributes['SEO_ADD_CPATH_TO_PRODUCT_URLS'] == 'true' ){ $container[$p2[0]] = $p2[1]; } break; default: $container[$p2[0]] = $p2[1]; break; } # end switch break; case 'manufacturers_id': switch(true){ case ($page == FILENAME_DEFAULT && !$this->is_cPath_string($params) && !$this->is_product_string($params) ): $url = $this->make_url($page, $this->get_manufacturer_name($p2[1]), $p2[0], $p2[1], '.html', $separator); $this->ValidateName($url, "m", $p2[1], $connection, $separator); break; case ($page == FILENAME_PRODUCT_INFO): break; default: $container[$p2[0]] = $p2[1]; break; } # end switch break; Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks.

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

    Is anybody using Google Analytics ecommerce with this contrib? If so, could you tell me where the GA code blocks go? Ta.

    Does IPN need SSL to work properly? I still can't get my order status to update.

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

    Hi Crownbrown. Probably an obvious question, but did you enable the Paypal module after installing it? I think it's disabled by default. If not, go to the modules admin section, click on Paypal, click 'edit' and the enable/disable switch is right at the top. If that doesn't do it, make sure not restricting it by zone / currency (also in the 'edit' dialogue). Any use?

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

    Hi, I'm having terrible trouble completing transactions with this module. Everything seems to go fine, but when Paylpal has finished and passed the customer back to my site, the order status isn't getting updated, no confirmation emails are being sent and the stock level isn't amended. I've checked the permissions and locations of ipn.php and paypal_ipn and both seem fine. No debug emails either, so presumably it's all valid. I've also read over several threads involving people with a similar problem, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions would be very gratefully received. Apologies in advance if there's already an answer to this and I haven't been able to find it. Richard (PaypalIPN 2.1.0.0 OsCommerce 2.2 MS2)

    Actual Attribute Price V1.0

    Hi, Finding this contrib very useful indeed, but would like to make one (hopefully) quite small change to speed things up for myself. Is there any way to make the "value price" gross (including tax) rather than net (pre-tax)? All my pricing is tax-inclusive, so I'm currently having to use a calculator to figure the net value of each attribute. Can anybody point me in the right direction please? Thanks very much in advance. Richard

    Amended module values not being saved - help!

    That got it - thanks. I had tried using the forum search, but that was useless. Will remember to use Google first next time.
  12. Hi, Every time I try to change a value in a payment module (or a shipping module for that matter) through the admin interface and click "update", my changes are lost. No error message, no suggestion anything might have gone wrong, the changes just don't go in. Adding / changing things in the catalog is fine. Really quite baffled. It's worked fine before. ANY suggestions very gratefully received. Thanks in advance. Richard
