  1. If you have not changed anything then you should check with your host company to see if they have changed anything on their end with your server like apache or php
  2. Hi Tim, It has been a while since I did mine, but I think you need to convert old 2.2 database to 2.3.4, then use that other info to get it to BS. Check out this link for what to do first. Remember to have a backup copy saved somewhere of original DB just in case!!! http://forums.oscommerce.com/topic/407712-script-co-copy-data-from-22-to-234-database/
  3. Hi Tim, I will concur with Rainer from what I know go with the version 2.3.4BS Edge which can be downloaded at the following link: https://github.com/gburton/osCommerce-234-bootstrap/archive/master.zip The newer version is coming, but I do not think quite ready yet and if I understand correctly there will be a way to upgrade to the newest from 2.3.4BS when the time comes.
  4. I would say Jack gave a very good response for your question. The only thing I think more to add would be with the PayPal Payments Pro (Direct Payment) - $30/month you get the virtual terminal ability which means you will be able to log into their website and process payments if you take a phone order and such, but if not I would say try the Hosted Solution and see how it goes for the customer to stay on your website if that it what you would prefer and you can always upgrade to the other if needed.
  5. Just confirming if I am downloading the new 2.4 version for to start fresh, is this the correct fileset with everything up until today then at this location?? https://github.com/osCommerce/oscommerce2
  6. Hi, I am not 100% sure on this, but believe this is how to do it. Please make back up of any files you change or plan to overwrite before doing anything! In order to also set up your main domain to use a subdirectory on your hosting account you will need to set up a redirect in the .htaccess file in the public_html folder so that the server knows that any request for your main domain will be redirected to a subdirectory on public_html. Modifying the .htaccess The following code will need to be added to the .htaccess file in the public_html folder of your hosting account. You will need to insert the following code block and make modifications as noted in the (#) comments. You will need to change the two instances of example.com to your domain, and the three instances of subdirectory to the folder where you want your site. # .htaccess main domain to subdirectory redirect # Do not change this line. RewriteEngine on # Change example.com to be your main domain. RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www.)?example.com$ # Change 'subdirectory' to be the directory you will use for your main domain. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/subdirectory/ # Don't change the following two lines. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d # Change 'subdirectory' to be the directory you will use for your main domain. RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /subdirectory/$1 # Change example.com to be your main domain again. # Change 'subdirectory' to be the directory you will use for your main domain # followed by / then the main file for your site, index.php, index.html, etc. RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www.)?example.com$ RewriteRule ^(/)?$ subdirectory/index.php [L] Visitors to your Web site will not be able to tell that your main domain is using a subdirectory, they will still see the Web site address as http://www.example.com/page.html.
  7. Hi Andre, Like has been stated, your old database is most likely modified from the template you had installed. I would suggest to compare the table components for the customers info and products that you want to keep from old database to weed out those from template that are the issue causing errors. Of course make Back Up of all files somewhere safe before making any changes! If you set up a new 2.3.4 BS website and let it fill in the database with the demo info you will then be able to take that new database and compare the tables of the things you need brought over to make sure that there is no extra columns, etc that were added for the template you installed on old one.
  8. Hi @@upaulc If you have not done a lot of modifications on your site it would be best to install a fresh file set of the 2.3.4 BS version and upgrade old database with your info to use. Of course do a full backup of all current site files and database and keep in safe place just in case:) here is link to latest fileset if interested: https://github.com/gburton/osCommerce-234-bootstrap/archive/master.zip
  9. @@HouseArrest Just wondering how far along in this website you are? If you are just getting started, then perhaps you may consider to install a fresh Osc code file set for a clean slate? I would highly recommend using the 2.3.4 BS version at this time.
  10. Hi @@RobReynolds I believe you need to go into your "includes/configure.php file and put the correct url in as follows: define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.yourwebsitename.com'); define('ENABLE_SSL', true); This is under your catalog side, NOT admin as there is a configure.php file in admin/includes as well, so be careful and Backup your files! First - Make a Backup! then change configure.php file and try it.
  11. Does it look like this: https://demo.oscommerce.com/ or this? http://template.me.uk/234bs3//index.php
  12. I have not used this addon before, but I just downloaded the files to see what it involves. I do not see this particular file anywhere in the addon or my site files either, so not know what it is for: includes/modules/boxes/h_shopping_cart.php Did you add that file for another addon perhaps?
  13. Hi Michelle, What version Oscommerce are you using and what exact addon did you try to install? Is it this one? http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/716
  14. @@LeeFoster Check out this thread http://forums.oscommerce.com/topic/409294-addon-options-with-images-module-for-modular-product-page-responsive/
  15. @@ChristaMJ Hi Christa, I believe you should be able to use the Grid View Module in admin for that. Check in your Admin --> Modules --> Header Tags and see if you have the Grid List Javascript module available there and turn it on! You can chose what other pages you want the grid list to show in there as well.
