  1. Receiving the following on regular account creation. Double checked my 14a, 14b, and 14c instructions and they match the install instructions.

    1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '1,1' at line 1

    insert into customers_info (customers_info_id, customers_info_number_of_logons, customers_info_date_account_created, valid_address, personal_details_valid) values ('3', '0', now()),1,1

    Code that was used on create_account.php:

    // social login start

    tep_db_query("insert into " . TABLE_CUSTOMERS_INFO . " (customers_info_id, customers_info_number_of_logons, customers_info_date_account_created, valid_address, personal_details_valid) values ('" . (int)$customer_id . "', '0', now()),1,1");

    // social login end

    Facebook and Google logins both work. Thank you for the contribution!

  2. I downloaded and installed this contribution without any problems. :thumbsup:

    Does anyone know how to limit what products get included in the feed? Say, I just want to include 2 out of 3 categories, is it possible to exclude the third category? If so, what file(s) should we look at?

  3. It appears to be halting at tep_hide_session_id(). That would indicate that you are trying to use this on a version of osCommerce older than 2.2RC1. tep_hide_session_id() is in the osCommerce code from RC1 on. You can get a copy from the current distribution and install it.

    In any case, I strongly recommend that you update to RC2a due to the number of security fixes. That is in addition to the security precautions detailed elsewhere on the forum, of course.

    Regards

    Jim

    Jim,

    My hosting provider included the package with my hosting account. It looks like they install version 2.2ms2. I'm going to assume that this is prior to the RC versions and begin the process of upgrading. *sigh*

    Thanks,

    Doug

  4. Jim -

    I sat down last night to start going through everything, and while my Admin panel loaded and I could access the Products Specifications in the configure tab, I could not access it in the Catalog tab. I also cannot access Categories/Products in the Catalog tab. On both, the file stops short at the same line...

    For products specifications, the address bar reads /myadminfoldername/products_specifications.php?........ and it ends at:

    <!-- body_text //-->
       <td width="100%" valign="top">
       <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">

           <td><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
             <tr>
               <td class="pageHeading">Groups</td>
               <td class="pageHeading" align="right"><img src="images/pixel_trans.gif" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="40"></td>
               <td align="right"><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

    And the Categories / Products loads the same way and ends at the same line:

    <!-- body_text //-->

    Any ideas on where I might have gone wrong? Im not able to locate anything in "beyond compare" and I looked for any files I may have missed when I FTP'd the new files via FileZilla. The catalog side works great by the way. Those that I let "peak" at the site really like the look of your add.

  5. Jim,

    Thanks for the heads up. The error was definitely where you said it would be... From my script guy...

    "In the admin/includes/boxes/catalog.php file, when the array statement for the product specifications link was added, the " ); " from the more_catagories statement should have been replaced with " <br>' . " The " ); " in the more_catagories statement was throwing the error. Once I replaced it with the " <br>' . " the admin was working."

    Thanks again..

    Doug

  6. This code doesn't make any changes to the Configuration box. That's all automatically generated from the database anyway. It sounds like you may have messed up your database. Check the configuration_group and configuration tables for errors or conflicts.

    Regards

    Jim

    I pulled up both tables in myphpadmin and under maintenance checked both tables and they check out OK. My script guy did a "view source" from the Admin panel and he says it looks like the script stops short for some reason.

    Here is what I see:

    admin_panel.jpg

    Below is the code from the "view source". Note I changed my domain name, admin folder name, and OSCADMINID number in case that could be used against me...

  7. Sorry about the repost, but I realized I posted this on the "old" message thread....

    I installed this contribution last night. At first, my catalog did not display correctly, but then we found a stray </table> in the stylesheet (likely my own error).

    When I logged into my admin side however, nothing shows up except the configuration box. Clicking the links inside the configuration box does nothing. The last item listed in the configuration box is products specifications, but again all links do notyhing.

    I have all of my files backed up and I used "Beyond Compare 3" to see if I did not "copy" over this code properly. I did not notice anything right away other than two other contributions I have installed which are Easy Populate and More Category Boxes.

    Thoughts?

    Doug

  9. Disregard, thanks to Peter's advice, I went back and downloaded the English version of the file and uploaded both categories_more.php files and the error went away.

    Well I thought things were great. I am not getting any errors, but my new boxes do not show up on the site at all. I can toggle the default category box on and off with true/false. I can also use the program under the catalog. I have named 3 boxes and clicked the "enable" radio button and selected several categories for each. Even after clicking "update", I do not see the new boxes on the site.

  10. I believe I screwed up my install, though the instructions seemed pretty straightforward. I am not a programmer, so keep your responses simple please. After modifying my files and then importing the sql file, I logged into my admin and went to "more categories" under the catalog tab and go this error:

    1146 - Table 'chipzonecatalog.categories_more_languages' doesn't exist

    select * from categories_more, categories_more_languages where enabled = 1 and languages_id = '1' and box_id_language= '1'

    [TEP STOP]

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  12. @shuffled: You must apply all changes found in the contribution.

    Brian,

    I applied the one code correction and my test went through. I had a friend of mine on his computer do a test with his card and it processed fine. Im assuming I am ok now. 111 pages in here and without knowing code, its hard to decipher what it is I do and do not need besides having done everything listed in the install guide.

    Thanks for the addon! Its a lifesaver for someone like myself with no coding experience.

    Doug

  13. Apply the fix in the checkout_process.php file.

    Brian,

    Thank you for the response & the program. Im sure Im going to enjoy it once I figure things out!

    Were you referring to this fix:

    require(DIR_WS_CLASSES . 'order_total.php');

    $order_total_modules = new order_total;

    $order_totals = $order_total_modules->process();

    // load the before_process function from the payment modules

    $payment_modules->before_process();

    Thank you

  14. I set everything up (I thought) to directions. I ran the WPP_Diagnostics program and results were:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    I ran a test transaction with my wife's card on a test product I set up for $1. I had the following error returned to me on the site:

    Anyone have a similar problem? Im sure I missed something on the install, but Im a newbie so what did you expect. This is my first run at any sort of script or programming.

    Thanks,

    Doug

  15. Doug,

    Yes, the default name that osC uses for the root of the web shop is /catalog/. Since your shop uses /store/, keep this in mind when installing contributions. Most will refer to the root directory as /catalog/.

    When following installation instructions, just do a mental replacement of /catalog/ with /store/ and you should be fine.

    --Glen

    Thank you Glen for your help.

  16. NEWBIE Assistance (be gentle)-

    I have been able to follow along most of the way through threads to fix other issues I was having, figured I can do the same here but I am unable to even start this one.

    I have my API certificate, account, blah blah from Paypal. I downloaded .9 from the contributions page. On the installation instructions it says to copy files & directories over and they are all in a folder called /catalog/.

    I do not have a /catalog/ folder as some other posts have indicated I should. Is this actually just my store root directory or should there be another folder called catalog?

    my structure is as follows:

    public_html/store/ which has the following folders:

    /admin/

    /cgi-bin/

    /download/

    /images/

    /includes/

    /pub/

    and then a list of files.

    I am guessing that my /store/ folder is the equivilant to the /catalog/ folder?

    Thanks

    Doug
