Looks like I found the appropriate support thread for this
USPS redesigned the Click and Ship pages completely over the weekend...has anyone confirmed issues as well?

I believe they have zero regard on how it impacts everyone. :(
It looks like the pages have changed and the field names. Why would they do that?
krdito- that information isnt entered on USPS.com when you click to create a label, that is your existing USPS_ship.php page that populates and sends it to USPS (or what used to be there)

The solution is:
0.- Search "usps shipping labels" in contributions resulting in http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1498
It looks like this is now broken with the USPS Click and Ship Redesign :(
Anyone get it to work again?

After being on the phone with USPS, it looks like that their last "update" messed with the priority mail confirmation #s
You must add the numbers "94" in front of the priority confirmation #s to get the # to work on USPS.com
Hopefully this will help save the headache of wondering what is going on.

goto your osc Admin->Configuration->SEO URLs->Output W3C valid URLs and set the switch to "false"

I have been using this contribution for a month + and it has been great. My only concern is any error messages on the checkout_payment.php page are not displayed because of the additional "amp;"s displaying within the URL error string
(You basically get )
When you turn off SEO URLs it works fine.....
Does anyone happen to know what can be tweaked? Ive gone through all the contirbutions and all my file comparisons of seoclass checkout ok?

Down for me as well :angry: seemed to be fine until about 4PM eastern for me...glad I saw this thread, I was going crazy trying to figure out what was going on.
I turned USPS to False and enabled "Flat Rate" = $5.00 as a temporary solution. Hopefully I wont get any orders that require me to eat a large shipping charge.
Im kicking myself right now because I thought they were closed, but the email that they had sent the API credentials in had their # and it stated open from 7:00 AM to 11:00PM , it has been down since 4 then that is simply sad that they have not brought it back up.

I was looking at integrating this gateway and I cant seem to find that many discussions on it. I am debating between Authorize.net and this. Anyone have any pros and cons for both? :blink:

i have just installed this over a clean osc, everything seems fine in the backend and the index.php loeads fine with no errors, but when i click a link to a cat or a product such as
hardware-c-1.html or the-matrix-p-6.html i get a 404 page not found error. i have mod rewrite enabled on my server and am ruunning other instals of osc with no problems.
also is there a way to get rid of the p-6 bit? and i would alos like to install STS template system with this, would you install this first or STS?
any help would be great.

Same here the c-6.html etc...removal would be great, (although Im still hoping someone would have some insight on changes the pages it serves from hypens in between the words to underscores instead :(

What I forgot to post is that I tried to do in in special characters
char=>conv
=>_
Where a space is before the"=" but it only strips the category names in the html file it spits out... so it doesnt really do what I am intending.

Does anyone know how you can tweak this hack to display an underscore between words in the SEO url instead of hypens?
for example
/product-name-here.html
would be
/product_name_here.html

The way the contribution works is different. They have altered the way the fields are populated on their site (which the contribution recreated) and then sent to USPS via that web page.
The "contact your 3rd party vendor" is their standard response unfortunately.
The contribution will no longer function with this USPS redesign
