    PayPal Express Checkout and Shipping

I've have at least figured out why... I posted this in the shipping module area, and am cross posting it here, as this is a Paypal problem. "OK, I have found the issue. I have two modules, Paypal credit/debit, Paypal standard (not the new one). In the credit/debit, I have "force shipping address" on. If the customer uses this one, the correct shipping amount is included in the price sent to Paypal. With the paypal standard there is no option to set this. As a result, for whatever reason, and this is Paypal's fault, this information is not acknowledge by Paypal, and the customer has to enter their zip code again at the top of the Paypal page and Paypal then calculates the shipping, which is always $0. As a result, there is a conflict between what Paypal attempts to charge and what oscommerce expects to be paid. I am going to attempt to install the newest, fancy Paypal module and see if this fixes the issue, but in the meantime, the only option is to turn off the one Paypal module and keep the credit/debit payment module active with the "force shipping address" selection on."

  3. I am having the same problem, but only for some customers. I believe it has to do with the paypal module, and the settings within the admin panel. For example, force shipping address in the credit/debit for Paypal IPN I had set to false, and have now set to true. I am hoping this is the issue - this is the module the customer used according to the customer order details.

    [Contribution] Option Types v2

    Here's some additional detail. Weird behavior! But I think I have the fix. First: mysql> select products_options_id, products_options_name, products_options_order from products_options order by products_options_order asc; +---------------------+-----------------------+------------------------+ | products_options_id | products_options_name | products_options_order | +---------------------+-----------------------+------------------------+ | 1 | First Name | 0 | | 2 | Last Name | 1 | | 11 | Medications | 10 | | 13 | Blood type | 11 | | 14 | Identifying Marks | 12 | | 15 | School | 13 | | 16 | Grade | 14 | | 17 | Bus | 15 | | 18 | Additional Notes | 16 | | 19 | Weight | 17 | | 3 | Age | 2 | | 4 | Birth Date | 3 | | 5 | Male | 4 | | 6 | Female | 5 | | 7 | Hair Color | 6 | | 8 | Eye Color | 7 | | 9 | Height | 8 | | 10 | Allergies | 9 | +---------------------+-----------------------+------------------------+ 18 rows in set (0.00 sec) mysql> This is the typical characteristic of a character field, instead of an int() field. So, I did an alter table: mysql> alter table products_options modify products_options_order int(2); Now it works right: mysql> select products_options_id, products_options_name, products_options_order from products_options order by products_options_order asc; +---------------------+-----------------------+------------------------+ | products_options_id | products_options_name | products_options_order | +---------------------+-----------------------+------------------------+ | 1 | First Name | 0 | | 2 | Last Name | 1 | | 3 | Age | 2 | | 4 | Birth Date | 3 | | 5 | Male | 4 | | 6 | Female | 5 | | 7 | Hair Color | 6 | | 8 | Eye Color | 7 | | 9 | Height | 8 | | 10 | Allergies | 9 | | 11 | Medications | 10 | | 13 | Blood type | 11 | | 14 | Identifying Marks | 12 | | 15 | School | 13 | | 16 | Grade | 14 | | 17 | Bus | 15 | | 18 | Additional Notes | 16 | | 19 | Weight | 17 | +---------------------+-----------------------+------------------------+ 18 rows in set (0.00 sec) mysql>

    [Contribution] Option Types v2

Yes, I know that: ID, Option Name, Option Type, Sort Order, Value Length, Comment are the fields. I did actually read and search through many of these pages, as I actually screwed up the install the first time around, and had to restart. I'm thinking that I mistyped somewhere else. I used to code in php, and still occasionally, and I know my way around code in general, so this is puzzling to me. When I do a "select * from products_options" the field appears to be "products_options_order", but the result, from the user's perspective, doesn't match what's in the table.

Greetings Zappo - First, thanks for putting together a great package! I did a clean install and got everything working fine. I have one issue, which is that the sort order doesn't appear to be working. I've deleted and re-added, and re-set the sort order, but the user sees things out of order. The order given isn't alphabetical. I've logged off/logged on, no difference. Any idea what I might have missed? Thanks again! AD7

Not sure what happened, folks, but I fixed the above by starting from scratch. Ouch! But it worked. AD7

    Customizing Product

Greetings folks - I have a person whom I'm building a store for, whose product as things like name tags. So, the store needs to have products, and these products need to have fields that the *customer* can enter data into, with which to customize their particular product (tags, cups, shirts, etc.). I know there is a contribution called Product Extra Fields, but that doesn't appear to allow the customer to provide any information themselves. This store's customers need to be able to enter a variety of data, not just one entry. The "customer extra fields" contribution doesn't work either, as the info will vary depending upon the product. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks much, AD7

    Customers extra fields

Greetings all - This is a great contribution, and I was to say thanks first. Apparently, I fat-fingered something, and I just can't track it down. I've gone through all of the pages in this thread, though perhaps I missed it, but I'm getting the following error now upon attempting to create a new account: Your First Name must contain a minimum of 2 characters. Error Your Last Name must contain a minimum of 2 characters. Error Your E-Mail Address must contain a minimum of 6 characters. Error Your Street Address must contain a minimum of 5 characters. Error Your Post Code must contain a minimum of 4 characters. Error Your City must contain a minimum of 3 characters. Error Your State must contain a minimum of 2 characters. Error Your Telephone Number must contain a minimum of 3 characters. Error Your Password must contain a minimum of 5 characters. I've looked at the javascript file and attempted several things, but apparently that's not the issue. Any suggestions? TIA, AD7

    Choice of Free Gifts Module

I believe you are right. I've had the same questions, and have actually uninstalled just now everything out of admin, leaving only those two files into the /includes, and things are working just fine as far as seeing it in the admin control panel and being able to change the settings.

    [contribution] Simple Template System (sts)

Just curious but would this conflict with the InfoBox Admin contribution? I'm thinking it just might since it touches the info boxes.... Thanks!

    Seperate Pricing Per Customer v3.5

Nevermind my questions. I reverted for the time being. I clearly need the merge utility. The problem is that I only have a production server on which to work, so it's broken until the changes have been made and tested. Not a situation under my control.

    Seperate Pricing Per Customer v3.5

Greetings all - I have added this contribution onto an existing, working oscommerce website. I've been working through the various problems bit by bit. A few questions: 1) I've got this message: "Warning: Missing argument 1 for order() in E:\inetpub\vhosts\3guyscoffee.com\httpdocs\includes\classes\order.php on line 17" I've searched and searched and so far have come up with nothing. 2) Payment and shipping modules are now broken: " United Parcel Service United Parcel Service An error occured with the UPS shipping calculations. Missing ConsigneeCountry If you prefer to use UPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner. United States Postal Service United States Postal Service -2147219080 - Missing value for Country." I believe this is because the distribution overwrites some of the existing shipping module php files. The USPS missing value is odd, as there is no setting that I can find for that... Under Shipping/Packaging, the appropriate information has been set (just double-checked). 3) Under Customers, I have BOX_CUSTOMERS_GROUPS, and under that category I have TEXT_DISPLAY_NUMBER_OF_CUSTOMERS_GROUPS. This is confusing and perhaps I haven't dug into the instructions enough (there's a lot to digest), but I think something's wrong here. Thanks for any help you can give. I do have backups of both the html and database, but since I'm working with Plesk, this is ugly. I'm a command-line guy and hate guis, so restoring the database, well, it would take me a sec on the command-line...
