  1. We've got CCGV(trad) installed and working wonderfully on our development site. We've tried adding 2gether and run into some trouble. I'm just wondering if anyone has them both running successfully and if you have any pointers for us. Thanks.

Hey GemRock, I got it working sort of... I misplaced one line in my manual edit, which has been fixed... I am now seeing two odd behaviors. We created a gift voucher for free shipping and 50% off on all orders over $10. ( We just randomly chose those values. ) When we redeem the voucher, the shipping is accounted for but the 50% off is not applied. Is it possible to apply multiple discounts on a single coupon code? If not, is it possible to apply multiple coupon codes on a single order? The second problem is on the admin console. Under Vouchers/Coupons - Gift Voucher Queue I see the release and delete options but I am at a loss as to how to create a gift voucher... This one may be a RTFM type question but just how does one create a Gift Voucher? Specifically, we are looking to make it possible for customers to purchase a gift voucher for a friend. Thanks for your help. Quinton

Thanks GemRock, I got the initial problem worked out by doing a manual install (copy additional files and modify others etc...) but now I am having two additional problems ... on the payment screen in the checkout process I do not see any field for the coupon code... and in the admin modules section under payment I do not see the CCGV module. Is this like any other module that shoudl show up there as well? I'll have to go over it again and make sure that I didn't miss anything. Thanks, Quinton

Rhea, first of all, THANK YOU for taking this contribution under your wing to oversee some much needed developement. I wish I could have all the time back that I spent trying to get the other version working. Trad was so simle to install. I am, however, having a problem I'd like your feedback on. On our development server, I loaded a clean install of osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 Update 060817 using the update database option over a backup copy of our live database. All of our data (configuration, customer info, product details, etc.) was tested just short of a trial checkout and found to be working under the base install. We then applied the CCGV(trad) as per these instructions. We then created a trial coupon which we attempted to redeem. During the checkout process, on the Delivery Information page, after clicking on Continue, we encounter a loop back to the Delivery Information page. I realize you haven't had time to test with a brand new release, but can you think of any reason why the most recent osCommerce update would conflict with CCGV(trad)? Any help you might be able to offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Quinton

    Weight format for USPS

You need to have your USPS module configured for the production servers... I did this by entering my account information on the admin console window, then I contacted the usps support line and they moved my server to production and my problem was solved.... not sure why you are having problems after nine objects... hope this helps.. Weight format for USPS

Darkvader I may have a solution for you. We were running into problems with the USPS module rounding some shipping wieghts down and others were fine. after looking at the pattern and the code from catalog/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php I found the problem. I have found a way to eliminate the round down problem when products add up to any fraction of an oz. less than .5 the code in the USPS shipping module reads as follows // usps doesnt accept zero weight $shipping_weight = ($shipping_weight < 0.1 ? 0.1 : $shipping_weight); $shipping_pounds = floor ($shipping_weight); $shipping_ounces = round(16 * ($shipping_weight - floor($shipping_weight))); $this->_setWeight($shipping_pounds, $shipping_ounces); I changed mine to the following // usps doesnt accept zero weight $shipping_weight = ($shipping_weight < 0.1 ? 0.1 : $shipping_weight); $shipping_pounds = floor ($shipping_weight); $shipping_ounces = ceil(16 * ($shipping_weight - floor($shipping_weight))); $this->_setWeight($shipping_pounds, $shipping_ounces); The problem and fix are both in red. The round function under PHP does classic rounding (rounding anything from 1 to 4 down and anything from 5 to 9 up) while the ceil funcion takes any fraction to the next highest whole number (2.45 becomes 3) sort of the opposite of floor. Since the USPS rounds up any fraction of an ounce to the next highest ounce the appropriate solution would be to round up also. Hope this helps... Good Luck, Quinton
  10. Hello all, I need to assign different tare weights based on the shipping method used, specifically for the USPS module. Because of the products that we sell our packaging is very different between shipping methods. What I had in mind is adding a tare weight for first class, another tare weight for priority and a third tare weight for parcel post. I was just wondering if any one has attempted something like this before I try to write it on my own... I am fairly new to PHP and osCommerce but not to programming. If any one could point me in the right direction for the files that would need to be modified I would appreciate it. Is the present tare weight stored in the database or in a file? Any help would be appreciated.... Thank you, Quinton

    USPS Shipping error!!

:D I was facing the same problem with the USPS module... you need to contact the USPS customer service line, ask to be transfered to the web tools support line (they may just give you the number) and have them move your account to production. You then need to make sure that your module is configured for production in the admin tool. The problem that I am facing at the moment is that I would like to configure different tare weights for different shipping methods... Good Luck. Q.

    Weight format for USPS

This may be and odd question but I have been unable to find a definitive answer in the Knowledgebase or the forum. USPS requires that weight be entered in Lb and Oz. What format do I need to enter on the product details screen to get the correct weight. For example if I have a 1 Lb 3 Oz item do I enter it 1.1875 Lb or woudld it be 19 Oz. or would it be some other value like 1,3? I have been having problems with the USPS module and the cause seems to be the weight format that is being sent so I want to verify how to enter the weight. Thanks, Quinton
