  1. Hi,

    I Installed Article manager 1.4. I have STS 1.9 installed. I can't get the article title and header tags to show up. The titles and headers tags for all articles are being grabbed from article_header_tags.php, and it's the same for all the articles. I've looked so many places for a solution and i tried the one posted in this forum by jaxx. It Did not do it for me. Check link here. http://creatingbeauty.com/article_info.php?articles_id=2

    This article is titled as asdfadsfadsf. This should show up in the title of teh broswer so we can have a search engine freindly page.

    Thanks for you help.

  2. I installed STS 3.0. I noticed that when i view source for my index.php or any page that deals with sts 3.0 the following comments are embeded in the source code of the page.

    <!-- Page layout by Simple Template System (STS) v3.00 Beta 2 on osCommerce 2.2-MS2 - http://www.diamondsea.com/sts/ -->

    <!-- Using Template File [includes/sts_templates/mysite/sts_template.html) -->

    What file controls this. How can i remove it.

    ANYONE?

  4. Because 5.15a must contain code which adds the first check box, when it doesn't need to (in your case).

    I can't tell you much more than that at the moment, I'm working on a new release of CCGV, plus I didn't write 5.15a.

    But I do know that people were having trouble getting the check box to appear, which is why I think someone added another checkbox (the first one you see on the page).

    Which file contains the code for the check box. I can replace it with an older file and see if it works.

  5. HI,

    I installed theCredit Class & Gift Voucher 5.15a. Everything seems to be working correctly. When i get to the checkout_payment page, Nothing is displayed. I get a blank page. I tried to use the checkout_payment,.php from the previous versions and it seems to work. I want the features that is embedded with the new 5.15a and that why i want to get the new checkout_payment.php to work. What is causing the display of a blank page. Did anyone experience this problem. If yes what is the solution.

    Here is what i found in the view source of the blank page. The last line seems to point to an error.

  7. Login is not used. I know somebody who have this done. The shopping cart remains stored in cookies without the customer having to log in.

    I'm wondering how this could be done.

    The shopping cart details are in a table and are mapped against a customer id.

    So when the customer logs in then if he checks he will find those cart details.

    Is this want you want or is it something else.

  8. The custoemr adds a product to the shopping cart. He closes the browser and opens it back again. The products are still in the shopping cart. how can i accomplish that.

    PS: login is not used.

    Thanks

  11. Sounds like your a newbie to the program. Thier is no such thing as instant gratification. One you get the hang of it and know the ins and outs of oscomemrce, you'll start to enjoy it more and more everyday.

    I have just spent three days just getting an idea of where all of the files and various components of osCommerce actually are.

    The problem is, osCommerce is built in such a way that removing a component from all of the pages is like pulling teeth from an angry crocodile.

    All of the face pages have formatting, content, code, and a little bit of database interaction in the mix for fun.  To remove a single component from the entire system, such as for instance, the manufacturers bar, you have to exhaustively pour over every page in the package to find it, and then trial and error remove the bloody thing, and then figure out why parts of your page break that were seemingly unrelated.

    This problem is almost critical, as I'm almost to the point where I think I should just write the whole bloody thing myself.

    Instead, I have decided to attempt to reconstruct the components of osCommerce in a modular way that is readable and logically organized.  A mere attempt mind you, but I will try to do it without removing or modifying any of the existing content.

    I'm going to make it so that you can embed a component from osCommerce anywhere on any of your existing pages, and that the template site for osCommerce is just one such layout.  While I can see there is some sort of effort in this direction - the "box, includes, languages" folder layout - the division isn't anywhere near practical as all the files still contain bits of pieces of everything.
