    NEW: Anti Robot Registration Validation

Regarding my previous posts, my problem is solved and for the record: With help from husgom who created the contribution: Private Shop he suggested that the image processor file had to be included in the list of approved files to have the Anti Robot image displayed: if (strpos($PHP_SELF, "login.php") == 0 && strpos($PHP_SELF, "privacy.php") == 0 && strpos($PHP_SELF, "conditions.php") == 0 && strpos($PHP_SELF, "contact_us.php") == 0 && strpos($PHP_SELF, "create_account.php") == 0 && strpos($PHP_SELF, "validation_png.php") == 0) { if (!tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { $navigation->set_snapshot(); tep_redirect(tep_href_link(FILENAME_LOGIN, '', 'NONSSL')); } } and he was right! Just for the record, Ed

    NEW: Anti Robot Registration Validation

Here's my problem: I have installed the following code in application_top.php just before the last ?> as part of a Private site contribution. if (!tep_session_is_registered('customer_id')) { $navigation->set_snapshot(); tep_redirect(FILENAME_LOGIN); // tep_redirect(tep_href_link(FILENAME_LOGIN, '', 'SSL')); } This causes the Anti Robot registration graphic not to display. Specifically the tep_redirect function is causing it (when it is commented out, everything displays fine). Any suggestions on how to fix this would greatly be appreciated. Thanx, Ed

    Down for Maintenance v2.1?

For the record, The error is caused by the SQL trying to create a record in your table configuration_group is item 16 which ia already taken up. Change all instances in the SQL to 17 (or greater) which should solve this problem. Ed

    Event Calender

I am trying to modify my install of the Event Calendar, but I can't seem to find the tag to modify the current mnoth's name style. This is in the small calendar that is generated in the iFrame. I would simply like to move the month name about 10px right. Any suggestions or direction would be appreciated, Ed

    Event Calender

Hey Ruud: Not too sure why you don't see the standard preview/reset buttons at the bottom of the form. Is it just not finding the images, or are the links missing as well? I've been playing around with the format of this contribution to get it to blend in more with my site, but if you can let me know some more, I'll see if I can help. Ed

    JUST RELEASED! Printable Catalog

Just for the record: To get Printable Catalog V3.5 MS2 paginating properly, in catalog/catalog_products_with_images.php replace line 351 $limit = mysql_result(mysql_query("SELECT configuration_value from " . TABLE_CONFIGURATION . " WHERE configuration_key = 'PRODUCT_LIST_CATALOG_PERPAGE'"), 0 , 0); with $limit = PRODUCT_LIST_CATALOG_PERPAGE; and this will allow you to set the items per page in your admin menu. FYI: The catalog/catalog_products_with_images_full.php file is set tol display all products in your catalog, and can then be paginated when printed. This is a good contribution if your are looking for a simple way to display a printable, sortable catalog, with links to all products as well! Hope this helps someone, Ed

    [Contribution] Pollbooth v2.0

Hey Mitchell: Here's a better alternative that I used (I liked your idea  and added to my site! ) find in catalog/index.php around line 326 <td><?php include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); ); ?></td> and replace with: <td><?php include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); echo "<br>"; include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'polls.php'); ?></td> This will display both the new products and polls on your home page or <td><?php include(DIR_WS_BOXES . 'polls.php'); ?></td> This will just display the poll. *** You will have to replace the products_new.php with your original, in either case. *** Reason for change When I made my suggestion to you originally, I didn't know that when you go to a product category page, it also shows the new products for that month in that category! By changing the file name, your poll would show up there instead. This change however only shows your poll on the home (index) page and the new products everywhere else. Hope this helps! Ed

    [Contribution] Pollbooth v2.0

Here's a quick solution for you. rename the file catalog/includes/modules/new_products.php -> new_products_orig.php copy catalog/includes/boxes/polls.php -> catalog/includes/modules/ rename the file catalog/includes/modules/polls.php -> new_products.php upload changes to server That should give you a start. Just a note that you cannot have the poll running in the right or left column as well, as this will give you an error. If you want to have it running on other pages, you will have to modufy the code that places it in the column to check if it is on the page where the new_product.php is running and not have it run there. Hope this helps  Ed

    NEW: Anti Robot Registration Validation

Hey Alex, Any chance of adding this great contribution to the oscAffiliate registration? I just installed v2.5a of the affiliate contribution and after a bit of tinkering to fix a few bugs covered in the forums, it's working great! Now if I just had the security of Anti Robot Registration, life would be perfect  http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ons,158/page,41 Thanx, Ed

    OSC-Affiliate

Vger/Charly Not sure if I am following your category issue correclty, but I found that: define('FILENAME_AFFILIATE_VALIDCATS', 'affiliate_validcats.php'); was missing in admin > includes > affiliate_application_top.php Once defined, and categories included in banner design, they show up and the link brings you back to the correct category page on the web site. Ed
  14. I found the persisitent connections switch in admin/includes/configure.php Thanx anyway, Ed
  15. Hey Skittles: Thanx for taking the time to help me out here. I checked my general.php file in admin and yes, I had installed the supplemental code, but forgot to put step 4 from the install file. I had rebuilt my site recently from scratch, and in my haste to get back up and going, skipped the step. Anyway, put in the code, everything looks like it should now. On another point. Where is the switch for persistent connections. I think I may have selected this in this latest install, and read something about it causing a problem. Never looked to change it on an install before, so just wondering where it is. Thanx again, Ed
