    New install - can't access admin

    Well that won't help as it will just happen again. I wrote down the password originally, so I know that I was inputting the correct details. The error is not in the install process., so repeating it is pointless.

    Lost Admin Password

    I have just done a new install, and everything seems okay except I cannot log onto the admin. I have not yet set up htaccess. I tried the php admin reset password but not with any joy! Can anyone suggest why its not working? I live in an internet blackspot - could this be causing a problem - i.e not updated the password. If in the likelihood I ever manage to get access by changing my password through these methods how do I change it to a more secure one. Currently security is not an issue the site is New, nothing to see here! lol thank you
  3. My website was working fine, and I was happily listing away, when all of a sudden it stops working! I got an error every time I tried to save the listing. It turned out that it is when I load a picture file. I've tried everything and can't figure out why it won't work. Tried other pictures, re-done the picture. Tried uploaded the picture directly to the images file then clicking the browse, but still doesn't work. I can add a picture that is already on another listing (one I listed earlier!), but no new pictures since this occurred. I haven't changed anything on the site, and have contacted the host and they say they haven't changed anything. I am now completely unable to add any new pictures, so can't list, which is going to cause me major problems as I have a ton of new stock I need to get on the site to sell. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

    thank you. I haven't changed anything, but suddenly its working! It may be because I accidentally shut down safari, and re-loading it did some of what you just suggested. Thank you for the advice I will keep a screenshot of that for future reference (it never occurred to me that it was a browser issue!). Have a lovely day.

    Hi, Basket is still not emptying. I am wondering if my Worldpay module is perhaps out of date. Can you provide a link to the most current one, so I can compare the files, and take a look at my settings to see if they are correct or erroneous. Thank you

    Hi, I'm still having issues with this world pay module. When a customer orders it logs an order at my side, which I see, and process, and update as normal. (the cancel thing is still an issue but I simply check to make sure they paid - bit of a pain, but not the end of the world). What I have recently discovered is that it isn't logging an order for the customer. so The basket does not empty, the stock does not reduce, and the customer order history shows as NO order made - even though I see an order logged at my side. Any solutions? thank you Kellie

    Hi John, I copied the file from the newest install and it works okay, and seems to update the basket on a completed order. However, I have discovered if once I reach the payment page I press cancel, the order is still logged. This is not a major issue as I can simply check to see if payment actually was rec'd and cancel an order if it hasn't, but wondered why this was happening. thanks Kellie

    Hi MrPhil, I have no idea what all that meant! but hopefully you can help. I did the fix and its completely broken my site, so I need to unfix and find a better fix! This is what I did. I can't remember what order said before 'check' I think? so I presume I need to change the red bits that say order back again, and delete the two lines that have the plus. Currently the cart is loading up a blank page, and goodness knows what else is happening but it isn't working - zero sales today!! thank you

    Hi, I've been having this same problem, and so followed the instruction here and updated my code. Is that all I need to do? or do I need to remove and re-install the WorldPay module to make the code changes take effect? fingers crossed I haven't made an error and that it works!!

    Hi, John. I have applied to Worldpay and added the add on as above. I simply wet through all the files and overwrote any that were already existing and added any new ones, I presume that is correct. I'm now seeing this (don't recall there being the yellow box before) Does this look correct? I'm trying to get everything in place for when Worldpay set me up. As for Paypal settings, it may well be that I have something wrong, but some orders go through, some don't, some go through after clearly the customer as made numerous attempts - but of course, many will give up after the first 1 or two tries. I'm also considering inpay for bank transfers, but when I click through to their website cannot see any way to sign up - is this a method you'd recommend - im trying to cover all my bases here! thank you for your input, its very much appreciated.     My belief is really that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my site, the app, or any of the configurations. I really think it s a PayPal glitch, because sometimes orders go through, sometimes they don't. I have contacted to World Pay and will be giving that a go. Paypal customer services are a nightmare, so any other option can only be an improvement. I have returned to just having the paypal app on there and a couple of orders have come in (plus a lot of customers look like they have been looping too), so I guess I'll just have to hope it isn't long before WorldPay is up and running. In the meantime, can anyone tell me where the option for 'guest checkout' is changed. Mine is currently set up to force everyone to register on the site. Thank you The error message that is rep'd (and I had my partner try this from another location) is: Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later. and then the 'return to merchant' button.

    I'm absolutely desperate here! I set up Paypal Standard as I thought that might serve better. customer placed an order, says its all good - but no money came through to my Paypal! So obviously I've deleted that as an option. I need a reliable payment method, but I'm worried that it won't matter what I set up, its going to be a fail if this is some issue with my website rather than Paypal itself. Is there an easier alternative to Paypal that I can use for cards, or an automated way for Bank Transfer or even using my mobile phone to get payments. Any method needs to be automatic. Getting customers to pay after they have placed an order is always a lot of work, and rarely a success. Kellie

    This is so odd! I've gone through pages and pages - no RED bits! The odd customer managed to check out (the top one in the screen shot for example. But many are reporting that they get returned to the site, and I'm seeing the same names over and over again in the lists with their attempts (and fails) to checkout. PayPal App v5.018

    Ive downloaded the app, and I cannot open the README.md file so I'm already stuck for instructions (I'm using a Mac) But presuming I go through each file and overwrite what I already have, as I already had the app installed. Or do I first have to 'uninstall' my existing app. I'm a little concerned about the skill level involved here, as when I originally tried to install the first app I never managed to get it to work and got my website completely remade by a third party and I've never got on with my site since!

    No joy on this at all. Can anyone tell me what settings I should have on my paypal account. Rang Paypal, no help at all - they said they couldn't even get onto my website! Customers are shopping, adding to basket without problem, its only the checkout that is an issue. I'm wondering if I have any settings wrong. I have just changed my 'check-out' address to https (it was http), and put data transfer on.     I didn't look for errors, I just thought it was a slow week! and then got a couple of emails from people desperate for stuff. I guess people often just go away when things don't work and either come back later or go elsewhere. An order has just come through so I guess its working okay now, thank you

    Hi, I'm using the app. I added those last two parts of the certificate from the link above and then tested the SSL connection and it said passed, whereas previously it said failed, so I'm hopeful that means its now working. I just thought sales were down, but then a few people emailed saying they were having difficulty, so I will have to see if I have a better day today, unless there is any other way to check it for certain.

    Hi, I've been getting problems this week, I've found this info from Paypal, but will the above fix work for me? I have no idea how to update the buttons! re: Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later. After contacting PayPal support by email they told me this: We have recently upgraded our security certificate at PayPal. This has caused some PayPal buttons to stop working. Please re-create your button and copy and paste the new HTML code on to your website. This will resolve the issue. Re-creating the buttons fixed it.

    Credit Class & Gift Vouchers for 2.3.4

    Hi, I'm running this, and when I select the start end date for the voucher, the lack of available years is beginning to cause a problem. the drop down menu only allows a year selection from 2010 to 2018, can anyone tell me how I change this to essentially remove the earlier years and add some later ones, i'e so I can run the dates from present to 2021 at least. thanks
  23. Hi, This contribution looks perfect, but with 13 pages of comments/errors/updates I'm a little worried it might be too complicated for me! Essentially my site is already a mess due to the clumsy addition of a dresscode theme. Is this contribution difficult for a non-programmer to do, and is it likely to 'break' my live site if i do something wrong? Windows 10 has just 'updated' my pc, and resets my printer on a document to the last printer i used. I usually have one file open to copy/paste my label info to, whihc is then sent to a thermal printer (small labels), and my invoices go off to my brother A4 printer. Now if I have to change the printer setting each time to the one i want as it no-long saves the printer choice for the document. Hence the reason i need a batch printing method! thanks Kellie
  24. Hi, Pretty sure there isn't any admin switch. I used to remove the yellow paypal button and you do have to edit the code.

    Paypal Express Missing Address Line

    Scrap that! I did get this to work on a brand new unmodded install, but on my live website, which is now fully up to date, this fix doesn't work. There are actually numerous places/files which mention the Street_address, but fail to mention company or suburb. I have tried to add these in, and still it carries the address, minus the company and second line of address. If anyone has come up with a solution please let me know
