Can anyone tell me how to add text to the purchase confirmation email sent out by checkout process.php ? I would like to add appropriate text in several places but mainly following this line //fec start // lets start with the email confirmation $email_order = STORE_NAME . "\n" . can I just enter html into the file ( hasn't worked when I tried it :) ) or do I need to do something in a language file and then link to it ? There must be some way of tidying up this email regards Graham

Ok, I have an update, it is looking in the right table..... If I go into my database and edit the heading title and description fields to put the info in there then it shows up on the site ok..... so myproblem would seem to be that the titles and descriptions i am putting in from the admin area are not getting into the database. but why ????? I dont know :) regards Graham

Hi. Still struggling with my problem and trying to work out what is causing the problem..... the error shows that osc is looking in the wrong table for the entries concerned so i tried copying those fields into the categories table as well but that did nothing. :) Looking in the database there are no entries for the tests I have made so is the problem that osc is looking in the wrong place or that the info isnt going into the database in the first place ? any ideas what else I can do ? regards Graham

Hi again I am not sure about which osc other than that it is 2,2 and I only downloaded it a few weeks ago. and yes, those defines are in the database_tables file. sounding ominous isn't it :) I do have lots of other contribs, some of which are in the same files but I checked the code carefully before changing it. regards Graham

Nope, I did that bit, and went back into phpmyadmin after I got the fault to check they were there. I have ... categories_description and inside that I have categories_id language_id categories_name categories_heading_title categories_description When I look in the database the categories_name is full of the existing category names and categories_heading_title and Categories_description are all full of NULLs Beats me :) regards Graham

Hi, just installed your category descriptions contribution and liked the look of it on your example page. However, as soon as I enter a category title on the category edit page I get this 1054 - Unknown column 'categories_name' in 'field list' update categories set categories_name = '', categories_heading_title = '', categories_description = '', last_modified = now() where categories_id = '2' [TEP STOP] and this when i put something in the category description 1054 - Unknown column 'categories_name' in 'field list' update categories set categories_name = '', categories_heading_title = '', categories_description = '', last_modified = now() where categories_id = '2' [TEP STOP] Guess I've missed something somewhere :) regards Graham

Satish ..... thanks for that, I was afraid that might be the answer. Being almost a total plank when it comes to PHP could you elaborate a little ? regards Graham

Hi I have Oscommerce set up with STS and fest easy Checkout but am having problems with Paypal getting back into the database. When I make a trial order and get to paypal everything is fine until I click to return to site then I get this error Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tep_db_connect() (previously declared in /homepages/44/d104865128/htdocs/shopname.co.uk/catalog/includes/functions/database.php:13) in /homepages/44/d104865128/htdocs/shopname.co.uk/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 13 and obviously the order doesnt show up in admin and the emails dont get sent. If the Paypal IPN contrib removes the need for the customer to click the return to site button at paypal then it would also solve this problem..... Yes ? Thanks for any help regards Graham

I have installed FEC along with STS and all seems to be working normally ...... until i also installed an individual postage contribution ( http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,367 ) and now I have a problem carrying the postage through to the checkout. Obviously the contribution didnt know I had FEC installed and I need to add code to the FEC pages ( no what or idea which ) to carry the postage field ( which was the db weight field ) from the product listing pages through to the checkout. Has anyone installed this contrib with FEC or does anyone know how I should do it ? regards Graham

Ok :) forget that, I just realised I can get the same thing by using checkout 3

I am having a couple of problems with this, not all related to fec :) The first one is that I have added a second block of code so I can have a second address for delivery if different to the billing address but cant figure out how to remove the 'required input' bits. I have checked the code for sections that are required and for sections that aren't but they seem the same to me :) Can anyone tell me how to do this ?

Hi all I am in the middle of installing the featured box contribution and am having a problem with one of the sts files. It says.... 15.3 Add the following lines to /catalog/includes/sts_display_output.php $template['featuredbox'] = strip_unwanted_tags($sts_block['featuredbox'], 'featuredbox'); and further down echo $sts_block['featured']; Well, I eventually found the file in the modules folder but it doesn't say where to insert these lines. I gave it my best guess but just get errors. Would any of you know where it goes and what is causing the errors? The error itself is related to an unrecognised call relating to the strip_unwanted_tags($sts_block['featuredbox'], 'featuredbox'); bit. At the moment, without the above code added to the file concerned I am just getting '$featuredbox' where the box is supposed to be. regards Graham
