  1. There is now a Search feature on the Contributions ... :D

There is but it doesn't seem to work too well. I just typed in - osc links - the title of the contrib I was looking for, and it brought up 40 contribs to choose from - none of which were the proper one. When I added quotes, it only brought up one - the wrong one. Oh well.

This is less of a complaint, and more of an observation.

However, I am so appreciative of all the people who are so quick to help out on this forum. Thanks. :bigups:

  2. No. These were POP3 accounts.

What's wierd is that I can create fake email addresses and it works just fine in my home office computer, but on other computers it doesn't work. But even that, I've tested on different OSs, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. But I don't think I ever used a web based email address to test it out.

  3. I'm using Ian's loaded from Feb. 17th. Everything seems to be working well, except I'm having issues with redeeming Gift Vouchers.

My problem is that when I send a Gift Voucher, the email is sent, but when someone clicks onto the Redeem GV page, and then tries to sign up for a new account, often (sometimes it works but I can't put my finger on when) it just takes someone back to the home page. It's very frustrating :?. And for a new user, it's utterly confusing.

Redeeming at time of checkout works fine, and I may end up changing the directions and the email and tell people just to enter their code at checkout - but I don't want to resort to that.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Does anyone have any thought on what is going on here?

By the way, the site is NOT live so if you want to sign up for an account to test it out, feel free. As of March 17th 2003, items will not be sent, orders will not be filled, credit cards will not be charged. I'm hoping the site can go live in about two more weeks.

    The site is:

    Thanks.

  4. Ok, let me get more specific...

has anyone used this contribution?  How well does it work and have you tried it on a Mac??

I answered my own question. I installed the above contribution (very easy to do). It works great on PC with IE 5.5+. In Netscape and Mac it just defaults to a regular text area.

If you install this, you can update to the most receint version of the HTML area at the website:

  5. I'd love to implement one of the available contributions that allows for WYSIWYG product editing. However, some say only for IE 5.5 and greater. Do these work only on PCs or does one work on a Mac too? My technophobic client uses a Mac and I would LOVE to allow him to use the WYSIWYG editor. It'll save me hours of tech support...

    Thanks

  6. Okay, I went thru and reinstalled everything again, and again changed all the values from 14 to 15 in admin/column_controller.php and also in column_controller.sql, rerun the column_controller.sql, and I'm right back where I started.

Column Controller appears in the Admin, but it shows Enable gzip compression and Compression Level as the two values, and the store itself has no columns.

    Help!!!

Ok... Can you post admin/column_controller.php and the relevant lines in admin/includes/application_top.php. Maybe if we look at it we can see what it looks like.

As for the store showing no values... I don't have any ideas right now, but did you just replace the column_left and column_right with the included files? If you put back your backup column files, to the columns show up again?

  7. I just did a dirty hack and it seems to be working.  I'm not completely sure what's going on, but until I find a better way, this is what I did - and it's only one line change...

    in admin/includes/application_top.php change:

    define('FILENAME_COLUMN_CONTROLLER', 'column_controller.php'); // added for column controller

    define('FILENAME_COLUMN_CONTROLLER', 'configuration.php?gID=15'); // added for column controller

If anyone has any idea why this needed to be changed I'd love to hear.

Thank you to Katrina Cornell for fixing my dirty hack. Ignore the above. It seems that all you have to do is open admin/column_controller.php in an editor and change the 14s to 15s.
