    Somone please respond!!!

    HI, I am having a show stopping problem but noone is responsing so I ado not know where to turn. When customers try to access Paypal through the PayPal IPN module (this was a problem with the old module as well) in IE7 they cannot get past the screen where they have to enter the security code from the graphic (to prevent robots from getting past the page). I have posted this question twice previously and noone is responding. I do not know if this may even be a problem that only I am seeing. So if you are using the PayPal IPN module and have tested it with IE7 I would like to know even if it is working fine for you. My other question, in case I can not get past this, what othe rmodule can I used to process credit cards without having to deal with the CC directly? Thanks for any help!!!

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

    I am using the PayPal IPN module for a product I am selling exclusively through download. With the IPN module if the user does not complete the transaction but goes past the page where you select the payment module (Only the IPN module is available) then the user can do the download. Any way I can prevent this until they get to the point where the item leaves the checkout basket?

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

    I put this in as a new topic by mistake so I am repeating it here where it should have been put in the first place. When I first tried to check out using the original PayPal module with IE 7 I could not get past the screen that gave you the graphic with a code to type in. It kept saying I typed in the wrong code. I called Paypal support and they told me to use FireFox. I did and it worked. Then after a while it started working with IE 7 to. Recently I switched to the IPN module and that works fine for me but one of my friends tried to check out with I.E. 7 and hit the same problem. Is anyone else seen this issue and have any ideas on how to resolve it?

    No Charge products

    What I did was make a copy of the COD module and change it to be a no charge module. Then I put logic in the module to turn it off if the order total was > 0. I put the oposite logic in the other payment modules so that they turned off if the order was = 0. Here is the lines I added to the PayPal Module in the constructor: class paypal { var $code, $title, $description, $enabled; // class constructor function paypal() { global $order; $this->code = 'paypal'; $this->title = MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_TEXT_TITLE; $this->description = MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_TEXT_DESCRIPTION; $this->sort_order = MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_SORT_ORDER; $this->enabled = ((MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_STATUS == 'True') ? true : false); if ((int)MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_ORDER_STATUS_ID > 0) { $this->order_status = MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL_ORDER_STATUS_ID; } // The folowing if is what I added to turn off this module if the total is 0. // Turn off this module if the order amount is $0.00 if ( (is_object($order)) && ( $order->info['total' ] == 0) ) { $this->enabled = false; } if (is_object($order)) $this->update_status(); $this->form_action_url = 'https://secure.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr'; }
  8. What is the difference betweeen the PayPal IPN module and the one that comes with osCommerce? I am having lots of trouble with the standard one and noone has responded to my questions here so I am thikning of switching.

    Problem with order processing

    I am using the standard PayPal module that comes with the osCommerce download. The result of an order is a download link. After you confirm the purchase in PayPal it puts you in a screen that suggests you sign up with PayPal. There is a link to view your reciept and one to return to merchant. I am finding if you do not click the return to merchant link the order does not get created in osCommerce but the customers cc is billed. Anyone see this problem?

    Problems with PayPal and I.E. 7

    Hi, I am using the standard PayPal module that comes with the oscommerce download. When using I.E. 7 and you get to the PayPal screen that has you type in the security code (the graphic to foil automated crawlers) it will not accept the code no matter how many times you try. If you try again later it seems like it starts working. Does anyone know what the problem is?

    Thanks for your response. I do not understand what you mean by: I signed up for a Paypal Buisness Account and implemented Website Payment Standard, is this not the correct one?

    Official PayPal IPN Support Thread

    I have three questions. When I use PayPal it asks for some of the information that was provided when the Customer registered with osCommerce. Is there a way to avoid having the Customer input this info twice? Paypal has an option to have the customer redirected back to the Shopping cart, which is important to my site since they download the product from the final screen in osCommerce. PayPal wants a URL to do this, what do I provide for that URL. In order to test that PayPal is working I am creating a transaction using my credit card and then doing a refund. Is this the best way? Thanks for any help!

    Enabling Registration

    I am trying to setup my catalog with a couple of products and am testing ordering them. When I bring up the catalog the first thing I need to do is register. I get a error when I try the link. I was told I need to enable SSL. So I did that suinsg my Hosts shared SSL Certificate. When I try to go to the Catalog page I get the "This page contains secure and nonsecure items" message. I was told by my hosts support that this is because my images are not secure. I deleted the images but still get the warning. Also the Register Link does not work because I loose the https link. Can anyone help me understand what I am doing wrong? Thanks!
