    Protx Direct v2.22

Aparently the upgrade was on test and live servers also, I had been told conflicting reports from their support but it has now been confirmed by Joe that the upgrade was also on the live server https://support.protx.com/forum/Topic7730-22-3.aspx#bm7777 I have not had any further problems but for a few hours after the upgrade a lot of our customers made many repeat orders becuase they were not getting the order confirmation and we had 3 "Internal Server Error" statuses from Protx.

    Protx Direct v2.22

Any one had problems yesterday since Protx upgrade from 2.22 to 2.23 From 9.15am until around midnight we have seen a lot of customers making multiple orders thinking that the first order was not sucessful

    Protx Direct v2.22

OK just tried it again now so i could give you the error message and it has gone through fine :o the customer tried it 10 times with the same error and I tried it twice and each time the error was "The credit card number entered is invalid.<br>Please check the number and try again." this error was given immediately after clicking the first continue button after entering the card number. Logic tells me I must have entered it incorrectly (twice) and the customer entered it incorrectly 10 times but I am sure I did not, sorry to have wasted your time I feel a right plonker now

Sorry I meant the protx_cc_validation.php I don't understand "LUHN check" or "BIN range" but I am using protx_cc_validation.php and the number I pm'd you fails the check but is authorised fine via VSP admin virtual terminal

    Protx Direct v2.22

Fantastic contribution and has been working very well since August 2007 but now seems some new cards are not passing the validation checks in classes/cc-validation.php is this now out of date? has any one else had problems or know how to fix this?

    Protx Direct v2.22

Urgent problem with new Protx server or V4.4 Any Customers with more than 2 dots in the email address can not checkout and get this error: I have tested this and it is the same for any email address containing more than 2 dots, it worked fine before the server upgrade. I have put in a support ticket with protx but am still waiting for a response from them.

    Protx Direct v2.22

Since the nightmare of the 1st August Protx server upgrade I have been using PayPal Pro direct to process our credit cards but now Protx seem to have got their act together I have decided to go back to Protx and have just installed the latest v4.4 and all seems to be well, however the only Maestro card I have is a Spainish card. Before the upgrade when I tried to use this card it would get to and pass the 3d authorisation process but then the tranaction was rejected, now when I try to use it I get the message

    Protx Direct v2.22

Hi again Tom Once again many thanks for the outstanding work you have been doing on this, my shop with ver 4.3 has been absolutely fine but now we have had this email from Protx saying they are upgrading their server Well I have set up a copy of my shop and tried some test transactions on the test server and with Send Shopping Cart "True" got this error on OSC (With Send Shopping Cart "False" no problem) So logged into protx test server and the error for those transactions is From reading earlier posts I guess this is because there was no shipping cost on that order (customer collection) because it works OK if shipping is charged. The thing that worries me though is no shipping charge and Send Shopping Cart "True" works fine on my live shop with the live Protx server so is this going to break it when they change over to the new system on 1st August? Also they have a list of the new URL's

    Protx Direct v2.22

V4.1 seems to be working very well :D many thanks for all the work you have put into this The only small issue I have now is that the void function does not work (gives the error "Transaction type is missing or invalid,") on the database it has the Transaction type as "CANCEL" and of course if you then (after trying to void) try to refund you get the error "Refund Failed,Related Vendor Transaction Code missing or invalid length" however if you delete the database entry for the failed "void" or try to refund before trying to void then the refund will work just fine.

    Protx Direct v2.22

Hi again v4.0a works like a dream now except that in order details there is nothing in the protx section just the headers, have looked at protx_direct database table and all the info is in there correctly except that: customer_id = 0 .....the account I used to test the transaction has custome id = 3 value = 0 ..... the actual transaction value was £0.72 This is not a big problem to me, we never had that info to hand with the order details before but I would love to be able to refund/void a transaction from the order details page, I believe v4.0 also has that fuction?

    Protx Direct v2.22

Hi, thank you again for the fantastic work you have been doing on this. Just installed the v4 on my test server and got 2 problems problem 1. when trying to run the upgrade-v3.0.sql I get: #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'CURRENT_TIMESTAMP on update CURRENT_TIMESTAMP' at line 5 So I left that line out and just ran: ALTER TABLE protx_direct ADD `value` decimal(15,4) default NULL AFTER `txtype`, MODIFY `vpstxid` varchar(50) default NULL, MODIFY `securitykey` varchar(10) default NULL; (I also get the same error if I try to run the new_install.sql file) Problem 2. When trying a test (live) transaction after submitting card details: 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE Name='orders'' at line 1 SHOW TABLE STATUS WHERE Name='orders'

I have tried to reproduce the problem by first putting through a transaction with incorrect cvv or expiry date and then doing it again with correct details but have not been able to after quite a few tries, however after a little more investigation the error does seem to be after a failed attempt (due to incorrect cvv or expiry date) but otherwise it is quite random.

    Protx Direct v2.22

Hello Tom Thank you for all your hard work on this. Since moving from v2.4 to v3.0c I (and my customers) occasionally get this error message: Sometimes it is necessary to log out and log back in before the payment will be accepted but usually if you try it again it is OK. Any pointers as to where to start looking for the cause of this would be greatly appreciated.
