Zone Shipping by State, Ver. 1.0

Hi Skittles, Thanks so much for your help! This will make my life much easier. If you could email that info to: lwalters@allaboutwicker.com, I would greatly appreciate it. I only added a false weight to 2 products to mess with it, so no big deal in removing that info. Gee, for not being a "programmer", you sure know how to work these files! Thanks Again, Leslie

Zone Shipping by State, Ver. 1.0

Hi Skittles, This looks like a great contrib. I am hoping that you can help me understand it better. I need it to give me 3 zones across the US, but I don't use weight, I use order total. I experimented a little with it by putting the price of the item in as its weight, however, the system seems to add onto the amount that I put in there. Is there any other way I can modify this contrib to use order total? Thanks in advance for any help. I really need this zone thing as I have some bigger items that really get pricey to ship across the country for me, but I don't want to charge that much for customers closer if I don't have to. Are there any other contribs that do what I need? I can't find one, unless I don't understand what they are explaining it does. All the other contribs seem to talk about countries, not states. I am still a newbie at some of this. Thanks again, Leslie

    Wishlist 3.0 Support Thread

Hi, I looked at your site, lotions2go, and see 'BOX_HEADING_CUSTOMER_WISHLIST", then when I click there I get "http://lotions2go.com/ecommerce/os/catalog/FILENAME_WISHLIST I think that you may not have done all of the install instructions. Try doing the following code changes, after you have made back up copies of thes files of course: 1) Edit catalog/includes/filenames.php Add at the very bottom before the ?>: define('FILENAME_WISHLIST', 'wishlist.php'); define('FILENAME_WISHLIST_HELP', 'wishlist_help.php'); define('FILENAME_WISHLIST_PUBLIC', 'wishlist_public.php'); 2) Edit catalog/includes/languages/english.php Find this code: // shopping_cart box text in includes/boxes/shopping_cart.php define('BOX_HEADING_SHOPPING_CART', 'Shopping Cart'); define('BOX_SHOPPING_CART_EMPTY', '0 items'); Below that code ADD this: // wishlist box text in includes/boxes/wishlist.php define('BOX_HEADING_CUSTOMER_WISHLIST', 'My Wishlist'); define('TEXT_WISHLIST_COUNT', 'Currently %s items are on your Wish List.'); You may not have done other parts of the install instructions, but these are what stuck out at me. Hope it helps, Leslie

    shipping

I think where you need to add this is in the file: catalog/includes/languages/english/checkout_shipping.php I am not quite sure how you charge then for shipping though. Are you saying you take credit cards and don't charge their account until after shipping charges are determined? I was just wondering. I hope this helps, Leslie

    shipping

Hi, I am sorry but I am not sure where it is that you want this wording to be shown. If you could post again with more info, maybe I could help. I'm not a total novice, not an expert either, but willing to help if able. The only way to learn is to get in there and figure it out!

    Attribute Sets Plus

Thanks for all you do Toasty! I just got this installed, but can see it will be a great time saver for me once I have made all the attribute sets that I need! Thanks for replying back to me. I'll keep trying to look thru the threads to see if anything sounds like it will work when I have time. I have about 90 fabric choices for our cushions and I want to be able to give them the option to order them along with any furniture pieces they are purchasing. I would like the "None" attribute to show up first with no extra charge so as not to make them feel pressured that they have to purchase them. After that I don't really care if the fabric pattern numbers are mixed up. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

    Attribute Sets Plus

Hi, I did have issues with this contrib when I installed it at first, the options box was totally blank, but I think I have figured them out except that I can't seem to control the order at which the attributes display in the option. I think it is supposed to go in the order you designate as 1 would show first, 2 second, 3 third and so on. Am i not understanding this or did I not install this contrib right. Can anyone help me? Thanks

    loading an .sql file

Hey, I just typed "how to load a SQL file" into google and got lots of results of downloadable programs to do this. They seem to be called something on the lines of "SQL Query Analyzer". I don't have the time right now to get into this deeper, but I am sure you can find a program there to download for free that will do the trick! That's all I can suggest to you on this one. Best Wishes and have a Blessed Christmas! Leslie

    loading an .sql file

Hi Paul, I think I just reply to this question to you a minute ago. Quite funny! Anyway, here it is again. The only way I know of is to use a program, one of which is called phpMyAdmin. You probably have this somewhere in your cpanel (control panel) for your website. On one of mine I have to first go into MySQLAdministration then the phpMyAdmin is in there. Search in your cpanel and you might find it. It was already available in both of the sites I have with different companies. Anyway, hopefully its there, if not maybe you can download it. Assuming its there, what you do is make sure you have made a backup of your database! Just in case. Then go into phpmyadmin and make sure you are in the correct database if you have more then one on your site. You will see several tabs on the top of a box and one wil be Import or if that isn't there then click on the one that shows SQL. You should get a Browse button feature. Just browse for where the SQL file is on your computer for the contribution installation and click GO or possibly RUN and that is all! it should do what the file commanded it to do. You may also manually cut and paste the SQL file into the box, but I would prefer to browse for it. I am fairly new to this website stuff myself so maybe there is another way to do it. I am just giving you what I know. Don't you have a control panel for your site? Hope this helps! Leslie

  12. Hi Everyone, I'm new to posting here so forgive me if I don't do it right. I have been viewing for a while and learning so much. However, I just can't figure this one out. I installed the image magic contrib and my images do not show up. When I check the property I see image magic.php there and when I turn it off they come back. I see a post referring to code missing a ; but when I check my html_output.php I can't find that exact wording where this missing ; is supposed to go. I also added a thumbnail folder as I saw a post talking about that and there wasn't one in my files. Can someone give me any clue what I am doing wrong? Thanks
